actually putting it here because this is a discussion thread and it's a lot
Sasha is gullible and well meaning, even while meaning well for all people his dislike or discontent with people is also present. He will never without reason or just cause attack another, but he does find friends in the darkness, his partner and first real friend is Nyx after all. Nyx is a very passive creature as I imagine, he is neither evil or bad, nor necessarily good despite back then the elements in some shape or form defended (I am assuming) humankind form the legendary elements. When he sought out the element user that would be bonded with him and he would mean to teach, he also sought a friend or someone to entertain him with their presence. Nyx has made a loyal, respectable relationship with Sasha and is quite chill but also mysterious and vague. He does not actively seek out to help the people (humankind) he and the guardians are to protect. He himself has been isolated and simply seeks to enjoy guiding and watching Sasha on whatever he asks and aid him and that is it (teaching him to protect himself and be discreet included). His moral compass in short, is not very clear, and this will likely have him disliked if not unpopular by the other elemental guardians/creatures who are firm in their task (protecting the world from the Legendary powers).
With that said Nyx would not be against Sasha being sucked into the Occult as long as that is what Sasha wants to do. Though for a time Sasha is going to be unsure if being in the Occult is the right place for him. Nyx can only guide and advise him while Sasha learns as time goes on about this matter. Assuming that the elements, or at least Nyx, is unaware of the Occults goal (to hunt down all the elements and get them to join (or die)) Nyx will take an interest in how they are performing their abilities as he would not sense any elemental aura or however that works immediately. Except he would slowly and surely learn and realize their power comes from Death himself (and I believe also form Hell). This deduction would lead Nyx to understand that they are awake, and presumably the rest of the Legendries.
Even before this however, Sasha likely enjoys the people who might be seen as odd or different than normal people because to him those normal people are the ones who mark him out just like these occult people. Meaning he already feels some kind of connection to them, though this connection may be entirely from his imagination. If how he first meets the occult is not them burning down houses or any other forms of violence, he is likely to be more interested to join. If he just happens to meet someone who is not judgmental and seems relatively “nice, kind” and they invite him to the occult, he is more likely to take them up on the offer. These are just some ways for him to get his foot in the door, I am open to other ways.
Now knowing what I do or think I do about the occult and my characters; Sasha will likely come up with the questions as follows;
- Why do they worship death/Lucifer – I have always been taught he was bad?
- Is he [Death/Lucifer] bad? Why? What makes him Bad? What makes him not Bad?
- Does the Occult hurt people?
I can see him being manipulated that something like this be explained ot him, whether it is true or not is not the point, it is to bull crap Sasha into believing in their cause (which can also be lied about)
“We worship him because he is the truth, not all demons and monsters are horrible creatures, they have hearts and souls just like us and it is often us lower beings that believe we are the most advanced and important species that act like the labels of demons and monsters.” [Sasha would believe this as he has experienced this first hand and is a good way to start playing on his heart strings, he is already going to feel like he belongs. From this we have also already painted Lucifer in a good light as crazy as it sounds]
“Now we do not hurt people-“ [this can be a total lie, it would just be important if the occult cared enough, they would not let Sasha know they indeed will hurt people] “-but we will defend ourselves if we must. Not everyone is very keen on change, much less changing the views of something they have been taught is wrong or do not yet understand.”
Now in regards to the Occult hunting down the elements I can also see Sash being manipulated to actually aid in this.
“We are actually looking for more special people like yourself, though they not might be as willing to hear us out.” Sasha may take initiative to help find the other elements FOR the occult if this is played right.
Albeit there of course is Nyx, Nyx knows the elements are to protect mankind, Nyx knows of the resentment to the humankind by the legendries. Nyx knows that this place seemingly worships either Death and Hell or some kind of thing that involves them. Finding and bringing the elements to them might not be such a good idea and he will actively express his concerns on this matter. Sasha convinced that the Occult means well however will rebuttal just as consistently.
I will leave this here for now as it is a lot and I would like your thoughts on it. (everyone involved)
But like I said, am working on a site for the game so there can be more info, so will just make it there, and still link it. Just will take a while as have not made a site in a while, and trying to decide what site I wanna use to make it. Anywho, again, want to start Wednesday, but may be sooner if I'm about to not hold out. Haha.
I’m pretty open with ideas and plots as long as they follow rules or do not go over boundaries (example, that may be waved later on, Water can also control Wind....again, good plot idea, so can be waved).
