It is 1842, and Europe's finest kingdoms, Arkley and Nearon, have always had their differences. From their beliefs to the way things are run, they are unsurprisingly butting heads time and time again. However, recently, they have found themselves getting on rather nicely, and in celebration, they decide to come together and throw a massive masquerade ball for their citizens.

But it doesn't end there.

Truth be told, the Kings of Arkley and Nearon know they will not get along forever, and in an attempt to put off yet another disagreement for as long as possible, and keep the attention away from their political differences, they decide to randomly pair up the guests at the ball. Some may be from the same kingdom, others might be from one another. Unfortunately, this plan isn't as successful as originally intended, for the kingdoms soon begin their next fight over land and trade, and conflict rises once again. This time around, things get messy, and the pairs know that in order to continue safely seeing one another, they must find a way to avoid the commotion. If only it was that easy...

03. any gender, sexuality, etc. are allowed (please keep in mind that FxM was the only relationship approved but we are accepting same-sex relationships [consider this a scandalous drama])
04. one character must have a lower wealth of 1-5 and the other must have a higher one of 6-10
05. keep drama to a minimum
06. plot ideas are welcomed, but please put them in the chat first!
07. all face claims must be real people!
08. you do not have to be experienced with this time period, as long as you know the basics (how they dress & the manners they use)
09. pairings are all random & although the characters believe (at least at first) they are stuck together, we as writers know we can change things around! However, if you go through with this, the swapping must either be in secret, or your pair must come to a mutual agreement that things aren't working out

This is a semi-advanced roleplay so please try for a decent paragraph at the min (7ish sentences). We want to see you reach your full potential!

Arkley: very business-like. Is not very fond of the idea of the Enlightenment, still very religious with God, heavy monarchy government, slow changes & not keen on the idea of changing anything. Good with money but very old-fashioned
