hello all!
Thank you so much for joining! Everyone's forms are looking great ^^
There was a request for a recent reservation that's caused a few changes. The eldest Astamont sibling is now male. He is not a changeling and I've rewritten the descriptions between a child of prophecy and a changeling and added a male/female description to characters on the front page. I've also switched the gender of the healer so they are female now. Luckily this change doesn't affect anyone or their characters too much!

Born heir to the Astamont throne, Rhys was supposed to be primed to take on the role. He had show high levels of intelligence at a young age and many had high hopes for his future. It wasn't long before the royal family noticed that the child's skills declined, along with a a blue-ish haze taint his eyes. He was diagnosed blind soon after. All hopes for his future dissipated, leaving behind a cripple of a child. The Astamont's had another child soon after and declared her the new heir which left Rhys hurt and ashamed. A feeling of resentment dwelled within Rhys for many years of his life, directed at his sister for taking the role that should have been his. As time went on he realized there was no point in hating what could not be changed so he learned to accept the world for what it is. Though he now loves his sister dearly and would always support her, the jealousy has, and would never, fully disappear.
One could only cry so many tears so, pushing aside his feelings, Rhys began to work on bettering himself in any way possible. He has learned to rely on what senses he has left to live life. The boy retained his intelligence through life, continuously learning many skills as well as subjects. Though learning and participating in combat seemed impossible to the sightless boy, he managed to learn the basics of a few different weapons along with hand-to-hand combat which he was found to do better at; no need to worry about wounding himself with a weapon if he only had his body to worry about. Despite all the things he has learned, a sense of dissatisfaction and unfulfillment linger.

Physcial Description: Erec is a solidly build 6' 2" man. He has raven black hair and very dark blue eyes that tend to be mistaken for black or very dark gray. He carries himself like the warrior he is in most situations, but when he is in private or by himself his whole posture changes and becomes softer and more relaxed. He has scars covering his body from intense training and an especially gnarly one on his right shoulder blade. He has the word "strength" tattooed under his right arm.
Personality: On the outside Erec is everything he should be; a stoic and honorable warrior perfect in every way. But within Erec struggles with his identity and emotions. Trained to always withhold his feeling and that showing emotion meant weakness, he doesn't know how to deal with the things he feels. Causing him to bottle things up until it overflows. Erec puts the wellbeing of others above his own and unless it puts more people in danger will concede in disagreements. He hides the fact that he likes things that are soft and natural (i.e. making flower crowns, gardening, singing). He tends to push himself to the brink taking on everyone else's burdens and will blame himself for things that aren't under his control. He constantly doubts himself. The only way he knows how to deal with his emotions is by lashing out and training harder. If it wasn't for his friendship with Nevar he probably would've cracked already. When Erec isn't busy getting in his own way he is a clearheaded and confident leader who wants to make sure that no one is abandoned or left behind.

History: Erec is the eldest living son of the Vemoux family. He had an older half-brother who was the pride and joy of the Wellsprings until he died when Erec was five. Ever since Erec has trained hard to live up to his brother's legacy but has always been left feeling slightly less because he can't seem to live up to his late saint of a brother. In weaker moments he curses his brother for dying as he would be a much better second son, rather than an heir. Despite all of this Erec does actually like being a knight, he loves the flow of combat, the strategy, and the in the moment adrenaline that comes with it. He had a tendency to take on the weight of the world and if it wasn't for Nevar he would just bury himself under the pressure. After his father attempted to arrange a marriage for him a few months ago, Erec has been starting to think about what he wants for himself and his future instead of just being the perfect heir and son his father wants him to be. Especially with the growing feeling that he does not belong.

Combat: While Erec has basic training in most hand to hand and weapon styles per his family's standards, his personal preference is in sword fighting. He also enjoys archery and knife throwing, but long-range combat isn't something that he tends to participate in. He carries a sword and a knife on him at all times, and when traveling or on a mission, he has a spear that is his primary weapon.

thalia highsword: From what he's heard Thalia is quite the woman, brilliant and kind. A good leader, he would like to get to know her better.

brandan black: Erec is cautious about Brandan, knowing pirates tend to have dubious morals. But he is curious as to how the pirate lives.

history/personality Born to a fae mother, Nevar was left in the mortal realm and was adopted by the family she grew up with. She was a commoner and lived a life normal to her social class, until the day she learned she had magic; after that, her life was never quite the same. Nevar could see things her family and friends couldn't, she was able to use magic and heal people and sometimes even plants. She is able to extend her aura and energy into her surroundings and share the ability to accelerate the healing process. When she was fourteen years old, Nevar was summoned by the Vemoux family for her healing powers. She joined the household staff as the healer, an important role in a family that trains soldiers of such a high calibre. The experience that position offered her was invaluable. Nevar learned how to effectively treat different injuries instead of just forcing her power to fix the problem. Bruises and lacerations take less energy and are faster to heal than broken bones that need more time with a lower, more constant stream of magic. Poisons could range anywhere between minor effort and heavily involved processes. Of course, it wasn't only knowledge and experience that she gained. Nevar also got to know many people through her position, and even grew to be fast friends with the Vemoux heir, Erec. Their friendship has become one of honesty and support, Nevar being more than someone to heal his cuts and bruises. She views him as something almost like a brother, a person she looks up to as a role model and will do her best to protect.Nevar has spoken with people on their death beds, she has brought some soldiers back from the brink of death, and even witnessed families grieving for someone who just passed. Her job is taxing, both mentally and emotionally, but also on her own physical body. If she uses her power too much in a short window of time, the young girl is hardly able to move. Her body basically shuts down everything but the primary functions to recover. Over the years, Nevar's endurance has increased and she is more skilled than before, but that is more due to her knowing her limits and not pushing beyond what she is capable of. This knowledge comes with what some might call an abrupt bedside manner. However, that is just her personality coming through. Nevar is very clear with anyone she speaks with- she will (bluntly) provide her own advice as to whether an action is recommended or not. She has even gone so far as to tell someone that their idea is dumb and that she won't heal them if they go through with it. This is not to say she lacks empathy. The healer is very familiar with the pain people suffer when they get injured, or they lose a loved one. She views it as her mission to prevent that pain, rather than to simply treat it. If pain, suffering, and grief can be avoided, then her focus can be directed towards those who truly need her help.


Physical appearance Often considered short, Nevar reaches most people's shoulders. Her height has never been much of a concern to her, however, since injured people typically lie down or fall over. She has light blond hair and green eyes that speak volumes, even when she keeps her mouth shut. While working, she is mostly seen wearing the standard healer's gown and apron, sometimes a mask and gloves accompany her outfit. On her days off and in her free time, Nevar prefers trousers with pockets as well as thicker shirt with long sleeves. Both in and out of her uniform, she normally ties her hair back in someway or another.
