Sol started life as a simple black cat somewhere in a coastal town in Eastern Asia. At some point, they had found themself on a boat that docked in the United States. Sol was often treated badly by the humans in the town where the boat had docked until she was taken in by small human child. It was then, that they connected with a young witch named Lylah who made them her familiar. In the beginning, they were extremely hostile towards their new master before eventually warming up to the witch, though it took a long while. Sol is a secretive individual and keeps everything close to their chest, at times not even telling Lylah how they feel. They are often sarcastic and easily snappish, especially when in cat form where they have no problem biting a probing hand. To newcomers, they seems frigid and gruff, but those who know them well are aware it is a result of their trust issues and not genuine viciousness. Surprising to many, Sol is very protective of her master and the coven as they took them out of a hostile and dangerous environment. They are silently caring and flinch at affection that lasts too long unless it is from their master or someone they know has pure intentions and good character. Sol is not naturally obedient and their first reaction is to usually rebel against whatever Lylah asks them to do, but will usually back down quickly as it can be a tad painful if they resist for too long. However, it takes a lot of coaxing for them to do whatever the rest of the coven want from them. At times Sol can seem a bit arrogant and vain, as they are very much aware of how attractive both of their human forms are. Sol is extremely intrapersonal and is often confused about others' emotions and actions though they do try. They have no concept of time and how it functions, therefore, has no idea how old they actually are.

Harrison Korei Ishii is the third eldest child and only son of Hisae Ishii, a high council member for a coven in Boston, and Aito Ishii (née Honda), a human flower shop owner. Harris comes from a long line of primarily only female witches with a couple of male witches born every two-three generations, because of this girls are desired over male offspring. He was often a disappointment in his mother's eyes as most magical abilities, apart from clairvoyance and precognition, didn't come as naturally to him as it did his sisters, leading his grandmother to take over his training. With the way his family is, Harrison was taught from a young age that male witches were weaker and should be subservient to female witches, which he internalized. He also struggled more in academics than all of his sisters which led him to feel even more shame as a child and teen. At the age of 20, after a severe scolding from his mother, Harri was kicked out of his family's home with no one able to convince his mother to let him stay. He came across the Westray coven after his grandmother instructed him to seek them out and was surprised when they let him join their coven. Despite the way, he was brought up and the guilt over feeling like a disappointment, Harrison is a cheerful and innocent person. He's been referred to as a doofus on more than one occasion and is the first to admit that he isn't the brightest person.
