somewhat understanding. She's rather hesitant to accept company, and is known to be a bit nervous when
confronted but that won't stop this mare from communicating with her fellow horses. the canyon is her fa
vorite time of the year, though her previous herd disbanded rather quickly. having realized their stallion w
as far from capable at defending them. she's rather hesitant to join another, fearing the same fate for the
new herd. however she's not opposed to the idea, and is hoping to see some of her previous herd members.

though impatient, tyche is a rather flamboyant female. who likes to flaunt her status but isn't as open as
some other mares might be. She's confident in her ability to talk to other mares, but when it comes to st
allions she seems to have lost her touch. She's quick to flee and even quicker to let you know when she's
had enough. She's not opposed to chasing a stallion or nipping one should he get too close. She's also rat
her protective of her space, and tends to stray towards the outside. though the canyon is her favorite e
vent of the year, she despises the close boundaries that sometimes come with the amount of horses that
come along with it. however she's a pleasant herd mare, and likes to chat it up when singled out.

tyche had a rather normal foaling, and was brought into the world in her mothers herd and remained the
re until the herd moved on from the canyon's planes. the stallion's decision to move the herd angered ma
ny of the mares and as such the herd disbanded rather easily, tyche was just old enough to leave when it
occurred so she left like all of the other mares, though her mother was too loyal to do such a thing to her
lead stallion and as such left with him. Tyche has joined one herd, which disbanded when the stallion pro
ved himself incapable of taking care of all of the mares he had snaked or won over. The group had grown
too large and he was consistently battling other colts/stallions who thought the weaker herd would be ea
sy to snake away from him. Tyche and the other mares grew impatient of this and left to roam the plains
solitary until the next canyon season.

mare whose outgoing and friendly. She's confident, kind and doesn't want to cause trouble of any sort.
She's generous, and tends to put others before herself. often wanting everyone else to eat before she
does. She's excited and laughs a lot, and often adds a friendly mood too an otherwise tense situation.

almost innocent, but not quite. eris is quite an eye-catcher. she's generous and gentle, traits taught to
her thanks to her mother. She's also quite friendly, often chatting it up with any horse she lays eyes on
this mare isn't shy in the least. She likes to flirt and bring an airy adventurous style to the herds she
may join. especially since she's basically been a loner the majority of her life. She's confident but is no
stranger to loss or hard work. She's not naive, and if you call her that she'll shrug it off. She's easygoing
but isn't afraid to stand up for herself or others if she feels they're threatened.

eris was raised by her mother chamomile until she was old enough to be on her own. originally she chose
to stay with her mother, because that was the only horse she really knew. until a pack of coyotes manage
d to snag her mother's near-frail form out on the grasslands. they chased eris down into the canyon, but
chose not to follow her down into the depths of the ancient place. eris had never seen the canyon, and
didn't have a whole lot interactions with her fellow horses. her mother had never brought eris to the ca
nyon, believing it far too dangerous for eris. Her mother was right. A lone horse in a known cougar area
isn't the best combination, and it wasn't long before eris was being pursued by a starving cougar who was
desperate for food. In an act of desperation the cougar managed to land on eris's back, which prompted
the young mare to roll over and crush it. She won the fight in the end but not before she had alerted prac
tically the entire canyon. she fled the canyon and swore she'd never return there ever again. now she's
breaking her promise, for the sake of her mother who had joined a herd. and natural instincts which prom
pt her to do so. she feels she'll be safer with a large number of horses as opposed to just herself.

and witty female who says what she wants when she wants too. she's tolerant but rather rude anyway.
plethora has little filter if any, and doesn't seem to care who she offends so long as she gets her way.
being bossy and a bit of a bully isn't all that bad in her eyes, and she could care less what other mares
think of her so long as she can flirt with as many stallions as possible. she has no objections to settling
down but is hesitant to do so, as she quite enjoys the games she can play with a stallion, and how hard
she can really throw their confidence. she's been around the canyon long enough that most know she's
just a big flirt, however this year she is actually looking to settle down and find a good stallion. many
are hopeful she'll actually learn some manners if she decides to settle down, though that's doubtful.

though rude, plethora is a cocky and rather over-confident mare. She's flamboyant and a bit of a rough
nail if you ask literally any other horse. she's tough and will make sure you know it, she bears the scars
of her past and thoughts of the future and isn't opposed to sharing a few sarcastic words of her own.
immensely enjoying heated arguments, plethora will go around starting some if she must. a drama
queen in her own right, she's got a mouth to prove it. she can't seem to hold her tongue really, and
many pity the stallion who she chooses to settle with. plethora can care less about rumors or reality.

plethora had a fairly regular foalhood, and joined the canyon with her mother's herd at an early age
watching the stallions court the females it was always fascinating to the female. however once her
mother died due to an accident that she blames upon the lead stallion, she's despised joining a herd.
reminded far too much of her mother, plethora left the herd (through little protest) and became a
loner who had to fight the hardships that came with it. especially come winter. there were a few
times where she nearly died, but after a few years of being a loner plethora got the gist of it and is
a loner to this day. until this years canyon in which she hopes to secure her spot in a herd.
