____𝕬𝖑𝖇𝖚𝖗𝖎 𝕬𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖙, age 25
was the heir to the Astamont throne. That was, of course, short-lived as they discovered at infancy, Alburi was born without sight. Sharp as a whip, Alburi made sure to always excel at everything he possibly could- he would never be a scholar from reading- no, but he did take much interest in learning all there was to know by having others read to him, sitting in quietly on meetings and strategy planning done by his father and other high councilmen. Alburi knew from history, he was going to one day take over. He tried his hardest not to allow his lack of sight to get in the way of his everyday life, he taught himself to listen, smell, taste, and feel things around him deeply enough so he could navigate on his own. Alburi even made sure he was capable of minimal combat, though he would never fair well with an expert, he knew he would be able to defend himself against an ordinary thug.
____Alburi was so excited when he learned he would have a sibling, someone to play and learn with, someone he could grow up with and trust to rule by his side. It was a bit of a shock when it turned out his sibling was a girl, he didn't know if they could advise the king, but he would allow it if he were king, and he would make sure everyone respected her as much as they respected him. When Alburi was about 12 years of age, it was broken to him, that he would not be heir to the throne any longer. It was uncommon for a family to pass up the firstborn, but the disability he had worked so hard to hide and overcome would never allow him to ascend into his birthright. This began the turn of the sweet, sensitive, and smart boy. Alburi was at first, quite upset with not only himself but his family too. It was already happening- they had begun to prepare Maajida the way they had begun with him- history lessons, etiquette, and even some work with a weapon. Alburi had been, for the most part, discarded by means of lessons and attention.
____The boy began to lash out. Finding frogs to put in her bed, or even sometimes her hair- tripping her in combat classes, never going easy on her for one second. Though he was blind, he was strong and he knew he would be since she was much younger and of less practice. Alburi slowly grew out of it though, by about age sixteen, he began to more so just correct her when she was wrong- which he secretly hoped drove her crazy. Luckily for him, his humor had evolved from putting slimy creatures in her bed to making small snarky jokes about what he could
see she was doing wrong. It was his way of lightening the mood, and it made it easier to tell when he was being serious about a correction. Alburi truly cares for her and he reminds her all the time, he
is only hard on her because he wants the best for her. ____Alburi promised himself as her advisor and mentor, out of familial duty, and his own personal duty to annoy her. Now, at age 25, Alburi has become much more refined as he remains a man with a title, his joked have become wittier, his body stronger and you would hardly know he was blind. Alburi finds it painful to discuss his disability with strangers but spending any time up close with him, would make it clear he didn't have sight, which in large part is why he spends most of his time with his sister.

Lady In Waiting - Caoimhe (kee-vah) - Alburi will be wary of her. He dislikes how observant she is, as he doesn't like others knowing he is blind right away, he feels they lose respect for him or treat him like an invalid. He is also concerned with her being a bad influence on Maajida, which he will consistently and persistently fight their friendship if he has to, though he admires her for her compassion and humor, something they could bond over.
Ravillard Heir - Leo - Admires him for his commitment to his duty, he is the kind of man Alburi wanted to be as king- well-read and a high value for honor. Leo makes him question his sexuality, as he can feel something there, but is too prideful to come out about his feelings without being validated first. Alburi is straight- as far as he knows but it's possible he is bisexual depending on how close he and leo get.

Sailor - Vaeron - Thinks of him as a scoundrel, but that's mostly because of the smell. Alburi also doesn't care for his crass nature or lack of education.
____𝖁𝖆𝖊𝖗𝖔𝖓 𝕬𝖉𝖔𝖗𝖓𝖔, some call him a pirate, a thug, a thief.... but to him, he's just an entrepreneur who's always thinking 10 steps ahead. Skilled with hunting and sailing, Vaeron, age 28 has always spent most of his life doing what he does best and making money off of it. Growing up, his mother was a poor beggar, and his father, a fae nowhere in sight. He had to start young by stealing from the street shops, he nearly lost a hand when he got caught. That was when he knew he needed to have a service or product to sell. So he shined shoes, and trapped rabbits, selling the furs and meat for coin so he could help take care of him and his mother. As he got older, he took up sailing, which eventually leads him to the greatest thrill of all, treasure!
____When his mother had passed on from a plague that swept their village, Vaeron began to use his money for more frivolous things, like treasure maps. Some of them had lead to empty sand bars, but most often, he wound up with more riches than he knew what to do with. This left him with fine clothes, jewels, the most beautiful women, weapons, and of course a full belly. It never ended, however, the hunt for the ultimate treasure, Vaeron looked the part of a high titled man, he did well for himself, but he wasn't truly happy, so he kept on the hunt for the greatest treasure.
____As a changeling, Vaeron has the ability to manipulate the tides, which comes in handy when sailing, the sailor waits for no moon to sway his direction. In limited amounts of time, the burly man can manipulate water. From pushing and pulling at the waves, to altering the physical state of small amounts of water.

Lady In Waiting - Caoimhe (Kee-vah) - Finds her wildly attractive and invigorating. Notices her free spirit right away and constantly pushes at her to abandon any ties she may have to be with him to sail the world. Vaeron is a womanizer, but there's something different about Caoimhe- something that he would trade any treasure for.
Ravillard Heir - Leo - Vaeron doesn't know how to read or write more than his name, for signing into taverns so while Vaerson respects Leo for his title and knowledge, he would find him difficult to stand for long, similar to any of the royals, in anticipation they do not and will never respect him. Would definitely encourage rum to help him relax and take a chill pill once in a while.
