Well he's a villain, what does it matter if his dad is dead or not?

May I suggest pulling him from an alternate universe where his version of night crawler would be dead but the one in this universe would still be alive. You’d have to work out how he got to this universe but it would allow you to keep all the elements of your character’s backstory.

No canon characters can be dead because others might wanna play them, if the canon character you chose was less popular that might have been ok but nightcrawler is not an unpopular character. Not to mention if hes dead how would you have gotten to the villain world or have know to go to the world. and if you noticed the description says the main villain accidentally kidnapped villians and heroes.

You wernt causing trouble, if you wanted to do that you should have told me about it but that doesn't change the fact that the reason nightcrawler cant be dead is because others might wanna play him.

You can still have him be part of the villain group thats a fine reason for how he got there.
