abilities: as well as being able to wield the iron man suits, tony is a technological genius, inventor, and businessman who has an arsenal of technological knowledge at his disposal. he has two masters' degrees in engineering and physics and is an expert in weapons and nanotechnology.
personality: tony's infamous for being a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist, though these days playboy is a bit farther off the mark, considering he's married to ceo of stark industries, pepper potts. he tends to be egotistical, brash, and difficult to get along with, as many geniuses are, but post-civil war he's been more responsible and has taken accountability for his actions. he's still a pain to work with at times, but has become more of a team player and is widely known as being a fantastic leader for the avengers. when it comes to training the future avengers, tony's eager to provide the instruction necessary to leave the team in good hands when he's no longer around, since the last thing he wants to do is leave the world without avengers to fight for them.

Abilities: Due to an attempt to recreate the super soldier serum with gamma rays, Bruce has a separate personality named "the Hulk" that comes out when he is angry, stressed, or in perceived danger. The Hulk is a large, green behemoth with little intelligence and extreme rage. The angrier he gets, the stronger he is. On top of that, every transformation generates extreme cellular regeneration, meaning Bruce and the Hulk are at peak condition after every transformation. It is nigh impossible for them to sustain wounds, let alone scars.

The Hulk has superstrength, superspeed, and superdurability. These abilities come at the cost of Bruce's intelligence. The Hulk is capable of fractured sentences and the barest of logic, often in the form of "Hulk no like, Hulk smash!" The Avengers reserve using the Hulk for "Code Green" scenarios: serious battles where the Hulk can smash to his heart's content without worrying about collateral damage. While Banner's control has strengthened over the years, there's still the possibility that the Hulk may not recognize one of his teammates or a civilian and attack them.

Bruce Banner has stated he has seven PhD's, although why someone would want to go to grad school for that long is beyond me. His main field is Radiophysics, and he was known as one of the top in his field on gamma radiation before the accident. Tony Stark commented on his work on Nuclear Physics, and Banner has mentioned his degree in Biochemistry multiple times. While on the run in India, Banner gained enough experience to act as a medical doctor, and is often the first doctor for the Avengers, although he laments that he is "not that kind of doctor."

While on the run, Banner learned conversational Hindi, Punjabi, Malay, and passable Spanish and Portuguese. He picked up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, meditative breathing techniques, and developed a love for tea and vegetarian food (as meat is expensive outside of the first world). He also learned how to hide from the government.

Personality: The Hulk’s personality is rather simple, akin to a small child. He is very self-centered, prone to extreme emotions (mostly anger, but also fear, envy, and sadness) and slow to learn. The Hulk watches the world through Bruce’s eyes and memories most of the time, but understands little. He is envious of Bruce for being the “main” personality and angry that Bruce keeps him locked away for fear of the Hulk hurting others. The Hulk lets these emotions get to the best of him, sometimes blocking their transformations when Bruce wants to but the Hulk is sulking.

The Hulk loves fighting, exercise, nature, and attention. However, he has just enough emotional intelligence to realize that most of humanity still hates him and sees him as a rage monster. Because of this, the Hulk tries to avoid humanity by hiding inside Banner or in nature.

Bruce used to be a friendly, eccentric scientist with a bit of a temper. After the accident, he withdrew into a quiet man with more meditative techniques than the average monk. He stockpiles herbal teas and classical music alongside deadly tranquilizers. He walks on his own eggshells, constantly afraid of what “the Other Guy” could do. Bruce didn’t let himself get close to anyone for fear of what could happen to them if he got angry. Natasha wormed his way into his heart by accident, but he still managed to hurt people, and regrets letting someone get close again.

Bruce does his best to imagine the Hulk as another person living inside of him—and in a way, he is—but deep down, he secretly knows that the Hulk was once a part of his personality, but split off because of the accident. For all intents and purposes, Robert Bruce Banner has Dissociative Identity Disorder, with “Bruce” being the main identity and most recognizable, and “the Hulk” as a secondary, smaller personality.

Iron Man - Longtime friend and “Science Bro”, Tony Stark was one of the first and only people to look past the Hulk and see the man. At first his ego and bad attitude annoyed Bruce, but he was quickly able to see past Tony’s playboy mask and appreciate his friendship. The two can often be found conducting mad science in their shared lab space. The Hulk also appreciates “Tin Man”, although his science ramblings go way over Hulk’s head.
Scarlet Witch - After using the Hulk to destroy Johannesburg, Bruce lost any ability to trust Wanda. He is able to be polite with her, but will never consider the witch anything more than a begrudging ally.
White Wolf - Bruce shares an odd companionship with Bucky that can only be found among people who consider themselves a monster. Bruce understands what it’s like to wake up somewhere with no idea of how you got there or who you hurt. Bruce also vowed to not ‘get in the way’ of Bucky’s new relationship with Natasha even though it hurts.
Coincidentally, Hulk suddenly decided he hates the “Metal Wolf Man” and wishes to smash him, even if he’s a teammate. The Hulk doesn’t know why he feels this way...
Captain America - One of the few people the Hulk will listen to in battle, along with Iron Man and Black Widow. Bruce respects the national icon, although he lost some respect during the Civil War because he believes there should ever be team infighting.
Black Panther - A respectable king who tries to always see the man, not his bad actions.
Spider-Man - Bruce really likes the kid for his brains and optimistic personality. He hopes Peter is able to keep that point of view for as long as possible.
Black Widow - They once were a couple. Part of Bruce still loves Natasha, but another part still remembers how she used him to control the Hulk during the fight with Ultron, and he can’t live with yet another person trying to control the Hulk, even for the greater good. This broke Bruce’s heart, and he broke up with her by running away to space.
The Hulk is heartbroken too, but he’s able to look past her actions and is still in love with Natasha.
Hawkeye - Bruce respects what might be the best non-mutant archer alive. He also considers him a friend, but they don’t have much in common.
Thor - Bruce sees Thor as a big puppy that grew up into a sagely old dog. He thinks that man’s love for his brother is a gigantic blind spot and wishes Thor will someday be able to objectively view Loki, but doubts that will ever happen. The Hulk likes Thor for being a sparring partner that can actually put up a decent fight.
Loki - Bruce doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to trust him. He understands Loki is trying to do good now, but some things are too big to forget. The Hulk will always be there to stop Loki again if need be.

Powers: Phoebe is an ordinary human and has no powers. Her familiar, Miss Birch, has all the real power.
"Miss Birch" is a nickname. Her real name is unpronounceable by humans, as the sounds are made from the rustling of her leaves. Miss Birch is a tree spirit known as a dryad, and like her name suggests, resembles a birch tree. She can shift from her tree form to a more humanoid form. In both forms Miss Birch is capable of moving. She can also grow at will, and in battle grows thick roots and claw-like branches to attack.
Like most Earthly magical beings, Miss Birch can be invisible to non-magical (or "mundane") folk. Animals, magical beings, and people like Phoebe can see through her invisibility. Thermal imaging will also spot a cold spot, as trees are generally colder than the surrounding area.
Being made of wood, Miss Birch is resistant to electricity, bullets, blades, and has a higher range of comfortable temperature than animals. She can survive being frozen, losing limbs, oxygen-scarce environments, and long periods of drought. Miss Birch is weak to fire, CO2 deprivation, complete lack of water, and long periods total darkness. Miss Birch does not have organs and therefore has no real "weak points", but if she loses more than 80% of her body and is not replanted fast, she will die.

Trainer: Antman

Appearance: Phoebe is a pale brunette with frizzy, curly hair and gray-blue eyes. She stands at 5'5" and generally wears whatever clothes she feels like with no care for fashion. She particularly likes bright colored tops and comfy pants. She owns many pairs of tye-dye shirts and neon leggings. Phoebe owns one pair of shoes and they are her most valued possession: a pair of T8 lightweight tactical boots that she “borrowed” from an army surplus store. They’ve survived hiking through the forests of America and the streets of New York.
In the fall, Phoebe collects Miss birch's fallen leaves and braids them into her hair.

Miss Birch has two forms. As a tree, she resembles a thirty foot tall birch tree with her symbol carved into the trunk. As a humanoid, she stands at eight feet tall. Her bark forms a full length "dress". Her skin is made of the inner bark. Her arms end in branches with clawed, hand-like shapes at the ends. Her face is stretched thin and hollow, greatly resembling a human skull. her lips are pulled back to expose her wooden 'teeth'. There is no nose. Where the eyes would be grow more branches. These head-branches are capable of forming flowers and leaves. Somehow, Miss Birch can still see, despite the lack of eyes. Her voice is flat and hollow.

Personality: Phoebe is a carefree, optimistic individual. She is going through life looking for "adventures" to partake and people to befriend. She is unjudging--after all, her mother figure is a terrifying tree!--and more than a little bit naive. She believes there is good in everyone and that it only needs to be drawn out...but she is a bit doubtful of the good in the "mundies" (her word for mundane folk) hearts. Due to her lack of contact with society, Phoebe can be blunt or seem rude. She often misses context clues that normal teens and adults would understand.

Miss Birch is a very serious and mature individual. Like many familiar spirits, she speaks to very few other than her chosen bonded. She has solely dedicated her life to keeping Phoebe safe and happy, and doesn't care if she has to get violent to do that. She is rarely anywhere other than Phoebe's side--usually with a branch wrapped around Phoebe's hand. She calls Phoebe "my little sapling".

History: Phoebe comes from a family that, hundreds of years ago, were folk healers in England and Scotland. One of her ancestors saved a dryad sapling from being chopped down, and that dryad made a pact. The dryad chose to serve that ancestor and their children "as long as they held love in their hearts". All they had to do was call her by making her symbol and wearing it. That ancestor made a book detailing the pact and a drawing of the dryad's symbol. They passed it down to their children, their children's children, and so on.
Flashforward to the past; Phoebe was born to a terminally ill father. Her mother died in childbirth, leaving only a weird old book. Phoebe lived with her father until he was too sick to care for her, and then was put in foster care. She only had the clothes on her back and a weird old book to take with her from house to house. Like most in foster care, Phoebe grew sick of the system quick. At eight she read the book and followed the instructions. She took twigs and grass and tied them into a makeshift necklace. It barely stayed together, but she held it carefully, then ran away from home and into the nearby forest.
Phoebe lived in a scrubland. There should be no birch trees. But she found one anyway, and this one leaned over to inspect her. It grew a face and smiled. This was Miss Birch, who watched over the ancestors from afar in case she was called.
From the age of eight, "Miss Birch" served as Phoebe's foster mother. The dryad raised her in the forest, and then later in an abandoned apartment building as she tried to acclimate back into human society, after the Infinity War. Phoebe's contact with humanity was few and far between, usually in the form of begging for money or rare conversations with fellow homeless people and drifters. This was also how she got the news. Through conversation she learned of the new Avengers Academy. Phoebe idolizes superheroes and begged Miss Birch for a week to go. Finally she gave in, and the pair hoboed their way to New York. There Phoebe walked right up to the Avengers Facility and gave "an application" to a guard. Her "application" was a series of flyers and advertisements with her name, birth date, and a detailed history of her life with a magical tree-person written on the back, including page numbers as the papers were not stapled together. Despite being full of spelling errors and childish doodles of Miss Birch, her "application" was accepted.

Sexuality: Heterosexual with absolutely no experience whatsoever, not even with what a crush feels like.

Other: Phoebe has not attended school since the second grade. She is literate and knows basic math, science, and a vague idea of what the internet is, but anything past that flies over her head.
