Hello everyone!! Looking forward to roleplaying with y'all as Rookfang and Maplefoot. Just gonna tag a bunch of people rn to set up relations so apologies for the Big Huge Post in advance lol. Also disclaimer?? If you don't really envision our characters having the relationship I do that is 100% fine and I will not be offended, just say so :>


@evanie How long ago was Badgerstar the leader? I'm thinking maybe Rookfang could've been close with him before his leadership... and if that was the case, I think Rookfang would've been a staunch supporter and friend to Lilystar in routing Badgerstar and setting her up as leader. Thoughts?
ALSO if Forestfire supported Badgerstar after he started killing cats then Rookfang would absolutely not like him, whereas if he stopped supporting him after Badgerstar revealed his true nature I think they could definitely have bonded over being deceived by him. I'm happy w/ either way, could make for some interesting tension if they didn't like each other.

@dre Given their similar ages I definitely think Rookfang and Brightnoise could be friends (maybe??? more??? that would be a helluva mental stressor for Rookfang given he is such a butt about being loyal to the code). I don't think he would always understand about her synesthesia but he would certainly try his hardest to be there for her.

@imperials I think Rookfang and Rushwing could have a friendship going, albeit with Rookfang constantly providing unsolicited advice about being deputy because he's older and thinks that gives him the right to tell Rushwing what to do :')
Maplefoot would probably like Rushwing because he would put up with her being annoying more than their other clanmates would lmao

@wildsight Just a thought but perhaps,, Rookfang and Owlwatcher could be brothers? I could definitely see Rookfang as acting like Owlwatcher is annoying but secretly being really attached and protective of him as his only family.
Maplefoot could definitely get along with Brokenhope because she is basically immune to being offended by bluntness. Though Brokenhope seems much more contained than Maplefoot, so it could be an interesting dynamic with Maplefoot doing like 95% of the talking. cx

@fall Maplefoot would love Brackenpaw, she isn't one to do pranks herself but being pranked by Brackenpaw would probably be the funniest thing on earth to her. I can definitely see them getting along since they're equally excitable and friendly.

brother even if he does act like he's annoying oof he'll be quite protective
of the older tom even though he could handle himself just fine and probably
not even need his help, but ;w; and yeah !! brokenhope probably would see
it as a bit...strange at first, but probably would be quite protective of her
despite her more reserved nature. and yeah their conversations would be
like that lol ;w;

I like to think that during their apprenticeship Maplefoot just attached herself to Brokenhope and she didn't really get a choice in the matter lmao

@arkinhallow i would say his leadership ended about 11 moons ago. i definitely agree that rookfang and lilystar would be close throughout all that. i can definitely see her going to him for advice, especially at the beginning of her leadership, since he has much more experience than she does.

hm i think forestfire was very blinded at that time as a young apprentice looking up to his idol. he didn't know the extent of badgerstar's corruption and badgerstar was discreet about it, even to his followers, seeming like just a cat who radically wanted the best for the clan. once it was revealed that he had actually killed cats, forestfire definitely tore himself away. it just took him a bit longer than others to see. ooh wait or!!!! what if rookfang was forestfire's old mentor and it was rookfang who tried to make forestfire see badgerstar's true intentions when he realized? and forestfire reacted with hostility at first, in denial? i can see there still being a little bit of tension between them, but ultimately they have some sort of mutual respect and recover their relationship after the turnout of events?

I love that idea. I think Rookfang would definitely be the sort to never quite forget what happened, and it might've taken him a while to come around again, but I think he would have realised that rejecting Forestfire when he finally turned away from Badgerstar could have had bad consequences for each of them going forward. I think their relationship would still be a work in progress in the aftermath of what's happened, but I can see them becoming fast friends over time. I'm also sort of thinking that,, maybe it came out that Badgerstar killed one of Rookfang's friends, which made it all the harder for him to forgive Forestfire later on. But maybe that's too much, your call cx
