lazarus cross, known as laz to friends, was born in the slums of zandara. he was the ille
gitimate son of a nobleman and a seamstress. despite his upbringing in a desolate and d
ismal environment, lazarus bloomed into a responsible, intelligent young man with a kn
ack for technology and diplomacy. he spent his teenage years looking after his young br
other and mother, finding the occasional odd job to support the two most important pe
ople in his life. self-sacrificing and independent, there were days where he would go wi
thout food and sleep if it meant his family wouldn't have to go through the same sufferi
ng. soon, word got around about the ambitious young man from the slums who had a gif
t for technology and an untapped brilliant mind. his mentor, roswell, was the former ta
citcal advisor in the royal guard and offered to take lazarus underneath his wing. of cou
rse, he was hesitant to leave his family behind to pursue his own life above their little s
hanty town. after much negotiating, he was able to secure himself the apprenticeship w
hile also providing a home amongst the nobles for his family. his studies began at the ag
e of eighteen where he quickly became accustomed to the cushioned life of a noble. the
re, his clever mind was put to good use where he had a hand in developing new technolo
gies for the royal guard and upper society under roswell's watchful eye. a true pacifist, l
azarus was thankful that he wasn't tasked with developing weapons. instead, he found a
n interest in using technology to benefit society as a whole. he is hopeful that there is a
solution to the planet's failing economy and decades long famine that doesn't involve vio
lence. lazarus believes that the royal guard may be a part of the solution, but also respe
cts the outlaws' dedication for the justice and livelihood of the lower society which he w
as once apart of. with different circumstances, lazarus would've been an outlaw himself.
