here's some info on my characters if anyone wants to discuss something c:

drakar - an experienced guy who's super protective of mares and
fairly accepting of foals that aren't his. he's very patient and is
able to deal with pretty much any personality though he prefers
the older, more patient mares. however the occasional spit fire
personality is accepted because he likes the challenge
athena - will only respond to older stallions who's best chance of
getting her is snaking her, afterwards she's very loyal and will
always return to her chosen stallion. in herd situations she's dominant
and will immediately claim the lead mare spot upon her entry.
she's fairly aggressive towards young stallions and stern towards
young mares
hera - my little bebe <3, she's the motherly type who will adopt
foals and young mares under her wing. though she isn't nautrally
a leader she'll take the role if no one else will. though she'll prefer
an older, more experienced stallion she can be courted by younger
ones to an extent
saorise - young and definitely not in charge even though she wants,
she's still full of energy and foal like playfulness. a bit flirty she may
drag someone along to see if they're really interested. don't argue
with her because she doesn't know how to quit

always scared something bad
will happen. In stressful
situations, she breaks down
and snaps at others, which
is unusual for her kindly self.

The reason Annie tries
to be so optimistic and
kind isn’t out of the
goodness of her own
heart. It’s because she
knows if she has any
kind of an attitude,
herds will leave her in
the dust. Her only use is
to bear foals, which
often doesn’t go very
well, as she’s very feeble.
She tries to be optimistic
also to that she won’t
get stressed, because
when she does, she
snaps at other mares,
and that’s sure to get
her left behind.

The reason Annie is so
jumpy is because of
her past. When she was
very young, not even a
year old, a cougar killed
her mother, and nearly
got Annie, before her
sire stepped in. Annie
has had a limp ever since,
and she knows she’s weak.
She’s always scared of
loud noises and strange
smells, or any other type
of danger signal.

Annie often gets rather sad
when the past is brought up.
She hates recalling the
memories of when she could
play and run freely. Now, she
has pain whenever she must
run or do anything of the sort.
She feels as though she’s a
burden to her herd, and she
often is. Few herds will take
her in, because she slows
them down. Even when
Annie can run, she must take
long breaks afterwards, bec
ause of the immense pain.
Annie has spent many a
winter without a herd to
take her in, and they all
led to near death experiences.
She’s just lucky to be alive.

Despite Piper’s extreme intelligence and wit,
she is amazingly gracious and good to other
mares. She’s one of the kindest mares you’ll
ever meet, and she’s somewhat wise, or at
least she thinks she is, despite her not so old
age. Piper gets grumpy rather easily, and her
absolute pet peeve is others not listening to
her when she’s speaking. This is mostly
because she’s an amazing listener and always
expects others to reciprocate her kindness.
Piper is very easily spooked. She’s usually
very timid and on edge because of this, with
her ears pricked and eyes wide. She flees
quickly, and far, in any somewhat dangerous
situation. Piper is a good mare, but a hard
one to please.

Piper was born in the wild, a sweet summer
foal. Her mother was a bit of a harsh mare,
and would constantly scold her for the littlest
things. Her mother was extremely intelligent,
much like Piper, and had an old soul. She just
wanted the best for Piper, whether she knew
it or not. On top of this her mother was a bit
stuck up and always desired to be the very
best. For these reasons, when Piper finally
aged enough to leave the herd, it was a
happy moment. Gone were the days of her
mother’s harsh rule. Piper found a herd
quickly, and had been there for the last 3
years- but her stallion passed away.

Trigger is an easily angered
stallion with a quick temper.
When he gets angry, he tends
to get a bit violent, and will
sometimes even nip stubborn
mares. He gets what he wants,
or he gets angry. Trigger hates
when others don’t submit to
him and it simply ticks him
off. He doesn’t care much
when he hurts others.

instructions from even his

He‘s a no nonsense stallion,

courting mares. Unbelievably,
he actually cares for his mares,
once he’s bonded with them,
and shows a bit of a soft side.
He doesn’t see them as just
a number, or trophy, but
rather, sees them as family.

Trigger wasn’t always quite so
harsh, but like many broken souls,
his life shaped him negatively.
Trigger’s father raised him well,
and taught him many things
about surviving on his own.
However, his father was colder
and, yes, crueler, than Trigger.
He watched how his father
treated mares, and despite it,
he had many. Trigger decided
this was clearly the way to go
about it, and that’s how he’s
been since. On top of that, he
had a dominant, cold mother.

Trigger’s dam had been his sire’s
oldest mare. She’d learned from
him, and hardened herself. She
taught Trigger that the only way
to get the things you want is by
making others give them to you,
because that’s how his sire had
imprinted upon her. However,
when there weren’t any other
mares around, she was very fond
towards Trigger, which explains
the deep kindness and compassion
that he keeps hidden away.
Trigger cannot see that he
doesn’t have to be so harsh to
achieve what he wants, and
probably never will, because
he gets what he wants quicker.

personality » zeus is a bold and courageous stallion with a strange sense of curiousity that can sometimes lead him into trouble. he is tough, determined and hardy, the sort of traits you'd expect from a brumby mustang cross. he is incredibly protective and is generally a friendly horse, unless you're a rival stallion. he has a love of food, and hates winter for the lack of it. although, that never bothers him when his humans keep him in his stall with nice warm mash to keep him happy. when challenged or accused, zeus can become defensive and stand-offish, and stays this way for hours after the confrontation.
history » zeus's dam was a mustang and his sire was a brumby. though he never met his sire, his dam told him stories of her time running with him and his herd.

personality » linjal is hardy, stubborn, fiery and feisty. when challenged, she will not back down or shy from a fight. this often gets her into difficult situations as she has a tendency to pick fights with those who could easily beat her. she has a strong sense of family and belonging and she trusts her herd completely. she's incredibly intelligent and quite swift in the mental aspect. being a fjord, linjal is fairly strong in comparison to most other horses. what she lacks in size she makes up for in her determination and will to win. due to her still being reasonably young, linjal wouldn't be an ideal lead mare for a herd unless there are no more experienced mares.
history » linjal was born in the wild. she has seen stallions rise and fall. she knows everything a wild horse needs to know. her dam was a wanderer, constantly leaving and joining herds. due to this, linjal has an adventurous spirit. however, she despises having to change herds as she prefers it when she knows everyone in the herd.
