weapons; excalibur - excalibur is a divine sword solely of the humans making, which is imbued and
empowered with the souls of the master swordsmen from all throughout britannia who have
wielded it in past millennia. as a result, the wielder of this sword is granted full knowledge and
use of all the different swordsmanship styles used by the previous owners.
powers / abilities; arthur has a high degree of strength in his youth as shown by being able to pull the
sword excalibur from its stone with ease. while arthur himself does not know the limits of his own
power, it is said that holding and using the legendary sword allows him to access its full potential.
when wielding excalibur, arthur is empowered by the souls of all the master swordsmen who
previously wielded the holy sword, and as a result he possesses full knowledge of different
swordsmanship styles from the previous wielders of excalibur and can use them with masterful ease.
arthur also gains a massive increase in speed and strength when wielding the sword. he also is said
to have a lack of presence which allows him to sneak up on demons and kill them without ever being
caught

personality; arthur is a polite young man that is still adjusting to fitting to his role as king. he is quite
serious and takes his responsibilities seriously. he always feels that he must think of his people and keep
them safe in whatever ways he can. that is why he fights on the front lines believing that it is the best
way he can assure their safety. he does not mind risking his own life though he understand that as a
king he must sometimes think of his own life because without him his people would be left defenseless.
nevertheless, arthur albeit serious tends to wear a smile on his face and has a happy-go-lucky demeanor.
despite this, it would be wrong to consider him as immature or oblivious. he is quite aware of things that
are happening around him and tends to try ignore them unless they do become a major problem and needs
to be taken care of. it is also noted that arthur is quite forgiving and even is willing to forgive those that
were once against him. this attests to his kindhearted nature. such an act could be dangerous to him, but
he thinks that people should be given second chances and that they can change given time. arthur is also a
respectful king and is willing to listen to other people's opinions. overall, he is a young king still learning his
way as a ruler but is still kind and protective of his kingdom.

other; arthur has a pet cat named named cath that travels with him at all times. it is said that with him
around arthur is unable to die, but nothing is proven and it remains a rumor. cath can also speak, but is
mostly silent. he does make snide remarks from time to time, especially towards arthur.

Personality: unlike his uptight father, the god of the underworld, zagreus is laid-back and was never fond of work. he aggressively opposes his father at every chance he gets, being stubborn and determined to escape the underworld and being fully willing to kill his father as many times as it takes. he is surprisingly optimistic and still retains a sense of humour, often cracking jokes at his own failures as well as to criticise his opponents. his patient can run thin, though, making him irritable and aggressive to those who annoy him to that point. being incredibly tolerant considering his multiple failures, he is a kind prince and dislikes the thought of earning a negative reputation, he checks on those around him and often gives gifs to both family, friends and pets. perhaps a little immature just to vex his father, zagreus is incredibly knowledgeable on greek mythology, expressing adoration for certain figures such as achilles, hercules and asterius. he dislikes those who are egotistical but never really takes insults to heart.

History: zagreus' life would never be permitted by the fates, as a result he was stillborn, this drove is mother, persephone, to flee the underworld and return to the surface where hades would not be able to contact her again. nyx, otherwise known as mother night, used her powers to give life to the stillborn zagreus and raise him as her own. for many years he believed hades to be his father and nyx to be his mother until he learned of persephone's existence. with that knowledge he fought to escape the so-called inescapable underworld with the help of olympian gods that had been contacted by nyx - they believe zagreus to be fighting so he can be reunited with them. each of zagreus' failures ends the same, being killed by some force of the underworld and being returned to the house of hades only to set out and try to escape again, never being deterred by his multiple deaths. zagreus has always had a sense that he doesn't belong in the house of hades; recently, he has decided, against his father's will, to escape from the underworld no matter how many tries it might take him. he is aided and encouraged in his journey primarily by his caretaker nyx and his mentor achilles. others outside the house of hades, such as sisyphus, charon, and the olympians sometimes offer their aid too. zagreus is met with numerous obstacles throughout the realms of tartarus, asphodel, elysium and the temple of styx. he is mostly faced with various aggressive shades working for his father, but he also has run-ins with the furies (megaera, tisiphone and alecto) and the skeletal remains of the lernean hydra. he also has to confront the champion of elysium, theseus, and his friend, asterius, in order to arrive at the temple of styx. these battles, combined with the dangerous landscape of the underworld, serve to bring a painful end to zagreus' escape attempts sooner or later.

Powers & Weapons: zagreus can summon a variety of weapons of greek legend, only able to use one at a time and only at their base strength. these weapons consist of the stygius [sword], coronacht [bow], aegis [shield] and exagryph [adamant rail]. zagreus is flame-resistant and leaves trails of flames where he steps as well as embers flying from his head. he is a skilled combatant and is capable of dashing at high speeds and floating about a foot off of the ground. as he cannot contact the gods here so no boons are available to him, thus leaving him at base strength. despite his being a god [thought he argues that he isn't the god of anything], zagreus can be killed just as easily as any other, his death, of course, returning him to the underworld.

Other: his feet are perpetually aflame and he leaves burning footprints where he walks.
