Appearance: Aside from the above image provided, he can also take on a more "Human" looking appearance with Lighty Tanned skin, Lots of Freckles on his Cheeks and Nose, Jet-Black Hair, and his Markings take the Appearance of Light Brown Birthmarks.
Personality: (It's a bit hard for me to describe his personality in detail so for now I'll just say he's an INFJ ^^')
History: The Once-ler grew up in a farmhouse about a mile outside of a Middle-Class town. His father divorced his mother just after he was born. He, his mother and his Two Elder brothers moved in with his mother's sister, Griselda, and Griselda's husband, Ubb. His older twin brothers, Brett and Chet, are, in two words, incredibly stupid. Their mother, dreaming of a cushy lifestyle, named her third and final child "The Once-ler", hoping the name would motivate him to be the best (Though the name eventually came to mean "Once upon a Time, as he states). The Once-ler grew up in an emotionally abusive household, with his mother constantly pushing him to be successful and berating him harshly for his numerous failures. She eventually gave up on him, telling him he would never amount to anything. As a child and teen, The Once-ler was too frail to work the farm, so while Brett and Chet did that, he was left to his own devices. He spent his time learning various skills in an attempt to impress his mother. (I.E. Cooking, Sewing, Knitting, Playing Guitar) While he was successful at learning, he failed miserably at getting his mother's attention.
Fast-forward. The Once-ler is about 18 years old, and has designed something called a Thneed (Things Needed) To make it, he needs to find the perfect material. The Once-ler leaves home, a leaving-the-nest sort of thing, and ventures off into the world to find something worthy enough to become a Thneed, unaware of the fact he would unexpectedly meet up his runaway childhood friend he had lost years ago that would eventually become his wife just two years later. (Wip)
Skills/Abilities: Aside from the basic Quartz Gem abilities like Shapeshifting, Fusion, Weapon Summoning and Super-Human Strength, The Once-ler posseses the ability to make and bend ice to do his bidding, whether it be summoning a giant clawed hand made of the solid cold crystal or billowing out a huge cloud of deadly frost from his mouth. His Cryokinesis can take on two other forms aswell, like Liquid (Liquid Nitrogen) Or a Chemical (Blue Fire) Though it all has the same effect respectively. Though since Ice is just a frozen version of water he can somewhat control that aswell. (Though it has to come from an already existing source, like an ocean, river or sink, he can't make it from his body like he can with ice) Due to this ability his body can withstand temperatures several hundred degrees below 0Β° without hurting him, Though on the other hand this makes him particularly more sensitive to heat than most people. His weapon is a large, long-handled Battle-Axe like the one here: (Image is not mine, credit goes to the original owner)

Other: His type of Gem is a Blue Jasper and his Ovate Gem resides on his upper back. This is an odd little tidbit that happens, but whenever he's barefoot (Which is usually always) and running, his feet are usually engulfed in blue flames that leave behind a trail of ice shavings wherever he goes, so he's pretty easy to track, which can lead to a big disadvantage to him if he's trying to get away from someone. His Bright Blue eyes also glow intensely whenever he's experiencing strong emotion. It should also be noted that whenever he's using his Cryokinesis his eyes go blank, pupils and irises disappearing, and his hair Turns Snow White. He's usually seen carrying around his Blue Acoustic Guitar on his back:

(I hope this isn't too much and that I didn't anger any Steven Universe fans since my character kinda strays away from what a normal Gem should have ((Extra traits that you don't see in canon, I.E Sharp Teeth, Ability to change skin color and a being born instead of made, except being Steven of Course)) I'm sorry if I upset anyone! I'm not sure if Quartz Gems are allowed to have Elemental Powers!)
