Zoya Alekseevna "Zosha" Voronina, codename Yogi, is a KGB agent
who specializes in interrogation. It is safer to assume that she
sprung into existence when she became the agency's Leveret: the
young charming woman who could make herself so nonthreatening
that her marks were tripping over their own feet trying to get
her all the information she needed, without ever realizing they
were being interrogated — although she has her more tradition-
al ways of extracting information as well. Why is it safer? Be-
cause Zoya is a remorseless liar, who feeds every person she
meets a different story about her past, depending on her own
read of the listener. It could be sad, happy, or just typical —
whatever it needs to be to bring her where she intends to get.
It's difficult to know if Zoya's in character, playing an angle and
conducting an interrogation, or if she's just Zoya, with no ulte-
rior motives. Maybe there exists no clear division, for rarely
does Zoya act without an ulterior motive. Any given conversa-
tion could be a part of an effort to get information out of you,
whether it is for personal purposes or a mission, which makes

Zoya is hardly a creature of empathy, and she mostly sees the emotions

She reads people from an interrogator's frame of mind, knowing when
to push, and when to let them fill the silence and talk themselves into a
corner. Gaining someone's sympathy or showing aggression are merely
tools to get what she wants.
Zoya most often presents herself as charming, confident, and assertive.
She's a glib silver tongue, a natural at feigning interest and fooling oth-
