"Alright then." He nodded before trotting off farther into the park. Cars buzzed beside them, making Blackmist's fur stand up on end. The day seemed to be ordinary, except for the decent weather. He glanced behind him to check if Meadowspirit was close behind. After the sun had fully risen, they had caught two squirrels and a mouse. Blackmist went to ask Meadowspirit if they should head back when a unfamiliar scent hit his nose. "Do you smell that?" He asked, not waiting for an answer as he ran towards the smell. Blood? Why is there a trail of blood? He asked himself, quickly following the trail. Curled up into a ball was- "Featherpelt? Is that you?!" He called in anguish. "But that can't be....." He muttered to himself.
