* her fur glistened in the suns gorgeous rays as her eyes met his. his heart hammered in his chest as she shot him a sly smile. despite not knowing her or ever interacting her, he fell hard and fast. it took weeks for him to muster up the courage to speak with the pretty she cat from outside the borders, but when he did he was greeted by her light and fluffy voice. he came each and everyday, almost always neglecting his duties for his clan as his apprentice self was swallowed whole by his crush. it was later, when he became a warrior that he had asked for her to be his mate and to his demise she had accepted. he figured he would be fine with this secret relationship.

* this went on for weeks, Tatterednight was wedged into his own mind ignoring his clan mates entirely. upon happily greeting his clan mates, he was only given odd looks and harsh glares. him being a young egotistical male, he had not thought anything other of it, until the moon was at its fullest and his clan was called into a meeting. there his mate sat, next to the leader with her fur practically shining in the moons soft light, but something was wrong. the leader gave thanks to their new clan mate, the leaders new mate, that was already pregnant with his kits. the she cat, who tattered swore he loved, had went against him. her eyes met his as the next words forever echoed in his head, due to neglecting clan rules and duties, tattered was kicked from his own clan. not a single soul had stood up to help him. not even his family.

* for weeks he had wondered alone in search for others with a similar history to his own, but none had appeared before him forcing him to only wonder deeper into unknown territory. its when he had woken to soft voices below did he realized he wondered into a new clans territory. the now broken tom was quickly taken in after admitting his faults about his last clan and choose to be better than he was before. ever since that heart break the male cannot look at love as the sweet and innocent thing it was suppose to be.
