- peter benjamin parker only ever gave up once in his life, and it was because he couldn't protect her. peter grew up loved, left to the custody of his aunt and uncle when his parents were killed. ver the next nine years, Parker grew to be extremely bright in science and graduated as valedictorian from midtown. he was bitten by a radioactive spider at a public exhibition demonstrating the safe handling of nuclear laboratory waste materials, which gave him his abilities. at one point he failed to apprehend a thief that would later kill his uncle ben and light a fire under him. originally, he didn't go for the hero approach, instead landing a job at a magazine. it was around this time that he met mary jane, who he dated through college and would later marry. peter was accepted to and graduated from empire university with a degree in biochemistry, all the while still fighting crime as spider-man. he and mj were married shortly after he graduated, but after a few years they divorced because peter wasn't sure he could protect her and the child she wanted.

i. peter developed the web fluid he uses himself, working with 90's tech in his bedroom in high school.
ii. peter is allergic to peanuts, cornflower, and mold. the peanut allergy is bad enough that it could be fatal.
iii. you can't let him fool you - he's great with children, especially the really little ones. he just likes to pretend.
iv. peter's biochemistry degree allowed him to take an internship with dr. curt connors, or the lizard.
he and the human part of dr. connors are still great friends, even if peter has to battle him back sometimes.
