wildpaw is a well-meaning, prudent, and affectionate tom who loves to be the center of attention. as the only son of the leader, wildpaw sure gets plenty of it, and his extroverted self enjoys every second. many expect him to be rather insufferable when they first meet him, but despite his privileged upbringing and frequent spoiling by his parents, he's turned out to be quite the good kid for the most part. he's quick with a joke and can be pretty good at problem solving when he sets his mind to it. he's eager to prove himself as a future warrior, and to him, the idea of being in charge of literally saving the world as they know it is a thrilling proposition. unfortunately, he's not always the best at reading the intentions of others, and can be rather gullible for it. he's also quite clumsy, and can be bad with social cues. he's not dumb, but... well, scratch that, he's a little dumb. but he's got a heart of gold, and would do anything to protect his friends!

mistpaw is a small, meticulous, and hostile apprentice, with shor

nds a lot of time in the medicine den, and knows basic herbs. mi

born mistkit alongside two other kits, she was aggressively comp
etitive from the start. while her sisters excelled in hunting and c
ombat, mistpaw found that she had a knack for meticulous plann
ing and a commanding aura despite her being significantly smalle
r than her fellow apprentices. though she stands as low as the sh
oulders of her denmates, mistpaw often finds a way to weasel he
r way into a position of command as she works to satisfy her cont
rolling nature and prove that she was just as skilled as her sisters
even with her damaged paw and general impatience. control is p
ossibly the most important thing in mistpaw's life, and she will ha
ppily bare her fangs and wreak all manner of havoc just to maint
ain any hold on it she might have. needless to say, she is not easy
to work with if not outright impossible. socially, mistpaw is horre
ndously awkward and struggles to hold a conversation that was m
ore personal than, "and how was your morning?". instead, mistpa
w has found comfort in sharpening her cunning and commanding
aura. in all, it is more than a bit difficult for mistpaw to be a tea
m player or a genuine companion, which is sure to pose a few prl
oblems as she and her fellow apprentices take on this challengin
g task. just me trying to make a problematic child? yeah xxxxxxx

Innocent and meek, Lionpaw is a youthful apprentice with a spirit as bright as her pelt—when she lets it show. She is extremely shy and soft-spoken, keeping to herself more often than not. Naive in addition to this introversion, Lionpaw finds social situations very difficult to negotiate. There is definite compassion and warmth within her heart, but she has trouble displaying that to others. Attention and pressure are the two things Lionpaw fears above all else; under the former, she’s easily embarrassed and nervous, and under the latter, she’s quick to freeze up altogether. Impulse decisions are not her forte, although neither are any decisions, really. Lionpaw dislikes having to be in control and would much rather be cast as a follower than a leader. As a result, she can be something of a doormat, and she’s rather insecure about having to make her own choices, no matter how small or big they are. The future scares her, as such, but she’s not any more comfortable living in the present.

As awkward in physical matters as she is social ones, Lionpaw is fairly clumsy, unsteady on her paws even at her age. Though her voice is quiet, her movements are not, leading to many slip-ups in combat and hunting training alike. Her parents are both significant warriors in the clan, as are their first litter, but whether Lionpaw not seeming to inherent their skill is a natural or more psychological matter is unclear; at the very least, Lionpaw is used to being in her parents’ and siblings’ shadow and is quite anxious about not living up to their standards. She lacks much self-confidence—since becoming an apprentice, she’s made some attempts to fake some degree of it, but she doesn’t think she pulls it off well, and she often lapses into apologies eventually. Though she wants desperately to prove herself, Lionpaw is very insecure in her ability to do so, and for now she’s just trying to focus on not standing out in a positive or negative way.
