Ajax's life before Camp was relatively...normal, all things considered. He grew up to a single mom, considering his old man is one of the big guys in the sky. His mom was a hardworking woman, and considering they lived alone in a pretty crappy New York apartment, Ajax spent a lot of his childhood doing odd jobs and chores in order to help out the only adult who loved him unconditionally. Of course, ever since he was a child, he knew something was...different about his family. He had always been stronger and faster than other kids his age, and there was always weird people watching him from a distance...but at first, he just thought they were freak pedos.

That is, until one turned into a weird cross between Dracula and an elephant furry attacked him during his subway ride back home..

After that little fiasco, in which he managed to drown the heavy ass monster by juking it into the pier, Ajax headed home - bone weary, a bit scared, and hyped up on fear adrenaline. His mom, after panicking about his torn clothing and skinned palms, explained their unique situation to the young eleven year old. He was the son of Poseidon, God of the Sea, and he was apparently...part God? After the shock wore off, AJ couldn't help but be excited. And worried. Since, according to his mom, monsters were attracted to his Godly scent. Did that mean that she was unsafe, as well?

Thankfully, there was a solution. He could go to Camp Half-Blood - 'a place for wonderful people like you', his mother told him later on. A place to learn more about his powers, while also keeping his mother safe from his monster-attracting smell. He went with it of course.

So far, he's been in the camp for eight years, and has gone through a lot. Battles, a few quests, some relationships - he stays year-round, although he sometimes leaves an odd summer or two to surprise visit his mom. He's well-known at the Camp, and despite not being one for showing off or being popular, AJ happens to be considered one of the 'leaders' and 'popular ones' among the Demi-Gods. He kinds rolls with it, for the most part. It doesn't change anything.
