She does! While Midnight has her own reasons for being interested in Akari's quirk (She's a little too sultry to be the motherly type, so I imagine her more as like an eccentric aunt) I actually find it pretty interesting. It's a bit reminiscent of Nighteye's quirk, but instead, it looks back into the past. It feels difficult to utilize in combat (as not everyone has a super depressing backstory, some are just ordinary) but there's plenty of other uses for it in the hero field.
That said, Midnight definitely sympathizes with Akari, as a lot of people who join the hero course think that if their quirk isn't combat-oriented, they're doomed to fail, which isn't the case. With the way I'm choosing to play Midnight, one of her main focal points of teaching is that rules were made to be bent, and it's hard to give a definitive "I am right and you are wrong" with a lot of problems.
ok I kinda ran away a little bit with that but she and Midnight could have a whole moment over this--
There are a few questions I have about the quirk, cuz I am planning to have her use it on Hit after the combat course is finished.
Sakura's quirk is just in a really weird... ethical grey area, I'd say is the best way of putting it. It's a perfectly valid quirk, but whether it should be used on people for training, or even animals, is a big discussion the world really doesn't want to have. The same can apply for Shimo's quirk, which definitely leads to some creativity on my part lmao
