Appearance: To start with, Ryder has black, curly hair that is kept relatively short and neat, and if you touch it, he will bite your head off. His eyes are a very deep brown, and almost look black. He stands at 5'11", putting him at a decent height, and he has an athletic build, with a little muscle. Additionally, he has vitiligo. No, it's not contagious or harmful, and yes, he's heard a million jokes and comments, and none of them are as original as you think they are.

Personality: Quiet and asocial, Ryder is known to be cold towards strangers at best. Even to his friends, he is not always the friendliest of people, but he's never outright rude towards them. Getting his trust and loyalty, though, is like finding a diamond. But unlike diamonds, one slip up will mean shattering his trust in you forever. He might grow to tolerate you again, but trust? Never.
He's also fierce and protective of his friends, and will often step in if someone is being a threat to any of them.
Of course, he has a softer, sweeter side to him - one that he only shows to those that have really grown close to him, and it'll take patience and understanding to really get to. He might not usually be one to fight back against authority, but if that authority is oppressive and unfair, then he's definitely going to fight back.

Short Bio: His family wasn't exactly the richest... or even middle-class... but they got by. Ryder grew up appreciating what he has, but it still hardened him towards anyone with more money than they need. It didn't help that he only had a few friends growing up, but he tried to make it work. He didn't learn about his heritage or ability until he turned 16 and his power started manifesting.
Additionally, Ryder loves stargazing, and likes spending his sleepless nights staring at the stars. He also really likes gingerbread, and is something of a decent dancer. He is allergic to stinging nettles.

Many of the staff and students at Stormridge would consider Edward to be a very straight--
forward person, which he is. It does not matter if you are a student or a part of the staff, to
be honest, because he will tell you how it is either way or what is on his mind. Edward is a bit
of a confident fellow though and likes to instill his own confidence into others if he can.xxxx
Edward grew up in a small town right on the outskirts of Salem, Massachusetts. His father was
a warlock and his mother was human but knew about his father and she wasn't too happy about
it either but managed. Growing up, his father taught him the basic stylings of voodoo magic,
even with the disapproval of his mother. Edward had fun learning about magic and excelled quite
well within a year or so. his mother passed away at an early age and not too long after that, his
father perished as well. From there, he moved to Virginia with his auntie, who also practiced the
magic of voodoo and continued his training, just so he could better hone his abilities. Edward's
auntie then shipped him to the academy known a Stormridge and found out just how different he
really was from the rest of the students. He did manage to make it through the academy and went
on to live his life. But now, he's back at the institute because of the brewing war and he does not
only want to protect the students, but the academy, too. He's ready and surely hopes that everyone
else is too.

Raymond might have a resting b**** face but he is actually quite nice and generous. He's the type
of person that will give you the shirt off of his back but he a low consistency when it comes to
being generous. That means that he is not generous all the type, just sometimes and only some--
times. He enjoys sarcastic banter with others and likes to make a mockery out of people, whether
it's their voice or expressions. Raymond is sure that he pisses people off whenever he mocks them
but he just continues to do it anyway.
Raymond's abilities came quite early in his life and it did scare him along with his parents just a bit.
They wasted no time to give him away to an orphanage, who gladly took him in as one of their own.
He was adopted about three months later to a very wealthy family, who couldn't bear any children.
Raymond showcases his ability once more after that at the local pool because he wanted to control
this unique gift he was born with. Some kids saw him and swirled around him, thinking that it was
cool but the adults were terrified of him, expect his newfound adoptive parents, they thought that
it was a good thing. It was weird to him why they thought that but did not bother to ask them or
even worry about it for too long. It wasn't until his thirteen birthday that his parents sent him to
Stormridge Academy in Virginia, where he is now in his final year. Raymond has loved it there ever
since the first day and made a lot of friends and some enemies. He has no idea about the war that's
brewing but know where his loyalties lie whenever it pops off at the academy.
