His hair is only just lighter than black, and his eyes are the colour of ebony. He has dimples on either cheek when he smiles.

━ attitude:
Jay is a fairly laid-back guy. He's quiet, soft-spoken, and doesn't often speak his opinion unless he feels the need to put it out there and get his point across. He's quite laid-back in terms of arguments and debates, often letting a lot slide, rather than taking offence and speaking out about it. He carries a calm vibe with him, presenting himself as the heavy anchor many desire; the one to talk one out of doing something wrong because of his relaxed behaviour. He's much of an introvert, preferring the company of only one of two over a large crowd. Despite this, Jay adores debates, and will go up in front of a room to voice what he feels he must without any hesitation if he knows he has the right amount of facts to do so. Some could consider him a nerd, a bookworm, for he likes doing work and reading, and would prefer having that in front of him instead of attending a typical teenage party. He gives in easily, however; it doesn't take much for an outgoing friend to drag him into something, even if he's totally against it.

He is a bit of a softie. Jay can be very defensive and tough when it comes to standing up to his friends and his loved ones, but once he accepts a romantic interest, he melts easily. Although this can be rather flattering to the other, it makes him a bit more vulnerable in tougher situations, such as surviving on an unknown planet. This can also make him stronger, though, for it pushes him to do better in terms of protecting. He could be considered to be the big brother of the group, minus the typical teasing. Jay is pretty logical, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's "strict." He simply doesn't like putting himself in those types of situations, the ones that involve pranks and jokes, but as long as they have nothing to do with him then he really couldn't care less about them.

━ history:
Jay never had any issues with his immediate family. It was his friends that got him into the situation he's currently in. He'd been friends with Victoria since as long as he could remember, although it wasn't until recently when he discovered he had romantic feelings for her. Ironically enough, before he had the chance to tell her, she began to date someone else. He was rude and inconsiderate of their friendship, tearing the two away. Jay became a shadow, and Victoria didn't see him as often as he would have liked. He knew Blake was a terrible person, but Victoria was so happy, and that was enough to make Jay happy. When he found out that Blake had released some of the Ark's oxygen, Jay knew he would be Floated, for he was eighteen. So, deciding he didn't want to see a heartbroken Victoria, Jay claimed he was the one that did it. He wasn't old enough to be Floated, and Blake was left off the hook. A few months later, however, Blake was caught (for reasons Jay never found out). Jay hadn't faced Victoria in quite some time and therefore didn't know what her reaction was. Now, they're together again, but Jay doesn't have the heart to confess... if only he knew she already knew.
