The epitome of bipolar, Kodiak is typically rather charming, but frequently has bursts of sensitivity and sadness, making her a bad small-talker, not very fun to talk to in a casual manner, and sort of unreliable, due to the fact that her shifting emotions heavily sway how she reacts to things. She generally tries to remain optimistic because of this, as she never knows when a hard truth might deliver a brutal hit or she'll say something that she'll regret. She is fiercely protective of those that she cares for, but is ruthless when faced with enemies. Kodiak prefers to put others before herself, to her own detriment. She is pensive and introspective, though she does a poor job of communicating her thoughts and likes to keep them to herself, as they will take away from her reputation. She can be very self-conscious and tries to make herself look good as often as possible, though she isn't particularly arrogant. Above all else, Kodiak's defining flaw is that she handles negative emotions notoriously poorly; when stressed, in one of her sad moods, or frustrated, her usual friendliness disappears beneath a wave of unrelenting - and unpredictable - aggression. Be warned: Do not push her too far - she WILL snap.

Kodiak is a recent addition to Los Puros. She was born to Brute, a feral Rottweiler, and Harvey, a gentle, domesticated Newfoundland. Initially, she and her mother began living with Harvey in his humans' home, but Brute just couldn't warm up to them and escaped to live in the wild once more, with her newly-named pup, Kodiak, following close behind. Hardly had she begun to adjust to the wild when confrontational Brute was killed by Las Sombras dogs, for she still smelled of humans and they assumed that she was a house dog, which they disliked. They nearly killed Kodiak for the same reason, but reluctantly let her go in the end. Just as she was beginning to succumb to her wounds, she was found and taken in by Los Puros, as they did approve of house dogs. Kodiak gradually began to love her new pack, but found out that they despise crossbreeds, and only accepted her because they're under the belief that she is a purebred Rottweiler. Therefore, because she doesn't want to be exiled from a pack that she's sworn to protect, she keeps her heritage a secret. However, she looks more like a Newfoundland as she grows older, and concealing her bloodline is becoming more challenging.

As her name implies, Mellow is easygoing and gentle, despite her breed. She is extremely slow to anger, and even when she is angry, her fury never goes beyond the slightly ruffled. Though this makes her affable and easy to work with, it also means that she is too trusting, too forgiving, and doesn't take things as seriously as other dogs, which can be very frustrating to those that view her as a teammate. As sweet as she is, Mellow develops a fiery dedication to whatever she becomes passionate about, whether it's another dog or a hobby. She hates seeing others upset and will go to great lengths to cheer them up, even if it means that she humiliates herself or impulsively says something stupid. Due to her non-confrontational nature, she struggles with standing up for herself and is often the yielding dog in arguments. Mellow is somewhat naive, due to her intense desire to believe the best in others, but she is also pretty smart and can think tactically.

Mellow, despite not having the signature missing left ear, has been a Temido dog for her entire life. She was abandoned as a young pup and would've died, had it not been for Los Temidos, who nursed her back to health and accepted her as one of their own. For that, she is eternally grateful and can look past some of the gang's harsher aspects in order to fit in. However, due to her being a generally kind and lighthearted dog, she is often at odds with her more solemn, aggressive pack and has to get by on raw charm. She has tried, and continues to try, tirelessly to prove herself to her superiors in the hopes of being accepted as a full-fledged member of the gang, which is appreciated, but does little to dissuade her low status as an outcast. Though the idea of getting her left ear chewed off is intimidating, she eagerly awaits it because it will signal acceptance of her at last.

If there is one thing that Mei is known for, it is her cool-headed nature - however, in actuality, she cares a whole lot more than she lets on. She has a powerful drive to defend those weaker than herself, though she sure doesn't like showing it and covers it up with her aloofness. She's quite the perfectionist - which is most definitely why she is so quiet, as it gives her the opportunity to think of what to say when the time comes - so disorder is her greatest pet peeve, and she can't stand wasting time, with a need to always be occupied with something important or meaningful. Despite that she doesn't particularly like socializing, since she can come off as pretty intimidating, she is a leader at heart and has a bit of a rebellious streak, with a sense of pride that most dogs cannot breach. She tries to avoid acting vulnerably and has a difficult time understanding the emotions of others as well, which coincides with her overly-logical approach to everything, and she believes that feelings only muddle things up. Because she has such a powerful instinct to protect her pack, she views strangers trying to be accepted into it as dangerous and it rubs Mei the wrong way; trusting new faces is a challenge for her, though she does make an effort if she sees the necessity of it.

The infamously quiet and aloof Mei wasn't always the way she is; when she was a pup, she was quite the loudmouth, with an obnoxiously potent drive to prove herself to her packmates. She was born to Jaws, a captain of Las Sombras, and Checkers, who was another Kangal Shepherd, though contrastingly more domesticated, and guarded a distant farm with his humans. Not long after she was born, Mei's mother confessed to the gang that the barn dog was the father of her pup. Due to the tight-knit nature of the pack, she was allowed to remain, but her leader forbade her from seeing Checkers again. For a while, things went on as normal, but Mei discovered that her mother was meeting Checkers in secret. Being the squealing pup she was, she confessed to the pack that Jaws was deceiving them and she was demoted to an Unproven because of it. Feeling that her relationship with Checkers was more important than her connection to a pack she didn't feel that she belonged to, Jaws confided in her pup about going to live with him in his humans' barn as a second pet, an idea that Mei vigorously opposed, and she invited her to come with her. Of course, Mei pridefully refused, and the loss of her mother to humans left her incredibly bitter towards both them and house pets, though that hatred has simmered down over time and she has come to regret her refusal to give her mother a proper sendoff. Regardless, she has become a loyal and trusted, if not slightly unnerving, full-fledged member of Las Sombras.

Known mostly as just a pest by the resident dog gangs due to her speed, cunning, and habit of stealing prey from their territories, there are few who know Silhouette on a personal level, and those that do may not find the experience especially rewarding; snarky, self-serving, and unbelievably introverted and socially awkward, bonding with her is no easy task and she views it as a waste of time. She is highly intelligent and is prone to intricate scheming; oftentimes, when she is ignoring everything and saying nothing for just a few moments, she is thinking up a complex plan and anyone unfortunate enough to accompany her has no idea what she is doing or how it is going to work until she has already done it. She lacks etiquette and can be rather rude, even if she doesn't have ill intent. She never means to hurt the feelings of others, but she is so sarcastic, so lighthearted in speech, so happy to joke, and so bad at consoling that she can say completely awful things without even realizing how horrible they sound, unless the victim reacts negatively. She is highly elusive and distrustful, due to her pessimistic nature, and she nearly always feels a whole lot worse than she'll mention allowed. She is prone to anxiety attacks, but keeps it to herself, as she doesn't want to display weakness to potentially dangerous dogs. Silhouette prefers to stick to familiarity, so she isn't very adventurous and bears intense hydrophobia, both because she lacks experience with water and because her awkward body shape is much better for fast running than swimming. Also, she gets bored easily.

There really isn't much to say about Silhouette's early life - or, how her family referred to her at the time, "Silhou". She was born to Wonder, a lowly stray female, alongside a single sister, Luminous. As she grew older, she became irritated with Luminous's playfulness and Wonder's nagging, domineering instinct, so she left to live on her own as soon as possible. Though she has been in contact with all of them on multiple occasions, she has no association with any of the three resident dog gangs, and her tendency to hunt on their land and then outrun anyone who confronts her has put her at odds with each. Thus, she is viewed as a pest by virtually everyone.
