Main Traits:
⏵ Size; 3.3 ft to 2.5 ft at the shoulder, and weigh between
200 and 400 pounds. The Runic wolves are full-grown at
three years of age.
⏵ Markings; These wolves often have strange markings on
their cheeks, foreheads, shoulders, hips, and/or thighs.
These marks are often brightly colored but may come in
more natural colors. Though these markings may be in
other places as well.The inner ears - both fur and skin -
are often of a similar color.
⏵ Smilodon Features; there are four main traits that the
Runic wolves gained from their Smilodon DNA, Sabertooth,
retractable claws, and shorter tail and their eyes.
⏵ Eyes; Their eyes are rather cat-like, the pupils are slits.
They also can come in a wide variety of colors, both natural and not.
⏵ Feathers; It's unknown why, but they have feathers around
their necks, some have more than others. Sometimes only a
few, others have an overflowing amount to the paint that
feathers can be found on their underbellies and tails. Feathers
for the most part blend in with the fur, though the tips are
often bright colors.
Other features:
⏵ Runic wolves often show the traits of their ancestors and look
similar to said ancestors. Some have brindled, striped, or patched
coats. Some may look like a normal wolf - aside from the norm
- and others look like a pit bull, or a german shepherd, or a Border
collie.
⏵ Very few wolves may be born with a mutation, like an extra tail,
or horns. It is unknown why, but depending on the leader and general
mood of the pack, these wolves may either be shunned or
considered god-like.
⏵As a wolf ages, and gains ranking, the packs sage will mark a wolf
with the marking of their new rank.
⏵ Runic wolves are omnivores, though they favor meat, they will partake
in any edible flora available.
