personality ryouma was once a but that's all in the past. now he has a straight and narrow mind through his upbringing from his adopted father. it can be hard to tell what he is really thinking although he prefers it that way. if none is able to tell what's on his mind then no one can hurt him or oniru. he has a soft spot for children and those in need, always bringing it upon himself to help. he considers everyone in oniru family, and some of his closest friends, especially anyone he's known for over three hundred years. usually busy he does have a habit of overworking himself or when he wants to cut loose he goes all out. ryouma is the type to be harsh when it's needed, and even over protective to those who dare to harm oniru.

history not much can be remembered by ryouma of his childhood. what he can recall is that in his childhood days, he was homeless and would beg for food. because of his large amount of power he was able to transform early on from his fox form to his human one. because of this he quickly became the leader of a gang of orphans. they would steal food, attack others and live freely in the city. as time went on they he saw them as brothers he had to protect. however living that way was rough. they would leave, die, or in very few cases of the toddlers, be adopted. years flew by and all was left was a few of them.

during one of their heist at a local market ryouma was running away with fruit in hand when he ran into a young ayakashi who had right blond hair and stunning indigo eyes. the young ayakashi was the thunder god, nomao, and Lord of the district they lived in. the merchant that he stole from was able to catch young ryouma and before he got a beating the thunder god paid off his debt. ryouma never thanked him and just pouted but nomao saw something in him. with out any warning he smiled at him then left. every day after that, the thunder god would go back and see the kitsune. it took roughly a year for ryouma to warm up to him before he was asked to move in with nomao. at first round refused because he wanted to care for the orphans. when the orphans heard that they told ryouma they didn't need or want him anymore. it gurt, but he knew they said it for his own good. nomao took ryouma in, loved him and allowd him to call nomao father. ryouma could remember that fateful day very well, it change his life forever. ryouma straightened out from his delinquent days as his power grew and his demeanor softened.

a hundred years give or take flew by with his new father nomao but the thunder god was a free spirit who wanted to roam. before he left the area to ryoumas hands he tested him by having him do something that would impact the district in a better way. ryouma decided to create oniru, the awakashi inn and thus was granted the lord status.

history seta was from a poor farming family in the mountains and was the oldest of six. he quickly learned to take care of his younger siblings while his parents worked. once he was old enough he too learned how to take care of the farm as well as take care of his family. after a few years a plague went through all of the villages in the area. both of seta's parents died. he tried to keep the farm afloat with his siblings but it was too hard working as children. just when everything seemed to be bad it got worse. slave traders came through and captured seta and his siblings. they were forced to leave their home. before he was sold seta managed to escape but before he was able to get his family they were sold on the black market. starving and looking for work at such a young age, ryouma found him. it wasn't pity but kindness. seta was brought to the in where he was cared for and given hope. he became a guard in hopes of taking care of the inn, and especially ryouma.

Personality: For most part, Seto is a gentle and humble kind who seems to keep a smile on his face wherever he goes. Speaking of smiles, he can easily hide his true feelings with one, so its hard to tell what kind of mood hes in. Seto cares about the ones around him and will do what he can to help. However, if he feels overwhelmed, his gentle personality turns sour. The Byakko haves an dark side, thats one reason why hes so upbeat...which makes him abit of an odd ball as well. Overall, Seto is a caring person,but hes also very mysterious.

consists of thin black leggings, dark brown combat boots and a blue long sleeve button up shirt. she
wears a silver pendant around her neck. her hair is a silver color that goes down to her hips, and her
eyes are a sea blue.

▸ pers. traits- despite her seemingly cruel appearance, masami is a generous spirit that works hard
as a lookout and guard for the people of oniru. she keeps up her bitter facade to intimidate any possible
threatening intruders, but she's really a sweetheart beneath the cold exterior. what masami really wants
is someone to talk to and befriend!

▷ ueniku, commonly going by niku, views himself as a tool for the master innkeeper. he wishes
nothing but happiness and the safety of ryouma, niku would give his life to protect the kitsune.

niku is extremely devoted to the protection of ryouma. so much that niku has basically dedicated all
of his time to checking up on the innkeeper and ensuring his safety everyday - this being one of the
reasons why niku's friendship circle isn't very.. broad. maybe this rp will change that? ;;;)))

appearance: with a height of five feet seven inches and a slender body type, niku has unkempt white
hair reaching to his neck and golden eyes with a deadpan expression. he has red marks under his eyes
as well as around the lids. niku wears a white collared + buttoned shirt with blue and gold stripes,
accompanied by black pants and a leather scabbard belt to hold his weapon. niku is always seen with
a black mask with gold lines in the shape of a canine's snout, and only those close to him will
see him with it off ;)
personality: niku is a mellow yokai with very few words to say, and being under two hundred years old, niku feels
inferior to many of the ayakashi around him. even so, niku possesses leaderships qualities such as
honesty, responsibility and commitment. though he has trouble expressing his feelings and being social
with the guests and workers of oniru, niku tries his best to remain friendly around all, though he can't
help but be wary around new guests and visitors. recently niku has been doing his best to get involved
with the conversations around oniru, but he feels like an annoyance and instead returns back to a state
of silence.

The color is a unique shade of bright sea green. Her hair is a pale, almost white blond that she keeps pulled back with a red ribbon. Though she has some curves to her womanly frame, she keeps it hidden in colorful kimonos. She is on the shorter side, reaching about 5'3'' in height. Her skin lacks any tattoos or piercings but she does have a burn scar across her slim shoulders.
Personality;; Aimi is a naive woman who tends to be a bit anxious at times. She hates conflicts and will try to solve anybody's problems despite not being involved. She has the curiosity and determination of a child on a mission. She is really in touch with her emotions and will cry without much warning. She is a hard worker who keeps a smile on her face when addressing costumers.
History;; Aimi doesn't have much in terms of a tragic backstory. In comparison to the rest of the people who work at the Inn, she is just a baby when it comes lifespan. When she was born, she was very ill. Since she couldn't go outside much, her mother taught her how to keep a clean house and greet guest properly. This would come in handy later in life. As she grew up, she recognized that she was different. She met a kitsune who offered her a job at an inn full of people just like her. She accepted it and since then has blossomed into the woman she is today.

Personality;; Shinji is a quiet man but not because he is shy. He is an observer of the world and enjoys keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings. He comes off as abrasive and cold at times with his blunt honesty. He is smart when it comes to books and strategy but doesn't have much in terms of common sense. He doesn't understand emotions very well either and finds them interesting rather than repulsive. He doesn't show much in terms of emotions himself and craves the sensation of them when he feels them.
History;; Shinji is very old and there isn't much he hasn't seen. This has caused him to lose touch with his humanity in some sense. Many people only view him as a cruel grim reaper without a conscience. Recently, he is starting to feel that way too. So, he is keeping a journal that records things he sees that should have him feeling things. Maybe this is the way he can feel something new.

Personality:: Astel is a difficult one to figure out. He's animated

he has a darker side, one that loves to cause trouble and mischief. He
can be malicious and pull pranks that actually hurt people. This happens
more during the nighttime, so guests strolling the grounds in the dark

Astel is very good at his job, and has a special affinity with fruit trees
and the like. Thanks to his diligent work, the greenery all around the
inn are always full of life, and the cherry trees always have such nice

Personality:: Quiet and controlled, Marcel has a methodical approach

Marcel is capable of filling any other vacancies in the Inn should one
of the other members of staff not be able to perform their role.

It is difficult to get any kind of negative reaction out of him, but he
occasionally clashes with Astel when he causes trouble. Although he
does not seem like it, Marcel is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant
and skilled with most firearms.

the ‘guest’ occupation just means they don’t work at the inn but i can change it to anything, lord, princess, author, hot springs attendant, merchant, you name it I can probably add it. (but the inn keeper is considered ‘lord’ over that area, there can be other lords or such from other areas.)
as for the ayakashi, I may change the unpopular ones or add to it. however I don’t plan on changing everything and adding a whole lot more ayakashi.
