personality

Compassionate ~ Wells cares deeply about all beings. He is troubled by the suffering in the galaxy, and wants to do everything he can to help those in need. He goes out of his way to help others, often putting his own task aside to help a friend or stranger with theirs.

Determined ~ When Wells sets his mind to a task, he will go to almost any length to complete it. He doesn't give up easily, something that is useful in times where a task is difficult, but this can also translate to stubbornness and not knowing when to give up and move on.

Curious ~ Wells loves learning, whether it be about planets far away or the behavior of a specific species of Loth cat or the way a speeder is built. When he isn't training or out on a mission, he can often be found reading about any and all subjects. He particularly likes to get up early, before the sun and other Jedi have risen, and read or meditate in quiet corners of gardens.

history

Wells was a child lucky enough to be identified by the Jedi and brought to the temple at a young age, just like old times. There, he grew up surrounded by the Force and those skilled in its usage, and he had the upbringing of an average youngling. When the time came, he participated in the Initiate Trials, and was selected as a padawan at the age of 12. His master was a human female by the name of [name here].

Three years into his apprenticeship, Wells and his master found themselves facing a Sith. They fought well, but a slight misstep caused his master to falter for half a second, long enough for the Sith to kill her. Then, the Sith struck Wells in the face with Force Lightning. The lightning caused permanent scarring to his face and eyes, leaving him blind. The last thing he saw was his master's death. The Sith let him live, laughing that he would have a life of misery.

Wells was rescued and brought back to the temple, where he began the long healing process. He learned how to tune his other senses and tap more deeply into the Force. Now, a year later, he can navigate just as well as he could when he had his eyesight. However, he still has not been reassigned to a new master yet.

Style ~ After losing his eyesight, Wells found traditional Jedi robes to be too much of a hassle. So, he obtained a set of custom robes. These have altered sleeves, so that he doesn't drag the classic flowing ends through food or starship oil, as well as short tabbards that tuck into his belt. The tunic itself is also short, tucking into the belt, so that it doesn't snag on anything.

Grey ~ Tau fights for good, but her methods can be in the grey area. Furthermore, she believes the Force itself to be grey, not Light and Dark as the Jedi and Sith believe. How can energy be light and dark, good and evil? It cannot. She believes that it is not the supposed "dark side" of the Force that corrupts its victims, but instead the person's own inner darkness, drawn out by promises of power. Because of this, she often disagreed with the Jedi Council and its teachings, and she trained her own padawan not to suppress his feelings, but to experience, acknowledge, and release them in a healthier manner.

Fearless ~ The Feeorin are a strong, sturdy folk, not easily bested in combat. Therefore, Tau has a lot of confidence in her own strength. This can be useful in that fear doesn't hold her back, but it is also a hinderance in that she sometimes puts herself in unnecessary danger simply because "I can take it."

Bold ~ The aggressive nature of her species has been channeled instead into boldness and confidence. Tau does what needs to be done and takes risks.

history

The Feeorin are an aggressive and volatile species, beings that are not at the top of the list when one thinks about who would make a good Jedi. If one were to be born Force-sensitive, it would be easy to assume that they would become a Sith. Perhaps Tau would have, if fate didn't have other plans. She was kidnapped as a toddler and sold to a fight ring, the owners of which intended to raise her as a prize fighter. Unlike other species, Feeorin grow stronger as they age, up until the day they day, and their aggressive nature makes them natural fighters. Having one would surely guarantee wins, which would guarantee profits. A young Jedi by the name of Deyo Veer happened upon this fight ring when on a mission in the outer rim. Upon seeing the child, and sensing her connection to the Force, Deyo hassled the owners to give her over to him.

From there, he brought her back to the Jedi Temple. The Council was hesitant, knowing of the volatile nature of Feeorins, but Deyo insisted that every child deserves a chance, and that perhaps with the right upbringing she wouldn't turn to the Dark Side. The Council relented, and Tau was trained like any other youngling. She was temperamental and aggressive, and there were several times when the Creche Masters believed she would have to be expelled. But Deyo was patient, and he took it upon himself to help train the girl, even as a small child. He would come visit the Creche, teaching her and calming her, giving her the attention the Creche Masters didn't have time to give to one student. When she was old enough to be taken as a Padawan Learner, it was no surprise that Deyo was the one to invite her to train under him.

Under his tutelage, Tau learned how to manage her aggression and channel it into more productive avenues. Deyo taught her not to suppress or fear her emotions, but to experience and acknowledge them. "Anger is a secondary emotion," he told her, "find what is at its root, and then you will be able to act productively."

Tau was knighted at the age of 25, and the Council was admittedly impressed by her progress. She still was not the 'model' Jedi, but she was highly skilled and she was committed to doing good in the galaxy. She went on to train a padawan of her own, a 'problem' child just like she had been, and he too turned into a skilled Knight.

Order 66 came about when she was around 150. She survived in a way the Jedi would not have approved of - she killed her clone troopers before they could kill her. From there, she disappeared, a myth in the galaxy, until it came time for a new Jedi Order. Though she has no real interest in the governing of the Order, and thus does not sit on the Council, she has become a sort of advisor to them in a way, since she is one of few, if any, Jedi who were alive long before the old Order fell.

Name ~ Though the name "Tau" has no particular meaning to the Feeorin people, a youngling once told her that the name meant 'lion' in his language. Intrigued and liking the translation, Tau sometimes uses feline symbolism, such as war paint of a lion's claw marks or a roaring lions head stamped on a shoulder plate.

Jangar has deep hazel colored eyes and brown hair with the ends bleached. His skin is fairly tanned from his time spent training outside. He is hardly ever seen without his armor, the typical Mandalorian armor a dark, blue-grey color, framed by white paint. He has a DE-10 blaster pistol holstered to his left leg and a beskad on his back. He is left handed.

Jangar has always been hot-headed and ready to jump feet first into action, often causing trouble for those around him. He never really thinks before he acts unless told to directly do so. He is filled with determination to become the strongest there is in the galaxy, and he takes defeat very hard. Despite what most might think, he actually learns from his failures, and tries to find ways to improve himself so it doesn't happen again. Jangar can easily be angered, and it bugs him to stars end that he is barely known. He is working hard to get his name out there, and is often doing his best to repress his frustration to help him. He can actually be somewhat funny when he isn't upset, and is a loyal friend, though it's hard to get him to stop training long enough to talk to him. He believes in fighting alongside the soldiers of the Hunter's Ministry.

History

Born to Saeth and Keelu Vizsla, Jangar always seemed to know who he was and what he was meant to do. His family has always been rather proud of their history and where they came from, and Jangar was no different. While his parents were out performing their duties, Jangar would spend his days mock fighting any chairs or old droids he could find. He would get into a lot of mischief as well, much to his parents dismay. He was what most adults called a problem child or a headache. Even as he grew up he was infamously known by those who had lived around him. When he reached 14, his father finally relented to Jangar's demands and started to train him on how to use a blaster. As he learned more about the world and combat he started to calm down and cause less trouble (though he still liked to cause mayhem every once in a while). When Ruxi Ordo had become Mandalore he was filled with admiration towards the Rattataki, and it filled him with a fierce determination. Jangar started to train by himself more often, and often attempted to make his own weapons. He would sneak one of his father's older blasters out of the house and take it apart, then try to put it back together again. It took him quite a few years to finally understand, and a few lousy excuses as to how he got pieces of shrapnel stuck in his arm. Despite his troublesome reputation he actually isn't well known, a small detail that never fails to irk him.
