history; astrid was born in denmark before her mother and non-biological father left to England, where the majority of her mother's family lives. unknown to her father, her mother had slept with heimdallr the norse god of light, resulting in the pale, bright haired girl. it was only when heimdallr came to her after her first vision that she learnt of her true parentage. astrid left to the island after her senses began to cause issues for her, making it difficult to focus on tasks due to hearing everything around her and being able to see farther away. astrid has slowly began to adjust to her senses and uses them to her advantage when she can.
