Oakstar died in battle over the death of Forestclan's medicine cat, avenging her death. Oakstar, devastated had led Forestclan into a gruesome battle that lasted moons. He was attacked by several cats of Yewclan at once, leaving him with grievous injuries. Because of the war, he still has a small disdain for Yewclan cats, however he would be able to overcome it once he gets to know the cat.
