"Jordan Here. Um, I'm young, I'm a mutant, and I'm looking to make some friends! Is that,...is that a cool thing to say? There's literally no un-awkward way to introduce yourself, is there?"
[โ˜ข]
Jordan is a young, slightly immature boy who is incredibly idealistic despite the grim reality of the world. He's the type of guy to see the glass half full and insist there must be a sink somewhere around here where we can fill it! Somewhere...
Jordan is a very easily distracted guy, having no ability to focus and no sense of direction. Most people confuse him to be younger than he is because of his light, care-free attitude. This also causes people to underestimate him which is a huge mistake.
Jordan has almost an alter-ego hidden inside of him. A version of him that is stubborn, defensive, and very serious. This side of Jordan only ever comes out when he feels seriously threatened and he'd rather hide that side of himself under a million warm, fuzzy blankets of humor.

Jordan grew up the single child in a middle class home to loving, normal parents. Jordan discovered his abilities when he was in grade school. Jordan was on his way home from school when he saw a squirrel and attempted to feed it. His kind nature had always made him a natural friend to animals. He reached into his lunchbox and tore a piece of bread from his sandwich, crouching and stretching out his arm to offer it to the lost woodland creature. It's ears perked and it's nose twitched, clearly intrigued and put to ease by Jordan's demeanor. Slowly, the animal found it's way to Jordan's hand and plucked the bread from his fingers, scurrying a foot away before devouring the bread. Jordan smiled warmly at the sight until he noticed the color of the bread as it disappeared into the squirrels mouth. For some reason, the bread was a sickly green color, something unnatural to look at. The squirrels body quickly reacted, seizing and causing the animal to fall over onto it's side. Jordan ran over to help, but could only watch as it twitched and oozed a foamy yellow substance from it's mouth, dying as quickly as it had eaten the bread. Jordan looked at his hands in disgust, noticing the veins on his palm were a deep green, making his hands look pale and sickly, like they belonged to a dead person. As Jordan stared, the colors faded and his hands became bright pink and healthy again. He was horrified, he kept this incident a secret and learned to control and hide his powers from his parents. As the boy grew, he went through a slight rebellious phase in high school and began experimenting with his abilities. He found that if he focused and placed his outstretched palms on the ground, he could cause the poison he created to spread and intensify, melting holes in the asphalt parking lot of his school. Soon, he figured out how to move the poison touch to other parts of his body, singing the ground as his bare feet slapped the pavement, melting a hairbrush he ran through his mop of hair, even embarrassingly destroying an innocent pillow he attempted to practice kissing on. Eventually people began to take notice of the path of destruction he left in his wake, and his parents sent him off to the bunker. Jordan swore to his parents he would be careful and use his powers in the best possible way. He plans to keep that promise.

Jordan's poison powers aren't only geared towards destruction. Through his passive study of his abilities, Jordan has discovered that he can also create a pink poison gas that is completely harmless, except it makes the victim of it sleep. Jordan discovered this by jolting awake at his desk, finding his head in his hands as the pink cloud around him dissipated into the air.

I'd be interested in joining in this RP or the alternate version? But I have a couple qs first and yeah this is likely to be helpful for other peeps too, and I can find this easily as well, so, y'know.

I have a character in mind I think would be really fun? She's got a very extreme sort of sassy bad-girl type personality, as a very quick summary of her, with resurrective immortality + darkness powers, and there's several characters on the other thread that could be really fun to interact with but then also? I think her and Raven would be an amazing combo for the bants, y'know? Which would be better for her and would joining both versions with the same peep be chill?

And second thing: what's the criteria for a villain label over a hero label? Is it personality (and at what point is it formed? If they're horrible when you get to know them, but they seem really nice at first, when do they get the villain label?)? Is it the level of criminal record - and if so, does it count if they don't actually have a criminal record? Is it the role they'd take if they hypothetically manage to start a revolution and get out of the bunker? Where would someone who's more morally grey such as doing good things with really bad methods go?

Immortality - phoenix style. If
she gains a significant injury
(eg broken bones, major
concussion) (or if she
actually dies) she dies
entirely, she is restored to the
state she was in before her
first death, including age,
piercings, fitness level, etc.
She keeps her memories. Once
everything is restored, she
wakes. How long it takes
depends on the cause. As her
first death was at 19, she
typically still looks 19, but she's
legally 26 and mentally in
between. She counts as dead for
other powers.

Shadow jumps.
Flo can teleport at
any point within
the same
continuous
shadow she's
touching. She can
use this to get out
of sealed areas,
so long as there
are shadows on
both side of one
barrier. Night-time
counts, as it's when
one side of the
earth is in the
shadow of the
other.

Constructs. Flo
manipulates shadows,
turning them into solid
constructs. She can't
make shadows bigger;
she can only change
whether they're solid,
their location, and
their shape. She can
move shadows around
without making them
interactable, but it's
not a separate power,
as you can feel the
shadows move; she
turns them into
extremely thin
constructs.

xxxFlo is almost a personification of pure,
unbridled attitude. She's sassy, she's
brutal, and, for the most part, she'll say
whatever it is she wants to. Despite that,
she's more than capable of tempering her
attitude if she sees that'd be useful. She
can be stubborn, argumentative, and out-
right cruel when she wants, too, but,
again, she knows exactly how much she
needs to temper herself. She's less brutal
if she actually likes you, and she'll start
using it more as a way to try to cheer
people up or make them laugh, but she'll
never completely stop with the sass and
the attitude. Those who befriend her can
be very sure that when they need back-
up, that mouth is going to be aimed
whole-heartedly at whomever they're
grieved by.
xxxShe's easily spots when there's a
moment she can flirt, even if it's really
not appropriate for the moment, and
she knows no-one else will understand
what she's on about. She will flirt with
anyone (who's over 18, of course), and,
from her, even a "hello" can be flirting.
If she wants, Flo can be extremely
charismatic and charming on occasion.
Flo is an excellent liar.
xxxFlo knows how attractive she is and
cares a lot about her appearance, both
in physicality and personality. Even if
she develops a soft-spot for someone,
she will never tolerate being seen
as soft.
xxxHer powers have lead to her being a
little reckless. Flo studied history at
university and uses this to mess with
people who find out she's immortal and
she finds are annoying. She's decent at
most creative hobbies. She was in the
musical theatre society in her university.
xxxFlorence is an only child, born to an
immigrant mother, and Polish refugee
paternal grandparents. She's fluent in
Polish, and reasonably competent in several
European languages thanks to her heritage.
Everyone who's had powers in her family has had
them activate after trauma.
xxxFlo died for the first time at university, at 19
years old. She was at a party, and someone with
a highly destructive power got drunk, and their
power mis-fired... and there's a reason the
normal response to powered individuals is for the
government to take them into custody. Almost
everyone was either killed or injured. Flo died.
By the time the ambulances arrived, she was
awake again, uninjured. They sent her to
counselling. Flo had absolutely no idea how she'd
survived.
xxxHer other powers activated alongside her
immortality. She didn't have anyone to teach her,
but they were hard to ignore, and she knew the
government's stance and she wasn't willing to risk
not knowing how to hide them... so she got onto
trying to control her powers. She wasn't great at
first - there's definitely a steep learning curve
when you don't have anyone to help - and ended
up dying a few other times in accidents, and
taking each of these times to work out that she
couldn't stay dead. She then worked out that
this meant she could really push herself.
Eventually, after graduating, she realised it was
becoming obvious she wasn't aging . She realised
it would draw bad attention from officials if she
didn't age... so she feigned her death.
xxxShe had no idea about the bunker until she
stumbled upon it a few nights' ago while
escaping authorities who had gotten too close to
recognising her for her liking. Not having
anything stopping her practicing for several years',
and having no real repercussions if she's found
practising, she's caught up to the skill level of a
lot of people who've had their powers most of their
lives.

I think it should go without saying, but, still, let's make sure it's clear: unless I explicitly say otherwise in the previous post, you always have my permission to kill/majorly injure Flo in a post, s'long as you follow Tess' rules with it and all (and it doesn't just come completely out of nowhere, y'know?). She'll be back before long. Still don't recommend doing it much because it'd get boring, y'know? But you can and that's what this is here for.

And yeah I think this is done now..? If I join the other version too, I'm probably just gonna quote this form ;P
