he hates being seen as weak or sickly, & tends to get very short if anyone brings it up or teases him about it; luckily,
his big sister hollybranch stands up for him a lot, so most cats know not to pick on him nowadays or they'll face her
wrath. he truly looks up to his sister & loves her more than anything; he wishes often that he could be more like her,
instead of just sort of allowing others to walk all over him like a doormat. but he doesnt know how to really stand up
for himself or make his opinions known unless directly asked. he is very non-confrontational & will avoid fighting at
all costs if he can.

mistpaw was born weak, period. he was a tiny little thing who showed signs of serious illness from the moment he came
into the world. unlike his strong & confident older sister, he spent the first 2 moons of life in the medicine cats den
fighting this mystery that kept him from being a normal kit. constantly experiencing fatigue, dizziness, shortness of
breath, & heart palpitations, to this day they couldnt figure out what was wrong with him (anemia), but with the
proper dosage of a mixture of herbs at least once a week, he is able to live his life as a relatively normal cat of the
clan. it was decided for him when he reached 6 moons that wasn't physically strong enough to be a regular warrior,
and so he was given to the clan's medicine cat as an apprentice. although he hated that this choice was made for him
when he was younger, as the moons have gone by, he has grown to love his path in life, finding himself filled with
joy when he helps another cat.

this molly was given the prefix 'holly' for her sharp claws ability to draw blood, & the suffix 'branch' for the stretching
impact her words seem to have when others listen. she has excellent control of her temper, w/ quick-thinking that
allows her to respond within moments to a situation. she can run through countless outcomes/strategies in her head,
& when she makes up her mind, she is completely sure that her decision is the correct one. she is also known for her
speed; she may not be the most muscular cat, but she is a good runner; she is agile, & excels at jumping & sneaking.
she is a patient huntress, able to lie in wait for her prey for hours if need be, awaiting the perfect moment to strike.
& when she does strike, she's as rapid as a cobra, & very rarely does she miss or it get away.

hollybranch took after her father from a young age; silversnake was a dedicated warrior, one who had a strong hatred
for the swampclan cats after his brothers were both killed by swampclan cats. and so, he raised his little 'daddy's girl'
with that same mindset; there was about a moon when he refused to speak to his daughter however, when he realized
how she was not a very strong fighter, regardless of how much time her mentor put into her, or how much extra time
her father tried to put into teaching her. however, her mother willowbreeze convinced him he was being foolish, &
after he watched her hunting one day, he realized where her true gift was. so he took to making sure she was the most
skilled huntress that the clan had, and he taught her to excel at all of the defensive battle moves, which she was good
at due to her long legs and speed. when her parents got pregnant again & had her little brother, they were older cats,
and so she determined to be the best, protective older sister that she could be to sick little mistpaw.

cranepaw is... certainly a personality. she's eager, mischevious, and tends to overachieve only to fall short. she takes risks, she acts reckless, she doesn't think her plans through, and is loyal to a fault. it can be frustrating to watch her try and try again only to fail because she tries to take it too far, and even more frustrating for her to go through. she doesn't seem to understand that her ambitions are a fault and gets upset when people tell her she's trying too much - she takes it as a comment of "you're not good enough so you need to do something easier."

Regardless, cranepaw is friendly and tries to get along with everyone. she enjoys talking to members of hillclan on the rare occasions they meet, asking about life in fields rather than in a marsh. she'd never dream of leaving, though oftentimes cats express worry over her ability to become a warrior, the fact she may have to fight friends some day, though she vehemently denies that she would betray her clan.

there's not much history to tell - she was born in swampclan, raised in swampclan, by her parents and has never known anything but swampclan.

mintpaw is more the warrior type than the healer type. he wants to be brave, to be heroic, to be out saving lives actively - he's still very young and not sure about the importance of 'not being the best'. as a kit he was very sternly encouraged to become the medicine cat apprentice due to the fact mintpaw is blind in his right eye. it was difficult for him, as a kit, to play with the other kits, and often found himself getting hurt, getting lost, running into things because he found it too difficult to focus.
regardless mintpaw put his paw down and said no, i want to fight. i want to be a warrior.
so he became an apprentice. he's not great at it yet, still struggles, and he feels like he's underachieving compared to his peers.
he's a little bitter about it and so can be pretty snappish sometimes, especially towards his mentor who he complains is the reason he's failing his training, it's not mintpaw's fault, he's only doing what he's told! it can be very frustrating to hear him moaning and griping, so it's not unusual to dislike him.
that being said, mintpaw does understand deep down that his inability to perform proper warrior duties is entirely down to his own stubbornness and issues. because of that, despite his complaints, he does pour his heart into the jobs he's given despite because he still wants praise and he still wants people to nod and say 'yes, mintpaw will make a good warrior someday'. it's all he really wants.
at the end of the day, he's a skeptical young cat doing his best to find a role in his clan and struggling greatly with it. he feels out of place as a failing apprentice, knows he'll never be a proper warrior without struggling much harder than his clanmates, and doesn't want to retire as an early elder - he acts moody to keep people away so they can't pry at his insecurities and pretends everything is just fine and does a pretty good job of it if he does say so himself.

cherrycloud is very laidback and calm. he encourages his clanmates best he can and doesn't hesitate to help with duties, even offering to take some over for the younger warriors of the clan. he's very much a "father/mother figure" and will play with kits, joke around with the apprentices, and comfort others when they need comfort. he doesn't go so far as to put others ahead of him so much that it costs him, but he does he best to keep everyone on equal levels.

on the flip side however, much like a cloud, he can have his... bad moments. they're not unheard of, and it's no secret to avoid him when he's in a bad mood- he wouldn't attack anyone, but just as his words can be encouraging, they can also be degrading to the point where they seem to cut to the bone. he regrets these moments immensely once they're over but doesn't really know how to keep them in check or control them.

cherrycloud's past is an uneventful one, to a degree- his mother died when he was a young apprentice, killed by a pair of rogues passing through the territory that she met on a hunting trip with a friend. she'd been young, foolish, and though did take one down with her was not enough of a match for two.
his father was grief-stricken but moved on, took on another mate who cherrycloud admired as a parental figure during his apprenceship. his fathers new mate died of an illness not long after he was made a warrior, and his father took off as his son was old enough then to care for himself. he makes up for his messy parental situation by acting as a parent to others.

personality. pitchpaw has always been one to seek the respect of essentially anyone he
surrounds himself with. because of this he is incredibly susceptible to negative words of either,
criticism or maliciousness. regardless of this he tries his best to find confidence in spite of the
insecurity that always whispers in his ear and has resorted to walling up any negative emotion
he feels. pitchpaw often struggles with trying to figure out who he wants to be and what he w-
ants from his place in the clan which is a shadow of his insecurities. he is gentle and compassio-
nate which often gets confused with being naive and the tom is often easily manipulable, howe-
ver he isn't completely oblivious and has started noticing whenever he encounters a cat he dee-

appearance; as a kit the tom's pelt was pitch black and fluffy, but he's started to grow into his attire, turning the tufts of fur around
his neck, chest, pants, and paws to turn a deep dark reddish brown. his pelt isn't actually as long and thick as it appears considering he has
amassed a solid amount of muscle which is hidden under his fur. his pale green eyes contrast heavily against his pelt. may the dark auburn
brown deceive you to think his pelt is dirty, because he grooms himself quite more often than most foolhardy and aloof tom apprentices.

➸ It was pretty clear when he was a kit that he wouldn't be able to become a warrior. He seemed fine, he seemed like any other kit...Until he started trying to run. Of course nobody ever expected him to get the hang of it his first try, but eventually he should have figured it out, but he never quite did. He always stumbled over his own paws and fell, he couldn't play chase with the other kits as he could never catch them.
➸ Some cats that watched him thought he would grow out of it and some didn't, so far the second group of cats have been correct. He can move at a decent trot without any problems, but as soon as he starts picking up speed he's all over the place and it's only a matter of time before he can no longer keep on his feet.
➸ When he came of age to become an apprentice he was very excited that he might get the chance to prove himself. He thought that maybe he could overcome his circumstances, but it seemed that Starclan had a different plan for him as he was chosen as the medicine cat apprentice, which surprised him, but he wasn't really upset about it. Really he just wanted to be useful to the clan.
➸ Soon after he became an apprentice he realized it really was for the best. He would never be able to hunt properly as he would likely scare the prey away before he even got near whatever he was hunting, and even if he did sneak up on something if it started to run he wouldn't be able to follow it for very long. He probably would have just ended up hurting himself over and over again. As for fighting...Well he could defend himself, but offense really wasn't his greatest strength.
➸ However he's discovered that he's got quite a good memory and has found enjoyment in learning what different herbs are called and what they are used for. He also likes the smells the surround him when he is around herbs. He still has a lot to learn, but he is an eager little guy and wants to do his very best.
➸ Spiderpaw is a very respectful cat towards all other cats. He doesn't care if they are younger than him or older than him, he doesn't care if they are from his clan or if they are outside of his clan. He just believes that everyone deserves respect unless they do something that would cause him to lose his respect, but he isn't sure what they could do to lose his respect.
➸ He has been made fun of for his clumsiness, but he doesn't really mind. He would prefer to not let others gets to him and he also doesn't want his lack of ability to run properly to rule over his life. He would rather learn to excel at other things to make up for what he lacks and prove to his clan that he is worth something.
➸ Not one for holding grudges he is quick to forgive and forget, even if maybe he shouldn't be. He will always help a cat in need without prejudice as he believes it is the right thing to do. He tends to trust easily and put his faith into the cats around him without question.
➸ As far as romance goes he hasn't really put much thought into it since it is forbidden for medicine cats to have mates, but even before that he was too young to really care. He does know that he doesn't have a gender preference and isn't much interested in how a cat looks, though he does like a cat with soft and warm eyes. He'd probably just appreciate someone who is nice and soft spoken if he ever was going to develop a crush.
➸ No other kits were born with Spiderpaw, though his mother often encouraged him to spend time around other kits he never fit in very well, but he often had fun playing by himself with a passing leaf or something. He never knew his father and isn't sure what happened to him. He had his mother though and she loved him dearly, she always cheered him on. Only a moon after Spiderpaw became an apprentice she went out on a patrol and when the patrol came back she wasn't with them, she feel into quicksand and from then on he only saw her in dreams where her scent comforted him.
