Personality: Khari has a serious nature, and always has. Having been deprived of his childhood, one could say that he has always been an adult. He is intelligent, stern, and tends to be the level headed man of any group.

Unfortunately, his past has left more than just physical scars on him. Khari can't seem to let go of the feeling of anxiety that a crowded room brings him, or the nightmares that still come from time to time. He can't control the wild, animal instinct to fight when backed into a corner, and can be very dangerous if he feels as though he's trapped.

These issues leave him with little faith in himself. How could he ever have a pack, a family, if he can't even control his own rage? He has come to a point where he hates fighting, even though it's one the thing he's good at. He'll do his best to avoid a violent confrontation, but if someone else starts it, he will most certainly finish it.

Appearance: Khari is fairly large, standing at 6 feet even and being lean muscled. His skin is a dark brown, and his hair is worn in shoulder length dreadlocks. His style is usually t-shirts and jeans, or whatever he can pull together. Seeing as he doesn't really have a home or money, he's lucky to get what he has.

As a wolf, Khari is a large, ash and cinder colored male. He is built with lean muscles. His fur covers most of his scars, but the larger ones leave bald patches in his pelt.


History:

It's not something Khari likes talking about, but he will if coaxed. He was born in a small village in West Africa, in a country plagued by the war. Their village was protected by government troops, until the troops fell and the rebel militia took over. It was a dark time: men and young boys were seized, forced to join the rebel troops, women were abused and killed. Khari was only four when it began, and six when the government finally came and fought the rebels off. The village thought they were saved. They weren't.

Most of the villagers had already fled during the take over, and the government troops assumed whoever remained were aligned with the rebels. The massacre began. Khari's mother told him to run as fast and far as he could, and never to look back. He can only assume she was killed.

Khari escaped into the countryside and lived off the land for a little while. He wasn't happy, but he wasn't particularly unhappy either. He figured he'd live that way forever, until he came across a rebel military faction. They captured him and forced him into the ranks of their mercenary battalion; at age seven, Khari became a child soldier.

The next two years passed in a blur. The battalion took towns, ambushed troops, killed mercilessly and indiscriminately. Khari learned to shoot a gun as easy as one drinks water. The absentminded killing is something that still haunted Khari to this day. How could he have ever been capable of such things?

Khari was nine when his troop was attacked while camping in the thick of a jungle. Their adversaries weren't humans, but giant wolves. The fight was bloody, and many men were lost. Khari was torn up pretty badly, but he managed to escape with a small group of soldiers. They were later found by their fellow rebel troops and patched up. However, Khari and a hand full of other boys had been bitten. Few knew what this meant, but the more superstitious men of the group knew what to do. The following full moon, Khari and the other boys were caged before they transformed. This opened a whole new box of horrors for the young boy.

No longer trustworthy as soldiers, the men took the werewolf boys and pinned them against each other for sport. Khari was forced to fight his own former comrades, sometimes to the death. He learned once again that he was very good at hurting others.

Khari was twelve when government troops captured the rebel soldiers. The young boys were taken to orphanage homes to be rehabilitated. By this time, Khari was the only werewolf boy left, the others having been killed in fights or having managed to escape. The missionaries at the orphanage never knew what Khari was, and he made sure that they never found out. He would sneak off and hide when he shifted, and return the morning after as if nothing had happened. Do to his cautiousness, Khari got to stay at the orphanage and learn basic education, such as reading and writing, math, English, and other broad topics. He'd never gone to school before, and the opportunity to learn was far greater than any opportunity being a wolf had brought him.

Khari was adopted about a year later by an American priest and his wife, who had two older children and wished for a third. Khari was excited to be sent overseas to meet his new family, and for a few months, everything when well. He learned about religion and was given a chance to further his education. Food was given to him three times a day, with generous meals. For once in his life, Khari was happy.

He kept up his secret by sneaking out every once in a while to shift and let off steam. However, his adoptive parents began to notice. Concerned about his safety, his father sent the oldest son after to Khari to bring him home. Khari's brother followed him into the nearby woods, only to watch the boy shift into an uncontrolled, giant wolf. Back in those days, Khari had very little self control over his wolf form, having never been taught to bridle his rage. Unable to control himself, Khari attacked his brother.

Luckily, the older boy got away with little more than a few scratches, but the incident left Khari with more invisible scars. He couldn't go back and face his family now. He couldn't trust himself around them. So, with a heavy heart, Khari ran away. He was fifteen when he become a loner, and has since worked on his self control as a wolf. He's gotten better, but will still act aggressively if he feels threatened or trapped. Being cornered takes him back to his childhood, of being trapped in a hot room full of men all hooting and cheering, and another wolf whom he knew he had to fight.

Because of his problems with controlling his outbursts, and a certain lack of faith in himself, Khari has never joined a pack. He tends to demonize himself, thinking of himself as a monster and giving up on any chance of a normal life. Perhaps having a pack to back him up would help pick up his self esteem.

TL;DR: Was a child soldier, bitten by a werewolf along with several others, forced to fight the other new werewolves for sport, rescued, sent to an orphanage, adopted to American family, couldn't trust himself not to hurt them and ran away, now loner.

Typical AppearanceAdam on a average day can be seen running around
in every day street clothes, unless just having gone for a run or working on a car. Generally
sticking to jeans and his jacket with his watch to complete it his hair can be a mess depending
how much effort he's actually put in it that day.

elf in the line of fire before anyone else likely more times then anyone is willing to admit and if something
goes wrong he is quick to blame himself all of this is greatly heighten if a hunter so happens to be involved .
He is both street and book smart thanks to his past and to be frank isn't afraid to put anyone in their place
rather they be above him in the ranks or below, he can be very impulsive and has under many circumstances
put someone to a wall and frankly won't hesitate to do it again, often he'll even go to standing up against the
beta and keeping her in line, a foolish move? probably though it likely won't stop any time soon. All this said
hale is a good guy though he can be heavily guarded either to those he doesn't know or his own who he doesn't
want to bother with his problems he will keep several things to himself often only opening up to those closest
to him he does have good intentions and after being previously appointed one to help run the pack in their
troubled times he is more noble, and often will hesitate more when turning away a lone werewolf though don't
let that fool you, if he even has a slight suspicion anyone has ill intentions around his pack he will deal with
them personally. Adam isn't always this serious threatening male however, he often enjoys hanging around with
his packmates when everything is well.. as un-often as that is and still enjoys to live in his youth, partying and
drinking while he can he won't hesitate to give some sarcastic witty remark despite if the times right and can be
quite the large flirt messing with the girls and causing his own trouble when left unsupervised. he has always taken
to learning basic maniacal and handy man skills it quickly turning into a hobby in his down time, someone may as
well know how to fix things in case of a speedy take off.
