while colette st. clair seems like the perfect girl, she's far from it. on the outside, it's simple. she's the queen bee, pureblooded slytherin princess from a rich family, decent grades, plenty of friends, and if she wanted a boyfriend she could certainly get one. but behind the scenes, it's very different. beyond that confident facade, colette is very insecure and constantly struggling. she was once a happy and easy-going child, until her mother died when she was in her second year. she became cold-hearted and distant, shutting herself off from most of her main friends. the girls she's seen with now follow her around more like minions than friends, and latch on to every word she says. coming back to hogwarts for third year was one of the hardest things she ever had to do. she still felt grief from losing her mother after being at her home all summer. being in a huge mansion practically alone can affect one's mind. her father was rarely around, throwing himself into his business work to distract him from the loss of his wife. so colette had to wander the halls on her own and deal with her emotions by herself. when she came back to hogwarts, she was the only one who saw the thestrals pulling the carriages. while they scared her at first, she grew attached to them and when she sometimes saw them in the forest, she showed them affection. she believes that they are misunderstood creatures and while others find them ugly, she finds them beautiful. colette's soft spot is probably the thestrals living in the forest. while she doesn't have true friends to help her cope with the loss of her mother, she has them to comfort her. she formed a close bond with them and frequently visits them. no one has seen her sneak off so far, and she intends to keep it that way so she can keep up her confident, tough act. she doesn't like anyone to see her as weak or soft-hearted, so she doesn't let them see that side of her. at the tender age of fourteen, she's been through more than the average kid her age. while most of them grew up in modest homes with parents and siblings, colette had a close bond with her mother and was never close to her father. although she never struggled financially, having everything she could ever want didn't mean her heart wasn't empty. the lavishly decorated halls of their mansion were long and the marble floors and white columns made it seem so spacious and empty. she spent her time writing or playing the harp, something her mother taught her when she was young. her mother's death had actually been quite a mystery. while she was relatively young, only in her late thirties, she had already had her will written out by the time colette was three. as if she knew something would happen later in her daughter's life. colette inherited literally all of her mother's possessions as well as the money from her business as a popular fashion designer. when the young girl found her mother dead, the aurors were called, to no avail. an investigation was started and went on for months before her mother's killer was found. it was her father's former lover, a woman named josephine collox. she did it out of jealousy to get back at her father for leaving her many years before he married her mother. josephine was put in azkaban and the family of two were left to grieve. colette's mother was the glue that held them all together. without her, colette and her father really didn't have a bond, so they drifted away. colette frequently spent time in her mother's study, reading the books she left to her daughter in her will. it was almost as if she knew that josephine would murder her someday. in her will, it stated that colette could have all of her possessions, including many secret items locked away in the attic from her mother's family, the house of whitethorn. as the summer came to a close, colette still couldn't bring herself to go into the attic or her mother's painting room. the older witch was an incredible artist as well as a designer and she was a remarkable painter. in her grief, colette didn't want to go into those rooms. so, she spent most of her time in her mother's private study. she frequently fell asleep on the lavish sofa, a book laying on her chest and the fire still burning. it wasn't uncommon for her house elves to wake her up in the middle of the night and take her into her bedroom. she had a close bond with one house elf in particular, a female named bitsy. bitsy had grown up with her and the two were more like friends, although as a house elf she still felt compelled to serve colette and insisted on calling her mistress, as much as the young witch protested. every day became the same, until her father sent her to hogsmeade, on her own, to prepare for third year. seeing all of the other third-years with their mothers truly damaged colette, and she remembers hiding in an alleyway and crying her eyes out. it was impossibly hard for her to deal with after the loss of her own tugging at her heart. going back to hogwarts was smoother than she had expected it to be. her friends immediately rushed to her side, telling her all of the latest gossip and asking for her opinions on hairstyles and other boring girly things. colette would just nod and state an opinion, not really listening. she's quite a cynical girl and after her mother's murder, she began to think that the people around her all had bad intentions, which is why she stopped trusting people. she has a lot of issues with trust because of this and doesn't let anyone get too close to her. of course, there was one issue with her coming back to school. since the st. clairs were a socialite family amongst the wizarding world, the daily prophet heard all about the st. clair matriarch's death. it was all over the wizarding community and on the first day of school, colette was bombarded by questions about it. she snapped a few times and a few students were the victims of a rather skilled stinging hex. the week of detention was worth it. for the first semester, she stayed docile, ignoring the students trying to intrude on her private life. she avoided interactions with certain people and tried to focus on her studies or take walks into the forest to visit the thestrals. there are a lot of little facts that people don't know about colette though. her favorite season is winter because she finds the snow enchanting. winter is a docile, calm season where everything is frozen, almost in time really. the trees and nature don't do anything. it's a resting period, and when spring comes and the snow melts, everything begins again. but for her, winter is a cleansing period of time. the christmas holidays were once her favorite, she had family traditions that were important to her, but after her mother's death, they weren't the same. she debates between staying at hogwarts over break or just going home, but she hates being alone. she's rather skilled at playing the harp as well as the piano and grew up playing the two instruments. her favorite color is light green, ironically for her placement in slytherin. she fits most of the slytherin mold, being intelligent, focused, cold-hearted... besides, her entire family came from slytherin, so it was no surprise that she was sorted into the house. she comes from two well-known, ancient pureblood houses that go back centuries, her mother's family going all the way to the beginning of the founding of the wizarding world. her father's family came along a bit later, though, and after a while, colette's mother and father decided to elope. she is expected to be a proper pureblooded girl and go through with traditions, such as a lavish wedding when she is eighteen with another pureblood and being the heir to the st. clair family, she needs to take care of her family's legacy. it's quite stressful for someone as young as colette, and weighs on her mind quite a bit. she tries to focus on other things to avoid getting so stressed out and anxious. colette has three personal pets, a snowy owl named artemis at school, a leonberger named hera at home, and a male, black cane corso with amber eyes named zeus. her family has multiple leonbergers, as her grandfather owned a kennel, and her parents kept the tradition going. she has one to herself, a female named hera, who is extremely protective of her. she's very loving towards colette and she was a gift from her father as a puppy when colette's mother died, as a hopeful distraction. it wasn't uncommon to see colette asleep by hera, who has a lavish dog bed in front of colette's four poster bed, protecting her while she rests. she shares said dog bed with colette's other dog, zeus. both are guard dogs, and while they make great pets, they are really there to protect colette against any kind of threat that may approach. her father wanted to make sure she was safe after her mother's murder, since they were on edge and needed to be careful. anyone could be lurking around and her father didn't want to lose his daughter and his wife. besides that, colette also loves to read. she spends a lot of time in her own study as well as her mother's, reading whatever book she can get her hands on, if she's bored. she's also read quite a bit of muggle literature and her favorite story is romeo and juliet by shakespeare. a close second is a midsummer night's dream. at hogwarts, her favorite place to go is in the back of the library, where no one usually sits. she can be alone within the aisles of books and think about whatever she wants to think about. she appreciates freedom and while she is solitary, she longs for someone to spend her time with. romantically, she's the girl a lot of guys fall for. she's wanted but unobtainable. on the outside, she's quite stunning, and she's the queen bee of her year. she's considerably the most popular girl amongst the third-years and it wasn't uncommon to find a group of girls jealously talking about how they wished they had her looks. truth be told, colette was afraid of romantic interactions. she didn't want to open up too much to a guy and mess it up. she wanted someone who could be there for her and challenge her in a relationship. she wants a guy to devote himself to her. colette likes to play hard to get as well, so he's gotta be up for the chase. he's gotta treat her like a lady. when it comes to blood, she doesn't believe in blood supremacy. muggleborns, half-bloods, and purebloods are all the same deep down. just because someone comes from a place foreign to her doesn't mean they are bad. however, she is required to marry into another pureblood family. almost all pureblooded children are. she knows she will do it for her mother, to keep her legacy alive. the house of whitethorn as well as the st. clair family are both considerably important in the wizarding community, so she has to find another important family in order to please her father. she takes responsibility very seriously and tries as hard as she can to be the best daughter she can possibly be for her father since her mother is now gone. for now, she's waiting for a proper pureblooded boy to follow tradition and court her. she thinks a boy should take time to win her heart, especially if he's really interested in her. as for her appearance, colette is nothing short of a beautiful girl. she's rather short and has, in fact, stopped growing. she gets her height from her mother, as her father is six feet and seven inches tall. meanwhile, her mother was only five feet and five inches tall. colette, who has completely finished growing, is five feet tall. although she isn't tall, she certainly isn't weak, especially with spells. her stinging hexes will send anyone running for the hills. she weighs around ninety eight pounds and has a toned, curvy hourglass figure with long legs. she has full, light pink lips and very pale, glowy and smooth skin. her hair is a shade of light white-blonde, which she gets from her mother's family along with her height. her eyes are an icy shade of blue and she has sun sensitivity, making it hard for her to see if she looks into any light that is too bright. colette has sharp senses and an even sharper tongue, so watch out. she'll either send one of her well-known stinging hexes your way or a few harsh insults, depending on whatever you've done to anger her. besides that, she seems like the perfect pureblood girl. poised, elegant, graceful. no one bothers to get to know the girl underneath, though.

Koraki, the half-blood Slytherin, is a hopeless romantic, it was so
painfully clear to not only his friends, but his family, or more
specifically his father.
Koraki barely knew his mother, she is his Muggle blood, her father
is an esteemed and well-known wizard, Varien Sullivan. Koraki
had a sister, a twin, she had died when they were both five,
Koraki had well, set something on fire while they were playing in
their tree-house in the middle of their large country backyard,
his sister Dove had been trapped under a fallen piece of wood
and no one was able to put out the fire before Dove was
unfortunately killed. His mother blamed him, told young Koraki it
was his fault his sister had died and for a long time, he believed
her and yet, his father defended him, desperately trying to
explain the instability of young magic. This instilled a deep fear
of his mother, even after his father kicked her out, leading any
boggart he encounters to take the form of his angry mother.
Before his sister died he was cheerful, adventurous, and wild
yet, after the incident with Dove Koraki closed himself off,
becoming cold and taking long, quiet, and lonely walks around
their country home. When he came to Hogwarts he adopted
flirting as a coping mechanism to hide how broken he was, as
well as putting on the 'Slytherin Bad Boy' attitude, becoming
very full of himself. Deep down Koraki developed a love
for learning about history and ancient spells, making him a
go-to when cramming in the study time for any tests and a
go-to for any assignment. Even though he's smart, he's not
popular, he's seen as another snarky and smart Slytherin
boy, which he doesn't mind since he'd rather stay out of any
large friend group and he would prefer to stick to a small and
loyal group of friends.
