directly from france, matthew's mother m
et his father from london, the two moved
to the US and had matthew's older brother
clyde. seven years later, matthew unexpe
ctedly came along. when of age, clyde jo
ined the military. after he left, matthew's
mother fell ill and died thereafter from h
er resulting illness. throughout his life, m
atthew had been raised part-time outdoor
s on camping trimps with his dad where h
e would teach the boys how to hunt, cook,
and provide from themselves in remote se
ttings. this fun adventure became handy l
ater on in life for obvious reasons.

homeschooled, matthew didn't have many people b
eside a select few individuals, mostly family. life b
ecame even lonelier into his late teens, come the f
all. at that point, clyde had been presumed dead a
nd mr. williams and matt never heard from him aga
in. his whereabouts remain unknown today. as well,
shorly after the fall, matthew's father suffered from
heart failure and couldn't locate any medication. he
died from a mixture of heart failure and mutation c
omplications. matthew really had no choice but to
move on and manage with what he knew; survival t
aught at a young age. he didn't have time or allow h
imself time to grieve when basically a max extinctio
n was on his hands

due to his immediate survival knowledge,
matthew is capable of learning fast and is
generally pretty good at following directio
s provided by a leader-figure. he isn't the
argumentative type and typically follows a
path carved for him. he isn't, however, afr
aid to combat opinions with his own and tr
y to come to an agreement or consensus wi
th others, or else act on his own decisions i
f the scenario is extreme. within a group se
tting, he works as a team always, and help
s with foraging, using resources, or just co
oking fish over a crappy fire. for the most
part he helps wherever he's asked to help.

i. first of all he's six foot two and wouldn't let you forget it for the world
ii. has a mutation where his skin will occasionally blister at minor inflict
ions - or not, it is completely random and he suspects it is linked to an u
nderlying mutation but he doesn't care enough to know. iii. kind of confu
sed because he'd gladly die for anyone but also tries really hard to put hi
mself first so ?? what? iv. this man absolutely adores dark spaces and will
sit in any dark empty city for the rest of his life. v. used to be way more
worrisome but now he's just kind of straight calm vibing vi. when he's ner
vous or stressed he gets hives on his fingers vii. doesn't have a preferred
weapon but always makes sure something is on him for safety viii. tries t
o lighten situations with bad jokes or remarks ix. due to his parent's diffe
ring accents matthew has taken on a bit of an indiscernible accent that i
s most noticed on his vowels, 'e's and 'o's especially ix. he's recently taken
up sketching and drawing - turns out he's pretty good. x. keeps a little jo
urnal of his experiences/memories/notes and its usually on him. xi. prefe
rs long-distance combat or to stealth-oriented attacks; this is usually to a
void damage to his sensitive skin that can blister at a hand-scratch xii. ya
boi is fluent in french!! oui
