- amyra's mother was her father's mistress, a beautiful seductress from a lesser
house. in most noble houses, bastard children, especially girls, would be abando-
oned at birth. thankfully, because she is from house lychester, her father had a
purpose for her. she would be trained in fighting and strategy and would eventu-
ally help her younger brother lead. when she was younger, she hated the idea of
being second to her younger sibling but she grew into her role and learned to lo-
ve bossing her brother around. plus, she couldn't get in trouble for it because it
was her job! amyra enjoys being the one person who can tell the lord of the land
what to do and not get in trouble for it. okay, he does get mad at her for and thr-
eatens to marry her off to seventy-year-old widowers, but she's learned to hand-
le that after many years of practice. at the ball, amyra hopes to find at respect-
able match for marriage because marrying for an alliance is her only other duty.

- since she was a young girl, madeline has been raised to obey her father compl-
etely. her father was not the lord of blizzard hold, in fact. her mother was actu-
ally the previous head of house winterport. her mother was a winterport right d-
own to her raven black hair and she had been an amazing ruler. her people love-
d her dearly. however, her father was seeking to dethrone her mother and put h-
er in charge as a puppet. her father did just that when his wife finally fell ill. o-
ffical reports by her father say that she had succumb to the illness but many pe-
ople think that he killed the lady with poison or something similar. however she
died, she left the blizzard hold to her daughter. madeline became the lady but
she has never done anything with the post that she want, she does whatever h-
er father tells her to, even if she doesn't personally agree with it. while she m-
ay look very beautiful and happy, madeline is very tormented underneath that
and feels more like a puppet than a human. she really just need someone to tu-
rn her against her father.

- natari was raised to be extremely proud of who she was. she was the heir to a-
varia, the princess. her father was the king who was rich and honorable and her
mother was a beautiful and intelligent woman from a highborn family. she lear-
ned as much as she could as a child in preparation for ruling after her father on-
e day. natari believe that everything was going to go as it was promised until a
few days after her seventeenth birthday. her father started acting strange and h-
e began to order cruel things to be done to innocent people. natari prayed that
it would all stop, that they could go back to being the benevolent rulers they h-
ad been before. but, it never stopped until the day day after her eighteen birt-
hday, when a group of noblemen and their armies stormed the castle, killed her
father and took her mother, her, and her brother hostage. they were exiled to t-
he cold, icy isles of the far north where they were never to be heard from agai-
n. however, natari isn't okay with sitting still. the throne is hers by birthright a-
nd she feels that is her duty to make it back to the mainland, raise an army and
show the other houses that house blackmyre will not be taken out easily. she w-
ants to make up for her father's missteps, but she needs a ship and an army to
do that.
