𝒜s far as identical twins go, the children of Shan Yu are about as identical as they come; on the surface, the only difference
is their gender. However, anyone who's spent any length of time around them could tell you that the resemblance is only skin
deep. Personality-wise, the twins are like night and day - but when they choose to conspire with each other, they work togeth-
er deceptively well.
𝒦ai is the male twin - and the older one, if only by a margin of minutes. He is cold, calculating, and manipulative, avoiding
direct conflict wherever possible. Highly intelligent, Kai is constantly analyzing others, whether it be by silently listening or
testing them in conversation. Even if it's your first time speaking to him, chances are he already knows a thing or two about
you, and won't hesitate to use whatever he can against you if he feels so inclined. He is cunning, quick-thinking, and able to
keep calm in stressful situations, rarely betraying any signs of stress at all. In fact, he seldom betrays signs of any emotion,
making him nearly impossible to read - and he'd prefer to keep it that way. He's quite arrogant, but surprisingly quick to back
out if things aren't going his way. Kai protects himself before anything - with the one exception generally being his sister, who
he will stand up for no matter what - typically much to her chagrin. It would seem that, of the two, Kai is the one more suited
to the lifestyle of a conquering warlord - another thing which frustrates his sister to no end.
Kai owns a falcon named Khulan; he prides himself on how well-trained she is, though it's obvious he thinks of the bird as a pet
more than a hunting aide.
𝑀ei, unwillingly nicknamed 'the girl one', is the slightly younger of the twins, and also a force to be reckoned with - though
for entirely different reasons than her brother. Unlike Kai, Mei seems to go out of her way to run into confrontation; she's bell-
igerent, hot-headed, and exceptionally defensive. Contrary to her brother's calculating nature, Mei is headstrong and often re-
ckless, with a habit of getting in over her head and then refusing to admit it. While her brash and blunt nature may make her
seem overconfident, Mei is actually quite insecure - she often finds herself compared to her brother, the 'prodigal son' of her f-
amily, and feels as though she is seen as lesser than him. Believing she needs to somehow prove herself, she acts cocky and ch-
allenges everything in the hopes of standing out from her brother. However, it's not very hard to break through her facade and
see her confidence falter - though she's stubborn enough to defend herself to the last word, even if it's obvious she feels corner-
ed.
Mei owns a dog, a Caucasian shepherd named Aslan. Though bred to be a guard and hunter, Mei has thoroughly pampered Aslan,
leaving the intimidating canine rather spoiled and lazy.
