Personality: Maple is a generally kind and caring she-wolf with a gentle heart far more suited to a den mother than a Hunter or Warrior. She’s a pacifist, and has a strong focus on the scraps of her family remaining. Maple bears grief and regret heavily in her heart, and regrets not being able to watch her eldest surviving son grow up. Maple doesn’t particularly have a temper, and is generally calm and collected.

Maple isn’t above snarky comments here and there, and looks for loopholes in issues, a trait certainly passed on to a good few of her young. She doesn’t mind her life right now, but has times when she wishes she hadn’t been weak-willed, another defining trait of this she-wolf. She’s extremely protective, sometimes more than is good for her, and trusts easily, sometimes TOO easily. She thinks before she acts...MOST of the time. When her emotions get riled up, all logic is strained at best.

Backstory: Maple was born to the Fire Pack. She was a Den Mother, and even when she wasn’t expecting Pups, she was helping expecting mothers. Not for her was the wars and bloody hunting of the other wolves. Her gentle and kind nature stood out from the typical Fire wolf and caught the attention of Alpha Cinder, Alpha before Max, and father of the latter. Although his own Pups Cobalt and Max had just become Trainees, it wasn’t enough. Cinder fell in love with Maple despite having his own mate and queen, Tala. She resisted him at first, but Cinder was just too sweet, showing a rare soft side. She thought there was hope for him yet, and tried to help him so he could achieve Starris when he died, but in her time with him, Maple fell in love as well. She failed to change him, but he changed her. Around winter that year, it was discovered that Maple was expecting her second litter of Pups. In fear, to hide her and the Pups, Cinder sent them away when the Pups were old enough to walk. Until then, Maple passed them off as the last remaining pups from her late mate, which ALMOST made sense with the timeline, but eventually, someone would put two and two together. The way was harsh, and only one of three Pups survived, and she named him Blaze. In a fight with a cougar, however, Maple was injured nearly to the point of death. When a young she-wolf wandered by in grief for having lost her own Pups to illness, Maple begged her to take Blaze as she lay there, near dead, and managed to barely recover. The she-wolf adopted the small Pup gladly, brought him to her Pack of origin, Lightning Pack, where she raised him as her own and named him Ash. Maple wandered for years after, always close to the border, debating going to see her son. Now that she’s on her last legs and has just lost one of her last litter she’s determined to see the wolf her son had become.

Appearance: Large honey brown she-wolf with three white paws and tail tip, one ginger paw. Like in pic, but her eyes are a greenish-amber colour.
