Personality: Though a proud and graceful person, Serafima is terribly shy. She's been in Britain for three years now but still struggles to grasp the language and often keeps her mouth shut just to avoid embarrassment. She has a great interest in making friends and perhaps even joining an elective activity, but Serafima mostly keeps to herself and piles and piles of books, to hide her own awkward nature. Her only known companion is the ever silent Noble Merrikai of house Merrikai.
Likes: Astronomy, books, rainy days, magical creatures, dancing, music, quidditch (secrelty)
Dislikes: Embarrassment, forced conversation, being called upon, the fact that she can't be a prefect, her family's infamy
Fears: Becoming like her mother, the dark arts
History: Serafima's mother is famous, though not for any good reason. Yelizaveta Volkov is a well known Russian witch and practicer of the dark arts who four years previous had killed a unicorn and drank its blood in search of eternal life. Becoming a hollow husk of a being, Yelizaveta was placed in a "hospital" to live out the rest of her life permanently. Rostislav Volkov, Serafima's father, moved her and her brother to Britain shortly after where he found a job in the ministry and Serafima was transferred into Hogwarts. She was then introduced to a boy who she was told she would marry when she turned seventeen, Noble Mirrikai. Though she has no feelings for him, they became good friends. Previously a student of Koldovstoretz, the Russian wizarding school, Serafima still struggles understanding the rules and culture of Hogwarts.

For this reason her father gave her her mother's pet Augurey, Volya.

Personality: Noble has a genuine disinterest in interacting with other people. Some consider him haughty uptight, and far too proud. In truth; none of those people have interacted with him for more than a few minutes, and judge him purely on appearance and family knowledge. Not that this really matters as he is, in reality, rather rude, standoffish, and purposefully misanthropic. He is, however, intensely protective of those he cares about, and extremely shy when it comes to crushes. Very few know what his true soft spots are, and even fewer have seen him smile.

History: When Noble was 7 both his parents disappeared in an unknown incident. He was sent to live with his aunt and uncle on his father's side, highly proud blood purists, while authorities searched for his parents. At the age of 13 he was introduced to Serafima Volkov, daughter of a well-known man of power, purity, and social standing. He was told that when they were both of age, they would be married. Neither Markus nor Serafima showed any interest in the agreement, but found each other to be good, but distant, friends.
