➸ All he ever wanted to be was a singer, and ever since a young age he was very talented with singing, but his family never supported that life style. They would constantly berate him, and his older brother especially teased him and bullied him for wanting to be a singer, but he never gave up, even when he was at his lowest points.
➸ School was typically pretty easy for him, he didn't pay a whole lot of attention in class, but he didn't need to as he figured things out with relative ease. He did put all of his effort into music class though, he got most of the solos and even was taught to play the piano by his music teacher. He would tell his parents he was staying after to catch up on homework or do some studying, but he was always just practicing the piano until he was forced to stop by the teacher so that she could go home.
➸ He made some good friends in school that support his choice of wanting to be a singer, and for awhile everything seemed to be going really well. He was happy for the most part, though he was still having some troubles at home whenever he would try to talk about his music and the songs he was writing and hoping to one day perform in front of an audience.
➸ Still he wasn't prepared for the day when he got a call saying that his parents had passed in a fatal car accident. He was just starting in high school at the time and that was the day when everything really took a turn for the worst. His grades plummeted and his already rocky relationship with his older brother just spiraled further down into darkness. They were living with an aunt that was working two jobs and had no time to pay any attention to them, but he was fine with that.
➸ Music became his only companion, the only thing he cared about. He hardly spoke to his friends, he mostly spent time alone staring out windows and wishing that things were better. He would end up going to parties and stirring up trouble just to try and feel something other than anguish, but nothing worked. He became known as the school's bad boy and he really didn't have any problems with that.
➸ Life went on, but it seemed like he never really moved forward, even when he became a trainee and then an idol. Even now as a member of the most popular group in Korea he doesn't really feel like he's moving on. He feels stuck in the same spot, sure he has moments where he is happy and everything seems fine, and he really loves hi members, they are the only family he has now, but he just can't seem to make the happiness stick. He gets into trouble a lot, he never lost his bad boy image, he never really tried to, now he gets all sorts of the wrong kind of publicity for it, but he doesn't know how to stop.
➸ He chose the stage name Angel for himself simply because the irony of it amuses him. Maybe there is more to it, maybe it is also because he wants to be better, but he'd never admit to that out loud. Hopefully it's not too late for him, he's getting desperate to find something, anything, that will help him, but he's too stubborn to reach out. It looks like he might just have to rely on luck.
➸ Whenever he gets time to himself he likes to sit down and start writing songs, spilling out the words that are in his heart onto paper, but he never shows his songs to anyone, not his personal songs anyway. He'll help write songs for the group, but that's different, he keeps what's in his heart to himself, but someday he wants to share it with the world so that they know of his struggles, so that anyone else out there who is struggling knows that they aren't alone.
➸ Love is a difficult subject for Angel. He's had girlfriends and boyfriends in the past, but he never loved any of them. The only love he knows is the love he feels towards the members in the band, familial love, but he would like to think that someday he will fall in love with someone. He's not open about his sexuality in the public eye, as far as the media is concerned he's just another straight male, but that's not true. He really has no preference, he just wants someone who would be able to see inside him, see past the rough exterior into his soul, the part of him that needs help and wants to be good. There is good in everybody, including him, he just needs help letting his scars fade to allow him to become someone stronger than the person that the world currently knows. Maybe someday...
