Everyone Deserves A Second Chance...

Last Chance Ranch is located several miles outside of small-town Berry Hill, Tennessee. Founded some fifty-odd years ago by Valerie and Clarence Forbes, Last Chance is a place for criminals and horses alike to go for a second chance. The ranch specializes in rescuing abused, abandoned, or neglected horses and rehabilitating them so that they might one day find a new home. Much like the horses, Last Chance also specializes in reforming youth who might have strayed onto the wrong side of the law at some point in their lives. Last Chance has a deal with the local Juvenile Detention Center and the Jail that any youths 21 and under who aren't in for any sort of animal abuse or sexual assault charges may be permitted to spend their sentence working and living at the Ranch instead, where they will be given various chores as well as a horse to work with, in Hope's that both human and animal might come out better than they were when they entered. Many were hesitant about the program when it first opened, and many still are a bit concerned, but for the most part, people have thoroughly embraced the program and agree that it has reformed many criminals and seemingly hopeless animals alike! And who knows... maybe Last Chance can be your chance at a new and better life!

Appearance → Kinsley is a girl on the shorter side of the height spectrum with long, thick chestnut hair and bright emerald green eyes. She has a slim figure, lean legs, and dainty hands and feet. She has fair, lightly tanned skin with a dusting of freckles on her cheeks, nose, and arms.

Personality → Determined, Hard-Working, Dedicated, and Driven. These are just a few words to describe Kinsley Rose Forbes. There probably isn't a person alive who is as dedicated and driven to succeed as Kinsley is. Kinsley has a rocky start in life, so she comes off as very guarded and withdrawn at times. She doesn't trust easily, but once you earn her trust you'll have a best friend for life. To those she is close to, she is playful, witty, and charming. Like most girls who grew up country, Kinsley is horse crazy and has always had a special gift with horses. She competes in several English style events and also participates in Trick Riding and Liberty Work. She is the Head Trainer at Last Chance for a reason, and it isn't just because her short fuse makes her a bad choice to work with the kids her parents take in. She is stubborn, prideful, and a bit sensitive when it comes to her past. She is also loyal to her friends, and extremely protective of those she cares about.

History → Kinsley Rose Abernathy was born June 17th to Etienne and Louise Abernathy, alongside her twin brother, __________. Kinsley and ________ were born to a pair of unfit parents who were more interested in chasing their next thrill than they were in raising their children. Because of this, the twins ended up in foster care when they were three years old. Kinsley and _____ jumped around to several foster homes for the next year before finally being placed with the Forbes and their biological children. Kinsley quickly fell in love with horses, becoming a total horse girl almost overnight, and it was with the help of horses that she eventually came to trust her foster parents and her place in the family. Kinsley and her twin brother were officially adopted by the Forbes when they were nine, taking on the family name and cementing their place on the ranch. Since then, Kinsley has grown a lot and her love and skill with horses have exceeded anyone's expectations.

Dennis the Menace came into Kinsley's life when she was eleven years old. The newborn colt had lost his mother and needed near 24/7 care, and Kinsley leaped at the chance to help out with the feisty foal. Somewhere along the way, the pair bonded insanely close and it eventually got to the point where Kinsley was the only one capable of handling him. Dennis got his show name because of his feisty and oftentimes aggressive nature. Despite that, he is a sound horse and Kinsley has entrusted him with her life on numerous occasions. Dennis eventually had a daughter, whom Kinsley named Mistress of Mayhem, and she spent several amazing years performing with the pair as a team before Mayhem got Strangles and unfortunately passed. Since the passing of his daughter, Dennis has become even more unpredictable and aggressive, even throwing Kinsley during a competition a few weeks back.
