Golden Flecks of SunsetYou get used to being a lone wolf
Just a taste.Name: Golden Flecks of Sunset
Nickname: Eve(Short for Evening)
Looks:
She has claw marks on her withers which are a few shades lighter than her usual coat colour. However, her mane usually covers all of it, though they tend to itch, she gets touchy if anyone tries to scratch there. She is a strong, lean horse, not with a lot of muscle but a healthy amount. She has a great amount of endurance, and can run quickly for a great amount of time, though if it's a stallion, she usually isn't.
Rank: Lone mare
Gender: Mare
Breed: Brumby X Arabian
Age: 9 Things left unsaid...Personality: Eve is a bit of a cold one. Often quiet, when she does speak she is either painfully blunt, or she will speak in riddles, according to her mood. When one first sees her, she tends to differ in attitude according to the season. In spring she is sometimes almost aloof, but in the summer she tends to get a bit flirty if she has not been covered or in a herd yet. She knows she can't survive the winter alone, after all. When seeing stallions, if she still has time, she tends to run if they show interest, just to see if they would chase. Also, it might catch the attention of other stallions, so they could fight and she can go with the stronger, just because. She is quite open to having foals with just about any stallion, if they muster enough courage to ask this cold beauty.
In herds, Eve tends to be quiet, not really vying for lead mare, content to even be at the bottom. She would be quiet, insightful, gentle and a great listener, making a great horse for others to confide in, as she is one to keep secrets. She doesn't come with the usual drama of a mare, which sometimes makes others feel her to be a breath of fresh air. However, like all horses, she isn't little miss perfect.
When she has her foal, Eve tends to be quite nonchalant towards it, but internally, she is quite protective of her offspring. She believes that foals should grow up by learning to deal with their own problems and usually won't deal with it, only stepping in when she knows her foal cannot handle it by itself. If the lead mare is picking on it, Eve may even fight for the lead position, just to kick the lead down a few rungs of the ladder. However, in a real do or die situation, where only one of them could live, most probably, Eve will desert her young. No matter how precious, what Eve wants in the end, is the spreading of her bloodlines, and if her foal were the one to live, there would be quite a high chance it would die of other causes before being able to breed. However, other than that, Eve often will pull great feats that no one suspects the mare is capable of, simply to keep her foal safe, or even orchestrate things that would torment her foal just to train it. Her love is bittersweet, that's all there is.
However, her foals are just about the only things Eve seems to be able to form attachments too. She is a very practical mare. Usually, after winter, Eve would head off, for another herd, another stallion, just because. No matter if the stallion is cruel or kind, Eve moves on, taking her foal. With a fear of attachment and a want to have her bloodlines spread as far as possible, the mare often doesn't stay in the same herd for more than a year unless forced to. This mare's heart is very hard to have, but she offers that one chance, so why not just take that chance and watch her go?
History: Eve was born to a large herd, in which she made friends, and often played around. She was quite the same as she is now when with a herd, gentle, but utterly fearsome when pushed too far. She loved everyone dearly, but her father simply saw all of them as tools to extend his bloodline, and after a while, Eve simply inculcated that belief. He taught both colt and filly alike how to fight, believing they should know how to stand for themselves, no matter their gender. He pushed her out at two, which Eve expected, but she felt really sad as she had really loved everyone. All the same, her father wouldn't let her come back. She joined a herd with a stallion that managed to charm her young heart, and stayed with him for about three years, though according to what her father preached, she knew she shouldn't. On the third year, they were set on by a pack of wolves. Their small band was utterly desecrated, along with her foal and yearling though she fought till they breathed their last. In the end, only her first foal with the male that had already left was saved, and it was enough of a confirmation for the mare. She went on, doing what she felt was best. After a while, she's come here, though a stallion had separated her two year old. Not that she really minds. The little things...Pet peeves: When the scars on her body itch, when a foal of hers dies and when the stallion is to shy to ask for foals.
Fears: Not much. She's quite emotionless.
Loves: Her children growing up well and then leaving her as they should.Ties that bind, ties that break. Herd: His own.
Dam: Once in a Blue Moon
Sire: Raging Tempest
Foals: About five?Random stuff I couldn't put anywhere else.Other: nothing much. Contrary Snowfall I keep quiet. I don't say much. I watch and learn.
Just a taste.Name: Contrary Snowfall
Nickname: Snow
Looks:
Rank: Lone
Gender:Mare
Brumby X Arabian X Thoroughbred
Age: 2Things left unsaid...Personality: Quite like her mother, Snow is vey quiet, but unlike her mother, it's more in a scared sort of way. Seemingly always on alert and spooked by a lot, Snow is a hard one to calm down. If one says hi to her, she'd likely stay and respond warily, but any aggressive moves and she's off like a rocket when alone. However, when she manages to trust someone, she settles more, staying around them fearfully when she would have run off. She is still young, and her naivete makes her easily scared, but this does not mean she is a pushover. She learnt how to be quiet from her mother, but she's actually pretty darn smart, but when she gets scared the fear just tends to overrule everything, making her seem like some dumb brood. She may scare easily with unknown surprises, but when she knows someone and they test her waters, they better be prepared. Because when snow melts, it can accomadate anything as water, but it can also freeze over once more to become a pelting hail. Snow simply is a very fearful horse that spooks a lot, but if one manages to win her trust, her character is very strong. She just never really got over 'surprises'. She understood her mother's reasons for leaving every year, yet she doesn't think she can manage to do something like that.
History: Born to Eve on the lingering traces of winter, Snow and her mother both watched as gentle snowflakes fell on a fallen brown tree trunk, the exact opposite of her colouring, which then birthed her name right after. They went back to the herd, and Snow felt herself opening up a little. The stallion liked his children and all the mares, but when Eve started to go back into stage one of her heat, she decided it was time to go. There was no yearling with her, as the colt had been chased off, but she left, and Snow followed, at first letting out concerned whinnies, but then her mother turned around and gave her a harsh glare, and Snow was silent. The next morning though, the stallion managed to catch up to them, whinnying in concern and asking her why she left. In all honestly, he was a good stallion. Eve explained herself simply, but he wouldn't allow it, forcing her back into the herd. Eve was put under something akin to maximum security by the stallion, and she didn't fight it, simply waiting. When the stallion got too tired, she left, and Snow followed. Snow didn't want to leave, but more than the herd, she was definitely more bonded to her distant mother. They found another stallion, but this stallion seemed harsher. He leered at Eve like she was a piece of meat, nosed Snow like she was an investment and simply bared his teeth at them and told them to join the herd. Knowing that Snow wouldn't be able to outrun the stallion and not really minding, Eve agreed. There Snow managed to warm up to some of the mares, but the stallion was really cruel, so there wasn't too much time to talk. Snow could play with other foals, however, and there the more tomboyish side of her showed, growing into a healthy, beautiful yearling. Eve birthed a colt the next year, and the stallion was proud.
However, the way the stallion looked at Snow, Eve knew that he would force himself on the yearling when she was in her first heat, but that would probably kill the filly. As such, preempting him, Eve showed herself off to a bachelor herd stupid enough to pick fights they would not win and as they fought, she and Snow fled. The other mares looked at them with a mixture of admiration and fear, but Eve simply strode out, Snow was used to it by now and the colt ran along strongly, happy and sturdy. They joined another stallion, who wouldn't force himself on Snow, obviously going to wait till next year, though what he didn't know was that they wouldn't be there next year. When that year passed and Eve had another colt, they waited a while before they left. This colt was a little sickly, however so they had to travel rather slowly. When the stallion found out, he called after them, but Eve refused. Getting mad and hurt about how his kindness was refuted so plainly according to her whims, he ran forward and chased them, and that was the first time Snow saw her mother fight. Her mother had taught her and her brother how to fight, but whenever she did it was in whispers and she never really showed them. Now Snow could see why. Had Eve demonstrated it, the other horses would definitely have felt uncomfortable. Using her speed and dexterity, Eve fought not like a stallion, but like a mare. She dodged with grace and attacked with silence. No roaring or intimidation tactics, she looked like she was dancing. Of course, no mare would ever beat a stallion, but by that time her brother had joined in and the stallion was pretty young so they managed to briefly wrest him off and run. The colt barely managed to keep up, being bare weeks old, and because he had already had a weak constitution, he passed away soon after. That was the one time Snow ever saw her mother have an emotion close to regret as she let her muzzle hover over the child for a whole hour, immobile and her eyes glassy.
After that, Eve tried to force Snow away, as mothers did, seeing as Snow was two. Being more of a shy, fearful mare, however, she refused and didn't want to. Eve didn't seem to like the news, but accepted it, and perhaps even relaxed a little. Perhaps Eve did like the company of her foals. However, her yearling colt decided to leave the two, knowing that band stallions would try to kill him and such, and as he saw a bachelor band in the distance, the colt wanted to learn how to fight from stallions and the such. There would simply be more fighting opportunities there. With a sneaky drink and a teasing laugh, he left quickly, and that was the last they heard of him. Eve and Snow continued on together till a stallion that was trying to chase them drove them apart. For a second Snow saw Eve kick out at the stallion and then look at her child, as if wanting to rejoin her, but then seemed to think the better of it after all-them apart would be better for spreading the bloodlines-, and then with another kick and a taunting flick of a heat scented tail, sped away, goading the stallion after. Obviously Snow didn't want to run after as she'd be in range of the stallion, but looking around her, Snow felt fear. All this time she'd dealt with change easily, but at least she still had her mother. The two year old envied her brother for his carefree attitude, and when a branch cracked suspiciously, Snow was off like a bullet, and mother and daughter were separated at last. The little things...Pet peeves: Things getting stuck on her coat, others teasing her.
Fears: Scary things, dying,
Loves: A stable environment and horses that she likes.Ties that bind, ties that break. Herd: None yet.
Dam: Golden Flecks of Sunset
Sire: Gentle HurricaneRandom stuff I couldn't put anywhere else.Other: Not much. Northern Cavalry"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm."- Abraham LincolnJust a taste.Name: Northern Cavalry
Nickname: Valeria\Valerie
Looks:
Rank: Lone mare, for now
Gender: Mare
Breed: Draft X mustang
Age: 4Things left unsaid...Personality: Excitable, strong, but rash. Valeria is a mare named after armies at war, and she definitely makes an impression. With a strong sense of naivete and love for life, Valeria just loves living life and loving. Incredibly earnest, she jumps into things headfirst, always willing to put in 100%. If she fails, she simply shakes it off with a laugh, not at all daunted, and continues on her way, eager to try the next challenge that will befall her. Spunky, confident and always with a grin on her features, Valeria makes friends easily and takes things in her stride.
However, she's not too good on listening to advice. Whilst she loves those who agree with her, when others chide her she tends to shrug it off and try anyway, which can cause more than a little friction and a tendency to find herself in dangerous situations. Luckily, though, with her large size and her willingness to put up a fight, she has managed to just escape by the skin of her teeth. Nothing gets under her skin as much as being told that she cannot do something, and if she hates you, she will do anything in her power to get in your way, as she is incredibly vindictive. Will forgive if you apologise to her face with meaning, and will accept nothing else.
At her heart, Valeria is more than a little insecure, as she knows she can be quite unlikable to others, and wishes for companions who understand her and might want a little fun too.
History: Pretty normal history actually, which can be a little surprising. The little things...Pet peeves: Being talked down to or underestimated, being seen as stupid. Not being allowed to do something.
Fears: Everyone hating her.
Loves: Summer, a stable herd that likes her.Ties that bind, ties that break. Herd: None yet.
Dam: Northern Quiver
Sire: TitanRandom stuff I couldn't put anywhere else.Other: Twilight Equinox"Everybody deserves a second chance, but not for the same mistake."
Just a taste.Name: Twilight Equinox
Nickname: Nox
Looks:
Rank: Bachelor, for now.
Gender: Stallion
Age: 14Things left unsaid...Personality: The best way to describe this horse, is that he is one of few words. He prefers to go with body actions instead of speech. As such, instead of reprimanding, he may just give one a small nip. Like any other stallion, he wants a lot of mares, and would do just about anything to get as big a band as possible. Towards strangers, he tends to be very brusque if he does speak, but more often then not he just warns them away. Unless, of course, they are a mare. Towards his herd, he doesn't necessarily talk a lot either, but is more expressive and affectionate to his herd, essentially being a gentle giant. However, his priorities sway more towards protecting his own first before finding others. He may try to snake other mares, but when his mares are threatened, he comes right back.
If you do get the stallion to speak however, one would quickly find that his silence is not due to ignorance. With a mild, eloquent voice, Nox is soft and measured in voice where he is loud in his movements. However, he is extremely decisive no matter what, and just prefers not to talk as emotions tend to get clouded and others can lie. If he is close to a horse, however, he would talk to them, trying to get to know how their mind works. He holds a great respect for every horse as an individual and doesn't think them daft, so he knows there are reasons why others do things, but at the same time he ultimately works for the protection of his herd so no matter what your reason is, if you attack his herd you will regret it.
Very smart, this stallion always goes straight for the pressure points in a fight, and doesn't bother posturing or trying to intimidate, and has only been known to scream when truly aggravated. He is a fearsome fighter, in that he knows where to strike, and he doesn't waste time doing it. He never turns this on his herd, however, always being as gentle as can be when they are respectful, though he usually doesn't try to solve problems amongst his mares. If his mares have issues with each other, they can sort it out amongst themselves and the lead mare can take care of it. He doesn't play at biases, though he'd obviously be seen a little more with the lead mare, as when the two leaders are of the same mind, a herd has an infinitesimally better chance of survival. He expects them to solve out their own issues and will not help them out most of the time, but if a mare in the herd is rude to him, he does not hesitate to punish, quickly giving them a hard nip. He does not care whether or not they are feeling grumpy because they are in heat, or because of flies, the only thing he asks from them is respect, and he will definitely punish those that don't give it to him. Of course, he also gives the same, and is a gentle father figure to all his foals. Nox has a high tolerance for other stallions, and normally lets them come relatively close, given that his mares are usually voluntarily with him, and well, Nox doesn't really get too bothered by another stallion's presence. He knows that sometimes bachelors just want company, and sometimes herd stallions feel that herds keeping close mean more eyes, so he's pretty accepting. It means more eyes on the lookout for him as well, after all. He can usually also tell if the other horse has a malicious intent, and if they do, then he will just chase them away. However, if the other stallion dares try to steal his mares after Nox allowed him close, don't think for a second that Nox will let you off with a warning. Any action of that sort and you will have to deal with a charging stallion. Nox also lets his mares wander a little, knowing sometimes it gets a little boring. He doesn't force them to be compact all the time, only when the herd is moving. However, he does require them to stay within his senses(i.e., be somewhere he can see, hear or smell), but he tends to get a little stricter about wandering if the mare has a foal or is a little injured.
The well-being of his herd matters the most to Nox. If a mare was injured he'd stay with her for as long as possible, but when the lead mare decides to move off, he will have to leave the mare behind even if he was loathe to, as he puts the safety of the herd over any one mare.
History: The normal horse history, really. Nox isn't all that special. The little things...Pet peeves: Mares that keep thinking that stallions are all cruel, and that he would be as well even though they haven't even met him, disrespect, other horses stepping out of their place, anything that will cause harm to his herd.
Fears: His herd being in danger.
Loves: His mares and his herd. He also likes spring.Ties that bind, ties that break. Herd: None yet.

oh definitely, Phoenix and joker both seem to latch onto a mare, while imp loves all his mates equally, so yep he and her can definitely become close and she can become his favoured mare per say
Lyn and blue... pick a mare any mare your both getting one of mine lol.
Also blu, I don’t mind too much about having two Phoenix’s in the roleplay, it may get confusing though. Up to you if you want to change or see how it goes with two c:
