History:
Taika was once foreign to this land. After learning the ropes of sledding back
in the snowy peaks of Finland, she was trained to pull sleds for tourists rather than
cmpetitions. She was named ‘Magic’ in Finish, given this due to her awesome
drive and strong personality. However, Taika found her looks would cause
complications as she matured. Her wild-like appearance struck fear into
certain tourists, and many viewed her as something of a savage, rarely venturing
near her. It was during heryouth did her dislike for humans begin to develop,
and as an alternative, Taika sought the company of her fellow sled dogs instead.
Her strong spirit was noticed by her musher, but her attitude to humans
resulted in her being sold to a competitive musher half way across the world.
It took time for Taika to adapt to this new sport but has grown to prefer it in
the year she’s been part of it.

Appearance:
In the past, Taika’s proportion and colouring have mistaken her numerous times as a wolf. With a lithe body and long legs, she is a born runner and has always been a valuable member of the team. Her coat is a brown sable, hinting red down her face and legs. White covers her cheeks and strips up past her muzzle to her forehead. Taika has a slim muzzle and soft green eyes which blend into the colouring of her face. Her ears are large and oversized, occasionally flopping over halfway when she is at a standstill.

Personality:
Taika is a free spirited female with a strong mind of her own. She strives to fulfil her need for fun in life which usually results in her rebellious side being revealed. She isn’t the most mature female, but won’t directly cause problems for the team or put them in any kind of danger. She has always been a good worker and performed her role well, despite not enjoying it very much. Taika is a dog craving adventure, and while this may not be ideal, she isn’t afraid to explore this new world. Some may view Taika as careless and irresponsible. But beneath her nonchalant outer shell is a dog wishing for a better life. A life free from demand and discipline. She’s a fun dog who will play around with anyone who will put up with her antics. Surprisingly, she has her limits, and will settle down and behave when she is asked.

Rosebud [ Neutral ]
Taika hasn’t given her relationship with Rosebud much thought
but does view her as approachable. You may find her making
small talk in her efforts to form a bond of sorts, and this may
actually pay off in the long run.

Malcom [ Positive ]
One thing that didn’t die with the musher was Taika’s loyalty
to Malcolm. Even without the sled and harnesses, they are all
still a team, and Taika believes he is the glue that holds them
together.

Olivia [ Neutral ]
Taika has never understood Olivia’s love for the musher, and
her strong disapproval hasn’t pushed her in the direction of
forming a friendship. She doesn’t dislike the Wheel Dog, but
things would be easier if Taika would communicate with her.

Atlas [ Neutral ]
His testy trait pushes Taika to mess around with him,
perhaps by annoying him intentionally or trying to
manipulate him. Either way, she doesn’t have much of an
opinion on Atlas, but intends to build on this.

Coco [ Negative ]
Fear of the world is always seen as a weakness for Taika. So
at a time this dog may ask for help or a friend, Taika is likely
to respond by relentless teasing, which Coco may find hurtful.
Taika’s insensitivity comes unknowingly, but a line must be drawn.

Bear [ Neutral ]
His much of a bore with his peacemaking tactics and efforts
to keep everything together. Taika stays away from Bear, as her
antics are likely to anger him. She can tell he’s not a bad dog. Just
trying too hard.
