Why Mouseheart should go: Mouseheart would want to go on his own accord because he's desperate to prove himself and StarPack would probably choose him just so that he could find his true place, considering his discontent with being an omega - plus, Mouseheart is quite brave for his size and would help keep the group on track.

Why Duskpelt should go: Duskpelt knows what to do in any dangerous situation and she isn't afraid to speak her mind or listen to her own thoughts. Because of growing up a pack dog she was able to be constantly active and work every muscle in her body. She is indeed smart and intelligent, and is ready to lead if she has to.

Why Birchpaw should go: Birchpaw is kinder than most Shadowpack dogs, and isn't that excited over fighting other dogs. He is one of the few in Shadowpack that would want to end this war between the remaining three packs, and bring back the two packs that would be able to stop it.

Why Nightsight should go: Nightsight is fearless, devoted, and level-headed. She is a truly bold dog not afraid of any situation no matter how dangerous it is. She keeps a level-head though, so when things start going wrong she stays calm. She thrives under pressure, and she can face any danger that might befall her or her pack. Makeing her a natural leader, that could poteintianlly lead the group of dogs for the Prophecy.

Why Lupinpaw should go: Lupinpaw is naive and young, so he would probably leave a dying SkyPack to find a better home for them (probably without permission), and StarPack would want to aid the youth of one of the banished Packs forget their arrogance and learn that it is okay to accept help from others and that they need to do so to save their families

Why Mischief should go: She is prone to acting and reacting on impulse. She would help out the Skypack, just so she could gain favor from them. She doesn't exactly know when to quit, and she tends to push her luck almost constantly. Even if other dogs said no to her she would fail to see the authority, and go on her anyways.

Oooo. This list looks a lot better with explanations. I would suggest, though, having a dog that’s grounded? There’s a lot of emotional dogs and nobody to keep them in check. Pure Impulse and thinking with your heart not your head is only good in moderation. I don’t remember their name but there was a dog on there before in shadowpack(?) that would’ve been a good choice. I’m just worried that with so little levelheadedness that it’ll do more harm than good. I don’t agree with all choices but they could be cut down to size with someone like that

It's good that you don't agree with some dogs, I don't expect everyone to be totally supportive of all of the dogs.

Now that you are pointing it out, I'm also realizing that you're right, there needs to be some order.

@ leaves, that's alright! His Pack has just returned home, so Stagstar has too by extension; maybe he can discuss what he has learned about the other Packs with Copperskip, or hunt, or sleep (considering the Packs were out all night). Also, I'll change Stagstar's link to be to this new form you made.

@ DrMoneyBags, no, ThunderPack doesn't have a beta. I edit the allegiances pretty much instantaneously after new dogs join or leave, so they should be accurate. Also, I agree that there should be a more grounded member of the "prophecy team." I'd suggest Nightfire, but I already have two dogs being considered and I don't think that that would be fair.

@ Owlcat, thanks for putting together this great list! I agree with you and flamingember, too; there should be a RiverPack contribution.

@ flamingember, yup! Mistrust and civil war, pretty much. Imagine how unstable Pack life should be once it is realized that they can be forced away at any given time. Plus, what's really cool is that the Packs would probably react in different ways:

ShadowPack: Velvetstar runs ShadowPack and she's the one being directly manipulated by Bristlestar into believing that the other Packs are conspiring with her, so, by extension, ShadowPack would probably become hostile to both other Packs. ShadowPack values independence from the other Packs and they're quite aggressive by nature, so they'd probably suck at simply talking things out and would become more secretive. Plus, if anyone has any characters that are vicious enough to do so, maybe they could actually support the ideals of the late Bristlestar, since she did take the Pack back to its roots during her reign, and directly oppose Velvetstar, creating a rift in ShadowPack between those that are loyal to her and those that want the era that her mother had brought.

WindPack: Due to wariness of an increasingly aggressive ShadowPack, Stagstar's leadership may be challenged because he is so small for an alpha and the subordinates want a leader that they know can defend them. Warriors would be afraid to leave camp, due to the fact that their pups don't have dens to protect them, which would eventually lead to them becoming underfed. In fact, maybe they decide to start hiding the pups and elders in the tunnel systems occupied by the tunneler warriors, which I imagine would probably tick them off and fuel the rivalry between the two factions in WindPack.

ThunderPack: ThunderPack is kind and morally selfless, for the most part, so they might be tempted to interfere with the conflicts of the other two Packs, which wouldn't be appreciated at all and would probably just cause more conflict. Also, they have superior access to the territory left by SkyPack and RiverPack, which is another reason for their rivals to hate them.

@ leaves, you're, of course, allowed to RP him into whatever developments you'd like, but I personally wouldn't think so. When his old roleplayer controlled him, Stagstar seemed like the proud but insecure type. When he was teased by Velvetstar at the Gathering for his small stature, he immediately tried to defend himself with logic, and he became flustered and annoyed when she implied that he was Cloudtuft's mate - plus, he came into the Gathering trying to stand taller because he didn't want to seem too short in front of everyone. He seemed to take pride when he stood on a high place with the other leaders, overlooking the Pack dogs. Interestingly, he also displayed sympathy to Velvetstar when she announced ShadowPack's lack of a deputy and medicine dog, even though she had been teasing him moments before. If those examples of what kind of character he was don't help, I'd sum it up as him being a generally kind and shy dog that takes pride in his accomplishments, but is also very aware of the opinions of others.
