fathompaw isn't shy, but he's certainly not outgoing; not rude, but not particularly friendly, either. he is
standoffish, aloof, and doesn't particularly care about other cats or their business, but he keeps a polite,
although curt, demeanor with most everyone. while not very interested in his peers, fathompaw tends
to enjoy hanging out with older cats, who are often put-off by his maturity and calm persona. he's
thoughtful and poetic at times, but generally comes off as unremarkable and grumpy due to his lack of
a willingness to socialize or partake in banter or games. intelligent and strategic, fathompaw is one to
thoroughly assess a situation, and with his head firm on his shoulders, he is more likely to be able to see
past emotions than other cats. there are very few things that truly frighten him, often unperturbed by
issues or dilemmas that make his clanmates wide-eyed and trembling. he is, of course, not emotionless,
but rather enjoys upholding his air of mystery and intrigue while having impressive control over himself.

fathompaw was an unexpected arrival for his parents, who didn't plan on having more kits after raising
scarletsun and blackfreeze, fathompaw's older sisters. his parents cared for him, of course, but they
didn't particularly monitor his activities; thus, it was rather common for a patrol to escort him home
when he snuck out of the nursery to explore. left to his own devices, and largely invisible to his clan,
fathompaw spent most of his kithood in his own head, observing both everything around him and
everything within him. once he was apprenticed, he opened up a little, but for the most part he is
looking forward to the day he becomes a warrior and can be alone once again.

sweet and shy and perhaps a little bumbling, the biggest obstacle in emberpaw's life is
himself. skittish and plagued by anxiety, emberpaw tends to shut down and make mistakes
when others are pressuring him to do something, which only makes him feel worse about
himself. there's not a shred of pride or a mean bone in this tom's body, and he tends to be
naive and too trustful of others. on his own, he has more confidence in his abilities.

born to swansong, a she-cat that was clueless as a mother, though not for lack of trying,
and an unknown Tom, emberpaw didn't have the most solid foundation as a young kit. he had
an unnamed sister born in the same litter, but swansong's carelessness resulted in the sad
case of her being smothered by her mother's fur and she passed away two days after birth.
criticized by some in the clan for the accident, swansong instead became overbearing to
emberpaw, hardly letting him out of her sight or more than a few tail-lengths from her at
all times. his mother's anxieties and obsession over him left a strong impression, leaving
emberpaw skittish and uncertain of anything as he grew. when he was apprenticed, he was
terrified and bewildered by the sudden freedom from his mother's control, and he struggled
to adjust. try as he might to impress his mentor, emberpaw found himself unable to complete
even the most simple of tasks. his tendency to overthink everything when being watched by
warriors has resulted in a lot of criticism and bad feelings, and his training has been delayed
immensely, with younger apprentices earning their warrior names before emberpaw. he's not
upset by this, believing that he'll never be good enough for his name, but he'll keep trying.

━━ Pinepaw's got deep roots in VeilClan. Both of his parents are respect
-able warriors, and he's always had to try and live up to them. His build,
sturdier than most apprentices his age, also tends to make his clanmates
overestimate him. His whole life, he's lived with the feeling of being set
up for failure. So he remedies that by making himself as invisible as poss
-ible. If he stays quiet and out of the way and doesn't put up a fight, no-
one will notice him and no one will expect anything from him. The only
time he breaks his self-imposed rules is when one of the few close friends
he has finds themselves in a spot of trouble; then, there is little he won't
do to get them out of said trouble.

He's a dark gray cat, almost black in some lights. He has bright green eyes that stand out starkly against his dark fur. Duskpaw is arrogant, and a troublemaker. He breaks the rules for the thrill of it. He's a flirt but just because he thinks it's fun. He's super inquisitive, and that's going to get him in trouble someday. He's constantly trying to convince all the other apprentices to go out on adventures with him, though he usually only successfully convinces his brother. Getting out of the trouble he lands himself in is also one of his best skills. All of the older cats are wrapped around his paw, since he plays up being a sad orphan. It helps that he's clearly going to make an exceptional warrior, and never slacks off on his actual duties. He's kind of stuck up and doesn't like being called immoral just because he has erratic tendencies. He has an excess of energy as well as insomnia, so he sleeps rarely. He keeps getting himself into tricky situations and coming out of it a little worse for wear. One of these days he's going to seriously hurt himself, but he has no self-preservation instinct.

⊰ ✧ ━ personality : cherrypaw is . . . quite the cheerful and optimistic young molly, always looking for the brighter things in life, and always telling others there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel, even if they can't see it yet. she is a very naive and gullible young molly who will believe anything other cats tell her, however if they tell her something absurd like cats can now fly, she would question them. she isn't afraid to ask if any cat needs help but can often forget instructions if too many are given to her at a time, however this does not stop her from being an incredibly determined young molly who just wants to make her clan proud. she's worked hard to learn defence tactics, so that she can fend for herself if anything were to happen in camp, or if she needed to protect herself or others, for this molly is not a very good fighter at all, she prefers to negotiate over fighting. however she does understand her duty to protect her clan. cherrypaw is also quite the daydreaming, and can often be found starting into the emerging stars at dusk, rather enjoying the still calmness that that time of night brings, hence what her warrior suffix will be.

many believed he should be dead, he even knows he should probably be wi
th the starry cats above, but for whatever reason they showed grace upon-
him. patchpaw is a quiet, thoughtful soul who sees the world in a different
perspective and it's not just because of his single eye. patchpaw was born-
sickly, underweight and frail, hardly hanging onto life. somehow, he mana-
ged to pull through, but not without some illnesses and scars to show for i
t of course. despite his quiet nature, patchpaw has quite the determined-
spirit, just as hard-working as the rest, if not more so. due to his polyarth
ritis, the tom experiences pain every now and then. it comes and goes, v-
arys from one another. he is not a whiner though, he'll push through the p
ain if he can without so much as a wince. while generally stubborn, patch
does know when to call it quits, but hates doing so in front of others. whi
le the words of others typically don't phase him, it's a clear sign that he i
sn't truly well and it makes him feel weak. in a way, he knows that he'll n
ever be as strong as the others, but it's not going to stop him from being-
