juliette bella costello, the princess of spain. she's a piece of work. this party girl loves to talk to guys with her flirtatious and charming personality. she tends to be a bit of a heartbreaker, but it's because she's had her heart broken so many times. once upon a time, she chased after guys who only used her for her royal status and when they realized they wouldn't get anywhere with it, they left. it always hurt, but deep down juliette knew it was fake. still, she let herself fall for their antics and ended up feeling bad in the end. she decided to turn the tables and became rather flirtatious, bringing boys in like a siren and pushing them away if they got too close to her. she left a wake wherever she came, making sure people knew she wasn't one to be messed with. although she's very friendly, she won't hesitate to snap if you bother the people she cares about. she was born into the spanish royal family and has been raised through their traditions, so she knows what she needs to do in order to please her parents. she has to find a prince to bring home and make alliances with other countries' princes and princesses as well. as a social, bubbly girl, she doesn't really have a problem with that. juliette doesn't care much about what people think of her, despite many other princesses, and she's brutally honest. she'll let you know exactly what's on her mind, and she has a sharp eye as well. there's a crumb of food on the outside of your lip? she'll tell you. does your ponytail have flyaways? she'll tell you. is one little thing off on a desk? you guessed it- she'll tell you. she's talkative and makes friends pretty easily, but with that, she also makes enemies. the thing is, with juliette, you either love her or you hate her. she's a likable girl, but if you are more on the introverted or pessimistic side, she's definitely not someone you'll want to surround yourself with. juliette is a jokester and loves to make other people crack a smile at her witty sense of humor and classic comedy. she's a pretty funny girl and absolutely adores making other people laugh. it's just her personality. most of the more serious people avoid her like the plague, because she notices they don't really like her bubbly personality, so she purposely tries to annoy them. another thing about her- she's pushy. she can annoy the everlasting love out of someone who bothers her and it's simply fun for her. yeah... like i said, a piece of work.

aretta grew up abuja, the blooming capital city of nigeria.
she was raised by a single mother, for halfway through the
pregnancy, her father had caught a mysterious illness & passed
away. queen daraja was a strong woman, who didnt let her
husband's death affect her, at least not to the public eye. she
had a country to run, & a daughter to raise. aretta never left
her mother's side growing up; not because she was shy or
afraid of strangers, but because daraja was very involved with
the people, & taught aretta to go out & be with their people.
nigeria had just begun to economically boom, with its economic
growth rate at the highest in the world. and then the war hit,
& the largest city in the country, the biggest port in all africa,
lagos, was bombed & wiped off the map. nigeria is still
recovering from the devastation that hit it, & queen daraji's
health has been declining rapidly in the past six months. aretta
didnt want to leave her mother, but agreed to come to the island
to find a spouse to rule by her side & take her mother's place. it
is her dying wish, and aretta will not leave her country, or her
mother. the man she marries must be willing to live with her. period.

darling tori has basically been in "power" all her life. her (single)
father was elected the president of the united states when
she was only 3 years old, & when his second term ended at
her age of 11, he was so well loved by the people that he
became america's king. for the first time in the country's
history, they were a monarchy. tori traveled across the USA
constantly as a child, and has been a party animal since she
was in middle school & had her first drink. she acted out a
lot in her middle/high school years, trying to get her father's
attention, but never succeeding. that sure hasnt stopped her
though. luckily for their family, the united states was barely
touched (landscape wise) by the war, and her father is working
on their debts from it now. she is his only child & thus the heir
to his throne someday, and he hopes that by sending her off
she will finally calm down, find a powerful husband, & turn
into the queen he always hoped she would become.

he was never supposed to take the crown. he never should
have been the heir to egypt. jabari grew up with a harsh
but loving father & an overly-pampering mother. he was the
third of three boys, & never thought the country would be
his. his older brothers were trained for that; he was allowed
to just go out, be a kid, explore the country. jabari learned
to love two things at a young age; horses and water. as he
grew older, he was given the freedom to leave for longer
periods of time' go sailing on the nile, go riding across the
entirety of egypt, meeting the people, making friends. his
mother had a long struggle with cancer, and passed away
when the boy was eleven. you would think that the worse
thing to happen in his young life, but a tremendous tragedy
struck when the war did. his two older brothers & his father
were killed in battle, leaving jabari the sole royal of his line.
every responsibility was thrust upon him, and while he has
his uncle (mother's brother) as an adviser now, when he turns
18, he will take the crown on the day of his birth & be the king.
no one pushed/forced him to go to the island. he knew he had
to do it. jabari knows that this is his duty, finding a wife &
bringing her home to rule by his side. he has to pick someone who
makes strategic sense, who could bring her own powerful
alliances to his country & help them rebuild what was lost.
