· muse a is a fine arts major that, during a class excursion to a museum, falls head over heels for a [sculpture, figure in a painting, etc.]. their infatuation becomes borderline obsessive, said figure beginning to bleed into their own work without them recognizing the influence until the pieces are completed. enter muse b into their class at the turn of a new semester; they look identical to their object of captivation. how will they handle their love suddenly appearing before their eyes, in the flesh?

· slightly inspired by bts' blood sweat & tears lol. potentially darker take on soulmates, pigmented by obsession rather than genuine love - at least in the beginning. i was toying with the idea of muse b truly being the person depicted (a vampire, demon, powerful sorcerer, or simply immortal in order to have been around at the time of its conception? idk) but i'm not sure how committed i am to that tidbit lmao... though the idea of them being a demon sent down to tempt muse a, only visible in said artwork to them and no one else [in their class or otherwise], is also an idea.

ABOUT ME


yo, you can call me either cyril, or vyvyan (they/them, you can potentially use either he or she if you ask first). i'm an adult with a full-time job and a quite hectic life, so i'm not over the top active and can take a while to write proper RP replies, so if you're looking for rapid fire responses, that's not me. i've been roleplaying for well over a decade now and consider myself to be on an advanced literate level; i usually write at least 300 words per character and reply, but prefer ranges from 500 to 2,500 words for my own responses because of my love for writing and preference to build immersive scenes with detail. due to this, i usually only do one main character for each RP, but can naturally handle several side characters and NPCs as needed. i write in third person & past tense. my preference for replies is either via toyhouse (worlds, forums, DMs; can give you an invite code for an account!) or through CS PMs or threads - i do not roleplay via messengers such as discord, the character limits are hella restrictive and annoy me. i can code and tend to make my posts neat and tidy, but don't like wasting too much time on it anymore.

i honestly stick to LGBTQ+ pairings and most of my characters reflect that, but MxF pairings may not be entirely off the table - it depends on the plot and characters, so if MxF is the only thing you do, we can discuss that for sure.

i'm honestly not overly picky with my partners. all i ask of you is to be able/willing to do longer replies of at least 300 words (i'm always welcoming of people looking to get into more literate RP for the first time, i'm not one of the elitist advanced lit roleplayer snobs), to write in third person & past tense, and to be a decent human being with patience when it comes to how quickly i manage to respond to our RP. i do prefer writing with fellow adults since i'm on the older side and more comfortable writing with people closer to my age range, but it's not a hard requirement. also, please be willing to plot and talk about the RP. it helps keep my interest up and i don't like feeling like i have to carry the entire RP on my own. mirroring posts is not a requirement, just don't drop down to like,,, a few short lines in response to a multi-paragraph response, it gives me little to work with and drains my enthusiasm fast

- [fantasy/d&d] nephrakir [toyhouse profile] 25 years, tiefling, warlock of the fiend. cis man (he/him), grey-homoromantic homosexual. standing at a heigh of 5'7'' and possessing the slender build of one who favours charm and wit over anything else, nephrakir may not be what most would call a particularly imposing person even with his clear infernal heritage. mo, more often than not it's not necessarily the physical that deeply unsettles those around him, but what hides behind that pretty face. there is just something that feels off about him; an inherent darkness that awakens a sense of unease and danger in most. a man of superficial charm, nephrakir knows how to mask that darkness well, though those who allow themselves to be lulled into a false sense of security around him often come to regret it sooner or later. born into and raised by a cult of mephistopheles for a little more than one and a half decades, that darkness was nurtured too much to be shaken, and he has learned to embrace it. once desperate to escape his past and build a new life and identity for himself, nephrakir now has a sense of pride in who he is - including the darkness.

- [fantasy/d&d] kazire [toyhouse profile] 23 years, tiefling, warlock of the fiend. trans male (he/him), panromantic/sexual. at first glance, kazire seems sweet... too sweet, even. often underestimated and deemed harmless based on his appearance (a light body build and standing at a mere 5'2'' certainly doesn't help), he easily manages to pull people onto his side and gain their trust. add his habit of being a soft-spoken and ever-smiling optimist, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of a man who is secretly as manipulative and ruthless as can be, though to him feigning naivety and then striking like a viper seems to be a game he enjoys playing. born into the same cult of mephistopheles as nephrakir, kaizire is the one that never got away. as such, he is fiercely loyal to the group he was raised in, never once hesitating to carry out the orders he receives - especially when it comes to those of his patron. it was but a year after nephrakir had fled from the cult's clutches that mephistopheles sought out kaizire, the boy who had once been the closest thing to a "friend" nephrakir had had, and tasked him with setting out to bring back the unruly runaway for unknown (but most certainly unpleasant) reasons. in return, kaizire received his "blessing" to aid him on his journey.

- [fantasy/d&d] scilla/vesper [toyhouse profile] 331 years (early 20's), night elf, class not yet settled, but definitely something magic-based. gender non-comforming DMAB, (they/he/she), panromantic demisexual. scilla is a newer baby of mine and still relatively undeveloped. he is incredibly social and open-minded. more often than not, vesper walks through life guided by their inborn curiosity and near childlike awe at everything around him. his extremely sheltered upbringing among his own kind, however, clearly shows; seemingly forever confused by the strange rules and societal norms/expectations of regular civilization, they often end up in... interesting predicaments due to not knowing any better. it doesn't help that scilla has maintained a level of naivety that seems impossible for someone their age to possess as well; he's not stupid and learns quickly, but at the same time he's certainly a bit too trusting of others. ever the idealistic optimist, however, even the bad experiences are welcomed by them as valuable lessons to learn from and bring back home. vesper's energetic, generally upbeat, yet fun-loving nature is often a welcome addition to any of their companions

GANG/MAFIA/SLICE OF LIFE

· muse a is a florist that has recently inherited their [grandparent, parent]'s flower shop due to them having fallen ill, and because of the sudden responsibilities dropped onto their shoulders, they begin the hunt to hire an extra hand. muse b is the extremely unassuming child of a gang leader, currently on the run from their 'family' due to a lack of want to... be a criminal, really. enter muse b into muse a's shop, professing their interest in the job (and them being the only one to do so). with muse a being as desperate as they are to fill the position, what are they going to do? turn them down?

· so a happy-go-lucky ray of sunshine is the child of a gang leader and a burnt-out, far too overworked florist happens to garner their attention (and provide them with somewhere to take refuge while they hide from prying mafia eyes). i'm thinking it'd be all fun and games until muse b has to fess up to their true origin story when Dangerous People:tm: begin to frequent the area. i have a preference for muse b for this one!! w/a slight mxm lean.
