personality || While Zayne is fiercely loyal to the pack, and would do just about anything to keep it safe, it's clear that he's not the most outwardly affectionate individual. In fact, he's a very stoic man who tends to keep to himself and remains quiet during most social interactions. Even after so many years of being apart of the pack, there are only a select few people he will be happy to have lengthy conversations with, his twin sister included. He gets impatient rather quickly, and when he's feeling this way, it's very obvious by the expression on his face and by the way he promptly removes himself from the situation. He's also notoriously blunt, quick to get to the point, and he will absolutely not put a filter on what he says just for the sake of preserving someone's feelings.

history || Zayne and his twin sister, Zoe, grew up in a lab within South Africa, taken from their family at a very young age. They received more intense experimentation than usual, as the scientists were intrigued by them being twins. Additionally, they were trained to become skilled fighters for the use of the military. While Zoe was trained with knives, Zayne was trained in hand-to-hand combat, putting his enhanced strength to use. However, they got fed up with this constant prodding and broke out of the lab when they were sixteen. However, Zayne believed that Zoe had died during the incident, and he found a way to go to the United States to hide, soon after finding the pack of shapeshifters. It turns out that Zoe was alive, because just last year, she came to the United States on a business trip from New Zealand, and decided to join the pack alongside her twin brother. Perfect time, because soon after, the apocalypse swept through.

She escaped at nineteen and roamed a city by herself for some time. She made friends, but one of those friends turned on her in the end, when he exposed her location to the scientists who were searching for her. She was dragged back to the labs, where experiments on her continued. She lost hope of freedom, but when she was twenty-six, a group of shapeshifters busted out of their cells, and one helped free her. She was more than happy to join the ranks of the pack, starting off as an omega due to her submissive personality, but it was realized that her alert nature could be of more use. She was later put into the Xi position when she proved she could handle it.
