a little too young, a little too inexperienced, and a little too eager to prove himself.
caddock was born to a ten pup litter, a miraculous but daunting number. to his par
ents, the number only meant the agony of their soon-to-be grief was to be dragge
d out for longer than it should. to temper their despair, they decided to dedicate th
eir energy to only one pup out of the ten, the strongest of the batch, and that happ
ened to be caddock. as they were doomed to, each of his siblings eventually perish
ed until he, the chosen one, was the only one left standing.

before his parents passed away themselves, caddock was very much a momma's bo
y, feeding off the praise and affection she would flourish on him but never to his litt
ermates. he imprints on and gets attached to motherly figures very easily until now,
and thrives off of their validation. caddock trains hard to prove himself to his super
iors, hoping deeply that through impressing them he can climb the ranks and make
it to the top, where he was always destined to be.

pure of blood without the heart to match, is how eska has been described. they sa
y she was a far sweeter dog to be around, before her posh pedigree lifestyle was s
tripped from her in the wake of the apocalypse. the months of untoward hardship
in a dying city almost crippled what little strength and resolve she had.

her desperation led her into the charms of a dashing malamute who for a while do
ted on her, driving her head over heels for him. he became an image of hope, of a
future for herself in the wretched world they lived in. however, he simply got up a
nd left one day, his sudden absence leaving her alone once more, now with a belly
ful of his pups to panic over.

she'd had litters before, all taken away to be given out to strangers like treats scatt
ered on a sidewalk. this one she was determined not to lose, no matter the cost. no
t too long ago, she found herself at the mercy of the grove pack, who she now resid
es among. whatever sweetness she once possessed has withered into something bit
ter and jaded. her loyalties lie only to herself and whatever trust she puts in her fell
ow pack members is, at best, tenuous.

definitely! i haven't decided whether she's had the pups yet or not, so which would you two prefer? also the sire is an alaskan malamute like this one over here, just to help with coming up with their appearances. she had/will have four pups in the litter, but only two are going to make it in the longterm.
