☽ for the most part, aku keeps to himself. he's not the kind to seek
out companionship willingly, a bit asocial, he tends to go
throughout his daily life by himself and doing things on his own.
his head in the clouds, it's not often his mind is quiet, always
buzzing with thoughts about one thing or another with no real
peace and quiet. aku is a bit snappy, having a tongue made of
knives and a sort of temperamental attitude, making him easy to
irritate and thus fun to toy with if one doesn't fear him from his
quiet but foreboding aura. while often mean-sounding, he is not
mean-hearted, actually a gentle soul who just doesn't know how to
get his feelings across in a healthy or proper way. soft, he does
desire companionship in some shape or form, though he would
never verbalize this, both out of embarrassment and just from not
knowing how. he's a bit hard on himself, getting frustrated with
himself easily if he doesn't perform as he expects himself to,
though not nearly as hard on others despite his cold tones and his
inability to express warm approval. incredibly patient with others,
he does his best to be understanding, though his easy-to-rile
emotions often get in the way of his judgement, and he feels guilty
for yelling at others when they don't deserve it. apologizing is a
difficult feat for him, and quite embarrassing and damaging to his
pride, though he will force himself to do it if necessary. as harsh
as he is, he in no way intends to make enemies and tries to keep
that at a minimum, though he doesn't take antagonizing lightly and
has no problems deepening a rift that others build between them. ☽

☽ aku was born to two well-known people, both heroes in their own
respects. they had trouble with conceiving, a bunch of
miscarriages and birth defects visible in the womb making getting
pregnant and carrying a healthy child a nightmare. when aku was
conceived, it was skeptical he would be birthed, and once he was
born, no one believed that he would live beyond a few weeks. born
with a myriad of health issues, he was somehow spared any
immediate life-threatening defects, and surprisingly thrived
much to his parents excitement. an only child, he lived a lonely
life, his parents often busy with their work as heroes and either
leaving him with sitters, or alone once he got old enough to care
for himself, so he ended up raising himself for most of his life.
while understanding of his parents situations and that they love
him dearly, he couldn't help but be consumed with dark thoughts,
being left alone way too often for way too long. not enough time
with his parents stunted his social development, and he struggled
to make friends, kids often not wanting to be around those who are
socially awkward and timid. as the years went by he grew
unbothered by the loneliness, altering his lifestyle to such an
isolating existence, though as he got older, he also began to act
out a bit due to the stunted emotional development. jeopardizing
his parents' careers with his sharp tongue and, now, his fists, they
ended up sending him off to live on his own to attend a more elite
and vigorous school in the hopes that it would mellow him out, not
quite understanding that this all could be mended by them coming
home earlier and taking the time to eat dinner with him, and
not quite aware of what school would actually be recruiting him. ☽

☽ aku's quirk is called 'wolf of the moon'. an odd blend between a
mutation quirk and an emitter quirk, the most noticeable part of it
is that it gives him wolf or canine-like features, such as prominent
canines, harder and sharper nails, thicker hair, and the most easy
to see, ears and tail. it alters his body in a bit that can't be see,
such as enhanced sight, especially in the dark or at night,
enhanced sense of smell, different muscle composition, along with
some behavioral alterations that is more like an animal's instead of
a human's. he's a bit stronger than 'a typical human' without
activating his quirk, to which he harnesses the power of the moon,
either healing others or knocking people back with strong
emissions of light or lunar energy, though it works best if he is in
direct contact with the rays of the moon, where, kind of like a
werewolf, he is empowered by the presence of the moon and gains
a bit more of an animalistic quality to himself. if he overuses his
quirk, he comes exhausted and fatigued, and needs to absorb the
moon's rays before being able to use it again. an odd blend
between his parents' quirks, which has to do with lunar
manipulation and a transformation wolf quirk. [wip; will

☽ aku's faceclaim is ayato kirishima from tokyo ghoul. he has longer
indigo hair, thick and quite close to fur in texture, with a set of wolf
ears on his head a similar shade. his eyes are a silvery-blue that
tend to look as if they're glowing [and actually glow in the
dark/moonlight], thinner and canine-like in shape, with pale skin
decorated in a bit scarring, mostly from multiple surgeries
throughout his lifetime. he's about five-five in height, a bit shorter
than average, and not all that heavy, with a thick-furred wolf tail
sitting behind him.

aku tends to wear a bit of silver, be it in the form of piercings or
necklaces and bracelets. he dresses in darker colored clothes,
often long and flowing, with a cloak he never goes anywhere
without, as he uses it to hide his tail and ears, as if embarrassed
by them. he keeps his body covered at all times and dislikes
exposing his own skin, summer being his least favorite season, as
he has to wear appropriate clothes, heat exhaustion being too
deadly for him for to risk.
akin to lie ren's volume four attire, he exposes only his shoulders
in his hero outfit, wearing long pants, thick boots, a muscle top,
and fingerless gloves that end about mid upper arm, combines
with a long cloak that ends at his heel with a hood that drapes
over his face, specialized to capture moonlight easier than normal
wear [similar to how solar panels work, but for lunar light] and
allow him easier access to it. ☽

☽ a few of the disorders aku is afflicted with are
-sickle cell anemia, where red blood cells contort into a sickle
shape. the cells die early, leaving a shortage of healthy red blood
cells, and can block blood flow causing pain
-cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disease that affects the lungs and
digestive system. the body produces thick and sticky mucus that
can clog the lungs and obstruct the pancreas
-and hemophilia, where blood doesn't clot normally because it
lacks sufficient blood-clotting proteins ☽

quirk; kazuya's quirk is called dark acid manipulation. dark acid man-
ipulation is a quirk that allows him to project a black acid from his
eyes. this acid takes on a dark form and is very powerful, easily bei-
ng able to eat through anything in its path and quickly. despite th-
is being a powerful quirk it does not mean it has its downfalls. alth-
ough he is immune to his own acid, over-use of his quirk can cause
a painful burning sensation in his eyes, along with temporary blind-
ness. His quirk is also hard to aim and nothing to help with the aim
can be made due to, once again, the acid being so powerful.

appearance; kazuya has soft, copper blonde hair that frames
his face and in the back reaches just above the middle of his neck.
kazuya has long, thick eyelashes that surround his brown eyes that
have a slight pink tint to them. the whites of his eyes often have
a pink hue to them due to the irritation from his quirk and some-
times even dark acid stains can be seen below his eyes, because his
skin is pretty pale. kazuya dresses casual, usually with t-shirts and
skinny jeans. once in a while he will put on a collared shirt though.
kazuya usually wears dark colors because if he were to wear white,
it could get stained by his quirk.

costume; kazuyas costume consists of all black. his costume
is basically just a black shirt that is fitted to his body along with bl-
ack pants and boots that possess a bit of a platform, but the special
thing about it is the material. the material is made of a acid resistant
cloth that is also mixed in with PTFE, which is a plastic that is also re-
silient to acid. Despite all the precautions, his shirt still does have
some holes in it, but it ends up just making it look grungy.

history; kazuya was born into a resentful family that he was never
able to truly belong in. he grew up having to do a lot of things on
his own and never had a mother or father figure to help him alon-
g the way. he wasnt sure why his parents acted the way they did
towards him, all he knew is that he was painfully alone. in school
he was constantly bullied for having feminine features and was o-
nly to make one friend, but that friend soon left the school and h-
e was left to deal with his troubles alone once again. when he re-
ached middle school things were no different than they were bef-
ore. there was a point when he had had enough, and this is when
his quirk came to front. in anger he inadvertently activated his
quirk and injured one of his bullies. thankfully, the quirk hadn't
reached its full strength yet, so the person got off with minor bu-
rns. nevertheless, he was still expelled from the school. his pare-
nts were beyond furious and after this incident, sent him to live
with his wealthy aunt in washington. he lived the rest of his life
with his aunt, although he wasnt happy whatsoever. he got into
a lot of fights at school because of his short temper and was sus-
pended many times. It wasnt him who decided he wanted to be-
come a hero, but his aunt who basically forced him.

quirk Super Nova
An explosive quirk, the person has freckles and spots around their skin that glow constantly. Akara can peel the freckles off after a certain severity of the glow that turns into a small light hovering above ground; They can also fall off on their own if they are as big as a pebble. To activate the light into harmful bombs, Akara’s eyes will glow to a bright shade of azure before it detonates. The ‘stars’ are packed with mostly helium and hydrogen that can explode if tampered with.

weakness
The second the 'stars' come off Akara's skin, they lack the control of how harmful the stars can be. They are also extremely noticeable being constantly bright, even on Akara. Akara, themselves, are also victim to the star's explosions although being able to withstand them better than other opponents. However Akara has slow adaptation to the dark having been used to seeing bright lights.

personality
Akara is quiet and level-headed, always calculating on their moves and others. Due to this, they are quite reserved and shy from socialising and tend to stay focus on their tasks and work. Although, if being pushed or manipulative at, they will snap snarky remarks and have an aggressive attitude. They don’t like being prodded or having someone in their business but needless to say, they do want to help in the hero business. Although the cold greetings aren’t so helpful to the cause. Akara have some conflict in their emotions, often bottling it as they don't know what else to do with it, so they try to keep a straight face and think things thoroughly. Nevertheless, they are observant, level-headed, and have a well understanding of their choices.

history
Born in a middle-class household, Akara's parents push them straight to studies as soon as they were able to write. They were forced to mature quickly and was unable to discover their personality which caused drifts in school from their classmates. Despite the rush of studies, Akara's family is warm in a way where their parents would always shower them with love and praise when they do what they were told or exceeded their studies along with their siblings. It caused a competitive atmosphere in the household as Akara and their 3 older siblings would fight for attention they were starved from in childhood.
It slowly upset Akara as they grew over time, comparing their home life to other students and the competitive need for attention- They didn't have the attention nor proper time to find themselves before being pushed around by their parents; It slowly bottled the emotions inside them. By the time they were in middle school, they begin to venture down harmful paths and developed a harsh attitude. It was during this time that they discovered their own quirk to a higher extent where they can cause explosions. After being caught in neglecting their parents' rules, they had a heated argument which ended with Akara spilling their anger and accidentally exploding a chair. Shocked, the parents sent them to a boarding school for the rest of middle school in hopes of discipline and more control in their quirk. They were barely in touch with their parents and their siblings completely closed off from them.


appearance
The most noticeable feature about Akara is their sharp, azure eyes that glow dimly when their quirk is not activated. Freckled across their caramel skin are small dots in different shades of pale blues to icy whites. Although not as bright as their eyes, they glow in the dark. Their hair, however, is coal black with a soft teal shade at the ends of their hair. They have long bangs that cover half of their face and the edge of their eyes with strands in the middle; However they tie their hair into a small bun apart from the bangs. Akara is 5'5 and has a graceful touch of a ballerina's. They are lean with a more athletic lower body. In casual clothing, they prefer to wear a simple, low-cut shirt under a grey, worn hoodie with shorts. Sweatpants at night, however, they don't enjoy drawing in unnecessary attention.

Skin tight in shades of the evening sky, they wear a sleeveless tank-top and long leggings. They wear long, flexible boots styled like a ballet slipper that dark violet. Wrapped around their collar and waist are silver ribbons similar to Aizawa's designed to capture or launch their 'stars' at a direction. They wear a black masquerade mask detailed with silver lines and edged with gold dots.
