important plot info
the former leader's name was rosestar, a beloved abyssian molly with a heart of gold.
some in the clan thought she was too soft for considering herself an equal to her clanmates,
but the majority adored her for the way she truly cared for each and every clan member.
with her death looming over like a shadow, how will the clan cope? their trust is shifting to
wolfwatcher, the deputy, to figure out this whole mess. but will he lead them to a better
place? or climb atop his newfound power whilst they drown? only those who recently
departed to starclan have seen the murderer's face, not even a clump of fur for a clue was
left at any of the scenes of their deaths. it could be anyone. now is a time for trust, riot,
betrayal, and scandal as accusations are flying left and right... but no one can seem to
point in the right direction.

• DESCRIPTION moonpaw is an average-sized unaltered molly with a fluffy coat. her fur has a white base with silver marble tabby patches and dapples, giving her the prefix she has. her eyes are a shade of frosty blue like an early morning sky and she has average strength but impeccable balance and speed. she's a better hunter than fighter and tends to be quite a pacifist due to her being more lean than muscular.
• PERSONALITY moonpaw is a peaceful, mysterious character. she's introverted and a bit of a mystic, having a huge amount of faith in starclan. she has a very active intuition and listens to her gut before doing anything. she spends a lot of time alone but enjoys being around others occasionally. she's quite adventurous and enjoys being out at night, stargazing or walking by herself. she likes the risk of sneaking out and doing little things she's not supposed to without getting caught or taking it too far. although a bit impulsive and rebellious, she's far from malicious, and would never go out of her way to hurt anyone else. she's relatively easy-going but has a smart sense of humor. where she lacks in physical strength and size, she makes up for with her wit and charm. moonpaw knows how to sweet-talk her way out of almost anything, and she can be dangerous when she opens her mouth. while some could consider her manipulative, others could consider her smart. she simply likes to dodge consequences for little things like sneaking out to hunt at night or look at the stars in a clearing her mother used to bring her to. part of her rebellion is somewhat of a cry for attention after her mother's death, as it took a much bigger toll on her than she was willing to communicate with others. she didn't completely process it, and sometimes she feels as if her mother's soul is constantly around her, keeping her safe like a guardian spirit. her little acts of impulsive rebellion are mostly an attempt to deal with her emotions after losing her mother, and most of the older cats let her off the hook quite a bit because of it.
• HISTORY moonpaw is the daughter of none other than rosestar herself. she was the only surviving kit in her litter, and it was said that rosestar had a cursed womb, only being able to have one kit that survived long enough to make it out of the woods. one of her siblings was stillborn, and the other died a moon old after catching greencough. moonpaw's father, hawkcloud, was always very active in her life until mysteriously disappearing many moons before the murders begun. no body was ever found, so it was assumed that he ran away to live as a loner. moonpaw took it pretty hard, and had some serious abandonment issues for a while, but healed them eventually. she became close to her mother, and rosestar was quite protective over her being her only surviving kit. rosestar tended to her leader duties regularly but always made time for her child, making sure she was always in line and behaving properly. after her mother turned up dead just outside of camp, moonpaw was devastated but kept up a strong facade, pretending it didn't affect her as much as it did. she grieved in her own way, sitting vigil alone for a few more nights and praying to starclan that her mother would have justice someday.

• DESCRIPTION berrytwist is a pale cream tom, practically off-white but with an eggshell color to his coat. his markings are marble tabby stripes that are rather faint, just two shades or so darker than his base coat. he has medium-length fur that wisps a bit at the ends, creating a sort of wind-blown look. he's taller than average with a lanky figure and long legs, making him swift and agile. his eyes are a pale shade of blue, making him look quite ghostly.
• PERSONALITY berrytwist is nothing short of youthful. he's playful and cunning and prefers to take things less seriously. he uses humor to cope with his issues and when he's really going through something, he becomes sarcastic and cynical. it's rare to see him without a playful smirk on his face and even when he's not feeling his best, he fakes it. he hates being perceived as weak and does all he can to put up a strong front, often pretending he's as solid as an oak tree. in reality, he can be a bit sensitive. berrytwist is definitely a flirt, charming and alluring. he has a smile that can win over anyone's heart, and he knows it too. he's broken a few hearts before, none of which were intentional, but out of sheer ignorance.
• HISTORY berrytwist was born to a pair of older warriors named creamfur and blossompool, both skilled and rather serious cats. he was born in a litter of three along with his sisters, breezekit and sloekit. out of the three of them, berrykit was always the troublemaker, constantly getting scolded by his parents. meanwhile, breezekit was the cold one, and sloekit was their favorite. when they became apprentices, berrypaw was more excited about his newfound freedom from the nursery than anything else, while his sisters had other dreams and ambitions. berrypaw trained with the mantra 'work hard, play harder' and still stayed up to his childish ways even into warriorhood. while still training, berrypaw met another apprentice named cloudpaw, who caught his eye and his interest. she entranced him, he was head over heels for her. they would train together and slept near each other in the apprentice's den. upon becoming warriors, he received the name berrytwist, and she became cloudstep. the two of them would frequently race through the territory on what they called patrols, but were really just sneaky outings where no one would interrupt them. moons passed while berrytwist tried to gather his emotions up to tell her how he felt about her, and when he finally gathered the courage, he found out the harsh truth. cloudstep was admired by many other than himself, and was already being courted by another warrior he'd seen around camp, an older tom named wolfgaze. he was heartbroken but masked it well, pretending nothing was wrong and acting like he was fine being just a friend to her. the two grew distant as time passed, and eventually, they were merely strangers. after that event, berrytwist vowed to never let anyone else hurt him like that again, and became a bit of a player in order to keep his own heart safe. around a moon cycle into warriorhood, tragedy struck that brought his entire family back together for the first time in ages. his sister, sloefall, had been murdered and was found by a border patrol in the woods. no clues were found regarding the killer, they were quick, precise, and smart. it tore his family apart. berrytwist and breezepool kept a strong facade up, but creamfur and blossompool were absolutely broken. they never stopped grieving sloefall, mourning her from the elders den to this day.

• PERSONALITY goldengaze is kind and calm, a natural healer who spends most of her time to herself. she's quite introverted and doesn't enjoy being around many cats at once. she's best working on her own and enjoys as little social interaction as possible, so she spends most of her spare time picking and sorting herbs. she isn't shy, she just likes to keep to herself, but when presented with the need to socialize, she does just fine. she's more stoic than cheerful, preferring to get to the point rather than dawdle along with everyday, common things. she likes to do her job and do her own thing.
• HISTORY goldengaze was born in a litter of five to a warrior and a leader, making her early life quite hectic. her mother's name was dappledstream and her father was named hawkstar, and between hawkstar's duties and her four other siblings, she didn't spend much time with her father. she had wonderful parents, both doting and present as often as they could be, and out of her siblings she was closest to her parents. they were older when their kits were born and were very gentle and kind. she had two sisters, applekit and fallowkit, and two brothers, stagkit and warrenkit. even as a kit, goldenkit knew she wanted to become a medicine cat. she wasn't emotionally built for the cutthroat life of a warrior, and was better with herbs than any of the other kits in her generation. the medicine cat when she was young would frequently catch her sneaking out of the nursery to watch him work. her mentor's name was littlepeak, a kind, older tom who was very skilled at his duty. he never got angry at her when she'd sneak in, and would instead teach her little things about herbs. he had never taken an apprentice before in his position, and upon goldenkit's age, requested for her immediately. her father happily agreed and she began training as the clan's medicine cat apprentice. her apprenticeship was smooth, there were never any huge issues within the clan that called for stress and action except for a greencough outbreak one leafbare, but things were good. she had a great bond with her mentor, occasionally treating her siblings when they'd get into scuffles while training, but mostly going out into the forest to pick herbs with littlepeak and discuss their properties over and over until she knew them like the camp she'd lived in her entire life. receiving her medicine cat name was one of her best experiences, travelling to the starstream to consult those who lived before her time. she was given the name goldengaze and joined littlepeak as an equal shortly before he passed away from old age. at first, she was devastated, but she became more comfortable being alone. her siblings had become warriors, and although she'd drifted apart from them, she watched them grow and flourish. warrenpaw became warrenskip, stagpaw became stagsnap, fallowkit became fallowflower, and applekit became appleheart. they were happy, so goldengaze was happy for them. although part of her secretly longs for a friend or just someone to be around, she is content where she is in life.

• DESCRIPTION oaktuft is a huge tom, larger than average, with a fluffy dark brown coat and large black stripes. he has a white muzzle, chest, and underbelly. his body has a few scars on it, one on his flank, one on his back, and one over his left eye. he has striking hazel-amber eyes and a brooding stare. oaktuft is a maine coon, which gives him his impressive size. he's strong and very muscular, making him an intimidating and dangerous opponent in combat.
• PERSONALITY despite his appearance, oaktuft, deep down, is a gentle giant. he may appear to be stoic, cold, and even scary, but this tom has a heart of gold and a jolly smile. he's kind and warm as well as nurturing and protective. he enjoys taking care of those around him and never likes seeing a clanmate down. he's respectful and easy-going, letting little grievances slide, but takes darker matters much more seriously. he's a family man, hoping to settle down and have kits with someone someday. he loves being around kits and apprentices, teaching them little tricks on how to be as strong as he is.
• HISTORY oaktuft has had a relatively easy life except for a few bigger bumps. he was born to a tom named thornfur and a molly named nightfeather with a brother named shallowkit who died shortly after being born. as an apprentice, he trained harder than anyone he knew to be the best he could be, and grew into an exemplary warrior with the strength of three cats. he was always an incredible fighter, a nightmare of an opponent to have to fight. good at both offense and defense, he was tough to beat, and won nearly every fight he got into while training or just playing around. shortly after becoming a warrior, he met a molly named silverdash who he ended up falling in love with. the two became mates rather quickly, rushing into things faster than they should've. although happy at first, the two would frequently bicker until it became a bigger problem. he put all of their drama to the side when he found out she was having kits. he was positively overjoyed... until it came out that they weren't his. she'd been with another tom named antlerpelt during the time they were together and it absolutely shattered him. he was willing to pretend he didn't know, trying his best to be there for silverdash during her pregnancy and taking care of her just for the sake of keeping her from becoming stressed. unfortunately, she ended up passing away while in labor and her kits didn't survive either. this broke oaktuft for a while and it was very hard for him to heal for many moons before he finally found peace and moved on.

• DESCRIPTION sheepcloud is a petite, fluffy molly with a mink-point ragdoll coat. she has a small white diamond on her forehead, white socks, and a white tail tip. she's quite small for a warrior but her fluff makes her look bigger and she keeps herself properly groomed at all times, taking pride in her pristine, silky, lightly-curly fur. she has pale blue eyes and a rather long, fluffy, bushy tail, giving her good balance.
• PERSONALITY sheepcloud is quite calm and nurturing. she's a real sweetheart, always happy to help the queens out with their kits. she spends most of her time in the nursery or out hunting for the queens or going to the medicine den to ask for herbs for them. when she's not busy tending to pregnant or nursing queens, she's socializing amongst the general population of the clan. she's quite feminine, a bit of a girly girl as one might say. she can have a head in the clouds sometimes, living in a fantasy in her mind. in the past, sheepcloud was a bit of a heartbreaker. she would always have cats show interest in her but would turn them down because of her high standards. now, she's looking for someone who does fit those standards. sheepcloud, however, is truly the definition of ignorance is bliss. although she is intelligent, she can also be quite ditsy and she doesn't connect the dots easily or pick up on certain cues. she's likely to assume the best out of someone or a situation every time, and chooses to look at the positive elements instead of looking for the bad. she's rarely suspicious and usually trusts very easily, making her easier than others to take advantage of. she does have self respect, though. wrong her and she will remove herself from the situation. however, love is a weakness for her. she'll do just about anything for those she loves, which is a strength and a fault within itself. she's incredibly loyal and protective of those she loves, doing everything in her power to keep them happy and healthy. she's definitely contradicting sometimes: smart but clueless. she's very word-smart and emotionally intelligent, but when it comes to logic and reasoning she has no clue what to do. she wouldn't be the best in a position of power because of this, as she wouldn't be good at making logical choices. she's rather indecisive as it is, so she thrives in a position where she can take care of someone and already knows what to do without having to make critical decisions.
• HISTORY sheepcloud has had a relatively peaceful life, born to a tom named curlfreeze and a molly named greymask. her parents were pretty easy on her and her brother, ivypelt. they were older, retiring to the elder's den shortly after the two became apprentices, and unfortunately passed away due to an illness combined with their older age. sheepcloud and ivypelt grew distant after becoming warriors, being polite to each other when they'd bump into each other in camp but not really talking otherwise. sheepcloud knew from an early age that she wanted to be a caretaker, while her brother took the path of a warrior. a warrior's life was never one for sheepcloud, she was far too gentle for that. she enjoyed being around kits much more and happily learned how to take care of them and tend to pregnant and nursing queens. it suited her much better. she's been happy so far but would like to find someone to settle down with and have a family of her own eventually.

⭒description: frostbite's fur is exactly as it appears; short, and smooth. this dilute grey-and-white calico is rather intimidating for a medicine cat; she is slightly larger than most she-cats, which she inherited from her mother, and sports intimidating amber eyes. she has a distinct scar across the left side of her chest that just connects to her shoulder, on that side you can detect a slight limp to her movement.

⭒personality: frostbite's personality is less intimidating and comes across more as a stern mother. she is patient, but has no hesitation with making sure her clanmates sit still for inspections and listen to her when she asks to apply a poultice to a wound; knowing some cats like to appear tougher than they are when she knows a tiny scratch can be just as deadly as a rat bite. although her voice can seem demanding and rude, once she's at work her paws are gentle and her voice is soft. she isn't the type to hesitate to run into the heat of battle to help an injured clanmate even if they are considered a 'lost cause'. her kindness does exceed outside of the clan, and if she were to hypothetically come across an injured loner, different clan, or kittypet she isn't sure she could ignore that. she is a strong believer in the warrior code and starclan, and could never see herself going against either one, this can cause her to throw a judgemental eye on those that go against the code or don't believe that starclan exists. regardless, frostbite never lets her feelings get in the way of her duties. and despite frostbite's name, she is more all bark with no bite.

⭒backstory: frostbite was the offspring of two rather old warriors; snowstep and creektail, she and her brother shadowkit and oldest sister birchkit were the only surviving kits of a five-kit litter. frostbite started off a warrior apprentice alongside her siblings. her parents had rather high expectations of them and expected them to do good by the clan, claiming it's their duty due to having a very strong warrior bloodline that needs to continue, hence frostbite's size. uncomfortable by the expectations because she always found discomfort in the thought of hurting another cat, she was hesitant about her future and stressed. frostbite didn't fear hissing a few words at a cat, or threatening swipes, but the thought of an actual fight of claw and fur made her upset. she would often visit the clans medicine cat to see what they are doing, and offer to help. she was able to appear like a promising warrior with intense words, and putting her all into training. her brother, now shadowpaw, found himself dissastisfied with clanlife and left to become a kittypet after secretly cozying up with a twoleg. this caused quite a stir with her family, and stronger expectations on her and her sister. when they became official warriors, frostbite and her sister, now birchtooth, were put on a border patrol. the two would then get ambushed by a trio of unknown cats, knowing she had to put her training to the test she attempted to fight. her sister didn't hesitate once and put all her effort into it, unfortunately frostbite did not have that confidence. although she did put up a fight, she was holding back and the invader was hurting her far more than she could bring herself to hurt the cat. After a yowl, the cats left and her sister was dead. She would then carry a heavy guilt, knowing she could've saved her if she didn't hold back. The clan recognizing she wasn't fit to fight, had her reassigned to a medicine cat apprentice where she would have to relearn everything. Her parents eventually succumed to their own fate, although disappointed they were glad she was still of some use as a medicine cat. Frostbite would prove to be a very good medicine cat, excelling greatly at her duties.

ashbrook is a lean tom, with a light gray tabby coat.
he has bright green eyes and a torn left ear. he has
smaller, but still noticeable, scars on his cheek and
the side of his neck.
indentashbrook is a calm cat, and you might be able
to tell at a first glance. he doesn't like to get involv
ed, and his emotions are a bit caged off to most. w
hile he does show affection, he's rather distant. the
tom isn't a fan of change, and like many others is pa
nicking about the current situation, although not ve
ry visibly. he was a proud, arrogant, and competitive
tom, and he still holds those traits, albeit very water
ed down. he's willing to dedicate his life to his kits o
r the cats he loves, atleast.
indentborn and raised in the clan, ashbrook's parent's
never had very high expectations for the tom or his si
blings. however, a kit aged ashbrook was willing to pro
ve them wrong. he worked very hard as an apprentice,
and became a warrior at the usual age of twelve moon
s. at fifteen moons old, ashbrook fell for a she-cat. sh
e was a few moons older than him, but they got along
well. well enough that, after a few short moons, she w
as expecting ashbrook's kits. their relationship sort of
crumbled after the kits were born. the queen mainly
left the kits to be taken care of by caretakers or ash
brook, who consistently visited only to find the care
takers and his kits. his mate left the nursery one day
and didn't return the next, leaving him and their kits.

coat. her fur is surprisingly soft.
indenta kind, motherly she-cat, foxskip is a good fit for a caretaker. she's always been lov
ing and confident. she tends to be a bit overprotective and gentle with cats younger than
her. as an apprentice, she was very impulsive, and almost took the route of a warrior bef
ore deciding she preferred caring rather than fighting and hunting. foxskip is easy enough
to get along with and not very intimidating, although she can be a bit persistent and extre
me with certain things, but those usually don't interfere with her caretaking. she has a lot
of energy that she tends to not get out due to the calm face she puts up. of course, she w
ants her own kits eventually but feels too young to get or search for a mate. with other ca
ts her age she's similar, just a bit more energetic and playful. more deep down, she's not v
ery sure of her abilities.

mother was rarely around after the kits were weaned. she was pretty much raised by her
the caretakers, though her father did help. she grew very close to her sister as apprentice
s, and garnered a few good friends as well. she became a caretaker instead of a warrior.

lynxpaw is a large, regal tom, especially for his age. he has a thick, fluffy whi
te coat. his eyes are a nice hazel. he has a scar on his nose that he got fr
om being reckless.
indenta reckless, impulsive tom, lynxpaw doesn't seem to be scared of much.
especially when it comes to authority. he tends to do his own thing or get side
tracked while doing things he's been assigned. he's also rather humble, and loo
ks at cats for their humor or kindness, which he values. lynxpaw is full of energ
y that he gets out rather easily. he loves to fight and hunt, though you usually o
nly find him doing it when he has to, and that's when he really has to. the tom d
oesn't have much of a limit besides not hurting another cat physically. he thinks
in the present and tends not to look past that. to him, whatever happens, happe
ns, and he just so happened to get in trouble. he's a harder cat to handle, and de
finitely has some things to learn to fit in as much as he can.
indentborn and raised in the clan, lynxpaw's parents didn't fully care about w
hat he got into, and they sure don't now. he has a few older and younger siblings.
