in the year of 2013, the government made a breakthrough for health care, or so they thought.
the vaccine was meant to cure any and all genetic diseases that plagued the human race as a
whole. the injection was known as project revival and had gone through countless test runs b
efore being sent out to the public. this year of trails showed no issue or major side effects, th
us the vaccines were released within months after the trail year was over. it seemed the side
effects seemed to take a little over a year to show, as people slowly began to report signs of
those vaccinated acting abnormally and sometimes clinically insane. it only took months for
the first corpse to rise after these reports and much like one would see in the movies, the
government could no longer control the outbreak, as it was too extensive. the death toll incre
ased and vaccines were taken off the market but the damage had been done. playing with mot
her nature came with its consequences, this one deadly.
decades have past since the first outbreak and very few people are left, those that are are scat
tered or in small groups in different places around the world. there is no government and this is
now and killed or be killed type of world. the prior revival subjects have now gained different tr
aits, becoming two totally different subspecies of the original. the longest living revival affected
are known as grounders. they are extremely large and always travel alone. the grounders are attr
acted by sound, movement, and smell. equipped with abnormal strength, they are incredibly dan
gerous and hard to take down. one would think with their size they would be slow but these are
actually pretty quick in speed and reflexes. the second of the two are simply known as revived. th
ey are slow and travel in groups. they are the less intelligent of the two and are only attracted to
sound and movement. in groups they can be dangerous but alone they are easy pickings.
